A Child's Christmas (Mills & Boon Heartwarming)

by Kate James

Paige stood in the circle of their arms. Everything had seemed so bleak and hopeless just a year ago, and here she was today, with her son and her husband in their new home. Jason’s birth father had made good on his promise to be a part of his son’s life. He and his family had stopped by for a visit a few days earlier. Jason was finally able to give his father the shoe box full of Christmas gifts he’d made for him. He’d replaced last year’s tiger painting with a new one—and he had created a very special gift for Mark’s entire family. There’d been tears all around.

Now, here were all the people most important to Paige—her parents, Daniel’s parents, her former neighbors and, of course, Laura. Of all their blessings that Christmas, the most precious were a sibling on the way for Jason and Jason himself being healthy and whole.

With the sound of whoops and hollers and more cheers, Paige accepted Daniel’s kiss and thought about the miracle of Christmas, reflecting that the most wonderful gifts of all were the ones that couldn’t be wrapped, but resided in the heart.
