Two years later...

But more than that, he’d learned compassion, kindness, and strength. April couldn’t wait to see what the future had in store for him.

And there’d been peace. Nothing had been heard of Sam once they’d chased him off, and though there were occasional troubles, under the leadership of the men, there’d been a calm over the region. The Black Claw clan was powerful, slowly becoming the solid clan it once was.
“Looking like a gorgeous day,” said Ryder. “Can’t wait to get it started.”
“Me too,” said Stone. “Maybe we can go into town later, let Sean hang out with some of his friends.”
“I like that,” said Jack. “We take care of business, and then we have some fun.”
“And then we have some more fun later,” said Ryder with a smile.
She sat down with the men on the far side of the patio, taking Amelia into her arms. She had Ryder’s eyes, Jack’s hair, and Stone’s full lips. Each of the children was a wonderful blend of the four of them.
Their futures were bright, and April knew it.
“Love you guys,” said April, leaning over and placing a peck on Ryder’s cheek, then Jack’s, then Stone’s. “And I love you, too!” she called out to Sean, who smiled back.
“Love you, too!”
“And we love you,” said Ryder with a grin.
“Love you, babe,” said Stone.

The morning eased by, each minute a treasure to April.
What the next years would have in store for them, she couldn’t say. But there wasn’t a doubt in her mind that they’d be amazing. She had her men, and they had her.
Whatever was to come, they’d see it through together.
April’s life was full of love. She was lucky, blessed, and happy.
