“Yeah, they were. I kept on watching the bedroom door in hopes that you’d come back out,” Nuke laughed. Nuke caressed the welts on her body. “You fucked that girl up!” he chuckled.

“I had to mark my territory!” Jasmine kissed his nipple. “Are we going to be okay?” Jasmine stared up at him.

“Yes, trust me!” He pulled her to him and kissed her again. “Believe it or not, I’m the good guy in all of this.”

Their arms were wrapped around each other when they finally exited the bathroom an hour later. All heads turned to look at them as they strolled into the main room of the clubhouse.

“That had to be the most fucked-up make-up sex I’ve ever heard. The two of you need counseling!” Toby laughed as he sat down in one of the chairs. “Seriously, you both look a little worse for wear.”

“It works for us!” Jasmine replied as she hugged Nuke tighter.

“I can see that.” Toby looked them over again and shook his head with a grin.

“We’re going home. I’m tired as fuck!” Nuke said as he led Jasmine outside. They walked toward Jasmine’s car. One of the prospects opened the gate for them. As Nuke opened her door, movement across the street caught his attention.

He could see the silhouette of a man crouching between two vehicles. At that moment, everything happened fast. He saw two more figures appear. That was when he turned to call for Toby. Before the words were out of his mouth, a bevy of firebombs landed over their fence. Glass fragments and fire flew through the air as screams began to ring out.

He saw one of the hang arounds rolling on the ground. Fire had engulfed his entire upper body.

Nuke tossed Jasmine to the ground and shielded her with his body as more firebombs landed near them. He reached behind his back for his gun, which he didn’t have. “Shit. Listen to me, stay here!” he said into her ear. Jasmine nodded and he kissed her before he got up and raced to the back of the clubhouse.

He scrambled up and over the fence and headed the back way toward the three people who were setting the Hells Vipers compound a blaze.

As he neared them, two of the assailants took off but that didn’t matter to him. He only needed one to get the information he wanted. The straggler tried to follow his friends, but it was too late. Nuke leaped through the air and took him to the ground.

He quickly stood up, grabbing the man by the front of his dark hoodie. He snatched the hood away from his face. “Who in the hell are you?” Nuke followed his question with hard punches to the man’s face and body.

“Fuck you!” The man spit blood into Nuke’s face.

With one blow, Nuke knocked the aggressor out. He then noticed the Disciples of Ares tattoo on his neck. He dragged him back across the street and to the Hells Vipers compound, where several areas were in flames. So far, coming back home had not gone as he’d imagined.

  Chapter Fifteen

If You Want Blood (You Got It)

“This place sucks!” Nuke said as he stepped over the body of a Disciples of Ares club member. “How were they calling this a clubhouse? It’s an embarrassment to the MC community,” Nuke grumbled as he went through the last closet and gathered up what was salvageable. He’d only retrieved three semi-automatic pistols.

“I don’t know!” Kevin gasped for air as he bent over and zip-tied the ankles of another dead club member. “I hate this shit!”

“You hate the clean-up,” Nuke replied. Nuke opened a drawer and removed several bags of weed. He opened one of the bags of marijuana and smelled it. “I got dibs on the weed.” He stuck the baggies in his pocket.

“Why do you always get the weed?” Pipe griped as he wiped the blood onto his jeans that was dripping from the pipe in his hand. He then re-hooked it back onto his belt.

“I didn’t say I wouldn’t share, douchebag!” Nuke laughed as he knelt down and lifted the upper part of the body as Pipe lifted the feet. The body was bagged in the plastic they brought with them. They carried it out to the van parked in the backyard.

“Did Jasmine tell you that her friend from work hooked up with Medic?”

Nuke chuckled. “Yeah, she told me. It’s nothing serious. I guess Medic had one of his PTSD moments and she’s not answering his calls anymore. She also avoided Jasmine on her last day of work. Why, you interested in her now? I heard she has a crush on you.”

“Fuck no! I mean, I don’t know. Medic said she could squirt. What do you mean on her last day of work? She quit?”

  “I had her quit.”

“She’s not even working there to cover vacations and stuff?”

Nuke shook his head as they put the body into the back of the van. They rolled it up against the other stiff that was already inside. They caught their breath, then turned around and headed back into the house. Kevin was sitting on the couch.

“Good job at not getting your DNA all over the place!” Nuke said sarcastically.

  “I’m tired!”

“You’re being lazy. You don’t mind the killing but you hate the clean-up!”

Kevin flipped Nuke off. “These guys are fat and my back hurts.”

“You’ve always hated the clean-up!” Pipe replied as he and Nuke knelt down to pick up the last body. “Why you make her quit?”

“Who quit what?” Kevin butted into the conversation.

“Jasmine and I want her home.”

“And you want to keep her all to yourself,” Pipe added.

  “Yeah, is that a problem?”

“You’re a micromanager!” Pipe said with a slight laugh.

“Yep and I’ll admit it, I’ve gotten worse since I got out of jail.”

“We should have brought a hang around with us!” Kevin reiterated, bringing the attention back to him.

“How is that smart? Hmm? Non-patch members at a hit?” Nuke asked as he and Pipe headed outside to the van.”

Kevin slowly got up off the couch. “How is it smart that we didn’t take them all out?” He picked up the girl that was tied and gagged in the corner. He tossed her over his shoulder.

“And how is it smart that she’s still breathing?” Kevin called out to Nuke as he trailed behind them. He waited until they had the body inside the van before he tossed the sobbing girl on top of the dead men.

“The President, VP and Sergeant at Arms, that’s enough death to get our point across,” Nuke responded as he closed the van door. He then walked up to the front of the van and climbed into the driver’s seat. He started the vehicle as Pipe went back inside the house to make sure that it was clean of anything that could lead to the HV.

“Remember, it was your father who taught us; the point is to make a statement without drawing unwanted attention,” Nuke continued. “We don’t want an all-out war again. The civilians will start hating on us because we’re involved in another biker war.”

Kevin climbed onto the passenger seat.

“You need to remember, too, that my dad also told us to snort pepper right before we shoot our loads. Man, that was some fucked-up advice. Tell the truth, you tried the pepper, didn’t you?” Kevin smirked.

“Yeah,” Nuke said, giving him a halfway smile. “Damn near sneezed myself to death,” he chuckled.

Kevin groaned as he shifted in the passenger seat. “My back really does hurt. You got anything for pain at your house?”

Nuke nodded. “After we take care of this, we can swing by my place.”

“What are you going to do about your brother and that whole mess?” Kevin asked.

“Tech told me that Holden is in over his head in debt. He owes everyone he knows. I’m positive that’s why he attempted to be a drug dealer by using the kiosks at the mall.”

“It’s not easy dealing drugs. Television makes it look like anyone can do it.”

“Mm hmm, I don’t know if he was banging the mom first or the daughter. He set me up from the beginning.”

“He’s fucked you over before, dude, but I know it’s hard to see it coming from family.”
>
“I know but him stashing drugs on me five years ago wasn’t the first time my family has screwed me.”

“Why is he in so much debt?”

  “Gambling. He’s in deep.”

“You don’t think that one of them shot him? The people he owes money to?”

“I don’t think so. I truly believe that he planned it all to get me down to Indy and to Kordell’s house. I was the scapegoat for their murder plan. He needed me to want to help him even though I hate his fucking guts.”

“Eighteen-year-old girl and a killer. Women are insane.”

Nuke laughed. “You got that right!”

“You going to prove all of this or just do it the old fashion way and give him your own justice?”

“I have no idea. It might be one of those things where karma will just fuck him up in the end,” he chuckled. “At least the insurance company hasn’t paid up yet. Holden is still a broke-ass motherfucker.”

Kevin twisted in the seat to look back at the house. He then shifted back towards Nuke. “Hey, did I tell you that I beat the shit out of a skank with a belt?”

Nuke gazed over at him. “No, you didn’t. Did you like it?”

Kevin smiled. “Yep, it’s a good way to release some anger.”

Nuke shook his head. “Never discipline in anger. I’ve told you that! You can cause permanent damage or kill somebody. You have to be in control when you enforce obedience. Anger is not a controlled emotion.”

“You don’t really expect me to believe that, do you? I know you, Nuke; you probably beat the shit out of Harley Quinn,” Kevin said, chuckling as he used the nickname that Pipe had given Jasmine.

Nuke looked into the rearview mirror, which was angled towards the house; Pipe was still inside. “No, I don’t, not like that. We practice domestic discipline. I also flog, paddle and use the strap or my hand for discipline or in foreplay. She’s not ready for the whip yet but I don’t walk in the house and beat my wife if the dishes aren’t clean.”

“I thought you were going to fuck Jasmine up at your homecoming party.”

“Naw, I was upset that she sold her wedding ring. I wasn’t so upset that I would fuck up my marriage.”

Kevin stared at Nuke, still not convinced. He knew how out-of-control violent Nuke could get and he could, too. It’s one of the things that made him, Nuke and Pipe such good friends. “What if she cheated, I bet that would set you off?”

“Why are you trying to get me to say I’d beat my wife?”

“Because you spend too much time with her. It’s not healthy!”

“You sound like a bitch right now, you know that?” Nuke shook his head at Kevin. “She didn’t steal me away from you” he chuckled. “I’m still your friend. Aren’t we having a bonding moment tonight?” he teased. “It’s the three of us, just like old times.”

  “Fuck you!” Kevin laughed hard.

“What girl did you beat with a belt?”

“This gash that works at a liquor store over on Ray Street.”

“Can she get us free alcohol?”

“Yep, she got the alcohol for your party.”

“Cool. What the fuck is he doing in there?” Nuke asked as he twisted around in his seat and looked back at the house.

“He’s probably doing something weird with a pipe.”

“There’s no one in there for him do anything weird with.”

“He can do weird crap to himself.”

Nuke chuckled. “Jasmine told me that when she worked in long-term care that she had a few patients with prolapsed rectums. That’s going to be him one day, always shoving stuff up his ass. It’s just going to fall out one day.”

They both laughed as Pipe walked out of the house with two plastic shopping bags. He climbed in through the back door of the van and sat down on the side seat.

“What took you so long?” Nuke asked as he drove off.

“I got us food,” Pipe said and held up the bags. “I was hungry, figured you two would be also.”

“Way to look out, bro. What you got?” Kevin attempted to turn around in his seat and flinched in pain.

“You’re really hurting, huh?” Pipe asked with a concerned look.

“Yeah, I’m not sure what I did. I think I’m just getting old.”

“We’re all getting old,” Nuke said as the stopped at a stop light. “Honest to God, I fell asleep the other night at nine thirty.”

“I watch Antiques Road Show!” Pipe chucked. “I wish I could find some crap that’s worth a whole lot of money.”

“We watch it, too!” Nuke laughed. “We play a drinking game. You know the episodes where they show you what the price was and what it is now? We guess higher or lower and whoever loses has to drink.” Nuke continued to chuckle. “We get fucked up some nights.”

“Can you imagine how disappointed the biker fetish women of the world would be right now hearing this conversation?” Kevin laughed as he looked out of the window.

“They’d probably be scared shitless considering the cargo that we got in the van!” Nuke replied. “Including that bitch back there squirming.”

“I got some ham, roast beef and bologna. Bread, too. The other stuff we have to cook. They had steaks in the freezer. I took some snacks, chips, cookies and the Mountain Dew. It’s a two-liter but it hasn’t been opened.”

“We use to fuck the same women. I’m sure all of us can drink out of the same two-liter,” Nuke said as the light turned green and he drove towards the highway.

“Yep, we USED TO!” Kevin arched an eyebrow as he looked over at Nuke.

Nuke shook his head. “You think I spend too much time with my wife, too?” He looked in the rearview mirror at Pipe.

“Nope, if I was married to a good woman, I’d spend time with her. That’s how you keep a good woman. I just can’t find one that’s worth keeping.”

“What about the waitress?” Kevin asked.

“She’s back with her ex, but she still wants to hook up. I hate women like that. Why do they expect someone to be loyal to them when they can’t be loyal to you?”

“All women are whores,” Kevin said as images of Cindy flashed through his mind and he dismissed them quickly. How could he have been so blind when it came to her?

“Not all women,” Nuke said. “If you keep getting a whore, it’s because you keep choosing a whore to be with. It’s like when women say that all men are dogs. They don’t want to self-reflect and realize that they keep choosing a dog to be with. They put up with his shit, keep taking him back over and over again. Men do it, too. They keep letting those skank women in their beds. Next thing you know, they’re knocked up and you’re stuck with that woman you don’t want and some kid for life.”

“He’s right about that.” Pipe handed Kevin a sandwich. “You want a sandwich?” He tapped Nuke on the arm.

“No, I’m good. I’ll take some cookies, though.”

Pipe dug around in the bag and handed him a snack pack of chocolate chip cookies.

“Hey, what do you call a whore in her own bed?” Nuke asked as he threw cookies into his mouth.

“I don’t know, what?” Kevin asked.

  “Rare!” Nuke chuckled hard.

Kevin shook his head and Pipe stared at him. “I don’t get it. Rare?” Pipe asked as he rolled up a piece of ham and shoved it in his mouth. “Why is she uncooked?”

“You’re a fucking moron!” Nuke said as he shook his head in disbelief.

Kevin laughed so hard that he moaned out in pain as he leaned forward and grabbed his lower back.

“You said ‘rare’!” Pipe replied defensively. “That doesn’t make sense.”

“Motherfucker, ‘rare’ as in ‘unusual’; it’s rare that a whore is in her own bed!”

“Ooo, alright, I get it now. I thought you meant she wasn’t cooked. I was thinking why would I cook a whore?” Pipe laughed.

Nuke snorted so hard that cookies sprayed out of his mouth.

Pipe ate another piece of ham
, then put the bag on the seat next to him. “I get so fucking horny on nights like this.”

Kevin and Nuke both nodded in agreement. “It’s the adrenalin of kill or be killed,” Nuke said as he poured the last of the cookies into his mouth.

Pipe looked at the bound girl, who was staring at him with fear in her eyes. He cocked his head to the side, and then he tilted it back to a straight position. “I’m horny but even I wouldn’t fuck her. Her perfume smells bad; it’s giving me a headache!” Pipe fussed.

Nuke nodded in agreement and he cracked a window to let in some fresh air. “I thought it was just bothering me. That shit better not get in my clothes.” Nuke pulled the collar of his shirt up to his nose and sniffed. “Fuck!”

“Harley Quinn is going to be pissed,” Pipe joked.

“I told you!” Kevin slapped the back of his hand onto Nuke’s arm. “More trouble than it was worth, letting her live.”

  Nuke sighed.

Pipe removed the gag from their captive’s mouth, and she immediately began to talk. “My mom is a Snake Swallower. She’s been down with the club for years, and I’m 822 loyal, too.”

“Aw hell, we got a talker!” Pipe grumbled.

“I was only at their clubhouse to buy some weed. I wasn’t hooking up with any of them. My friend Tricia said the weed they have is good.”

  “It is,” Nuke replied.

“Tricia, my friend, she was there when the other guys from your club came. She didn’t go to the cops either!” She spoke so fast that she needed to stop and gasp for air. “I’ve been to several of your parties! I love the Hells Vipers! I even talked with your wife once, Nuke! She told me about going to the clinic; I had this rash that was spreading.”

“That’s just nasty!” Nuke turned up his nose.

“You done fucked-up now, girl,” Kevin laughed. “You mentioned she-who-is-unmentionable.”

  Nuke chuckled.

“No, no that’s not what I meant. I didn’t mean what I said in a threatening way!” she continued to plea. “I meant I won’t say anything if you let me go! I love the Hells Vipers! I’m loyal to the club. My whole family is.”
