Soft Sounds of Pleasure
Page 25
Be safe, Charlie.
By the time Jonah poked his shaggy head out onto the patio, Lila was crying with the giggles as Colton gnashed his teeth. "Little shit," her lover grumbled in a low voice, but he smiled at the boy. "Hey, kiddo. Welcome back."
"Spill something on your shirt, Lila?" Jonah asked with an angelic look Lila pegged as fake, stepping out onto the porch and studying their position as they snuggled together on the wicker swing.
"I wish you were funny," she told him, her grin belying her words, aware she was still wearing the shirt Colton had offered her the night before.
He looked at Colton with a huge smile, waggling his eyebrows in a decent imitation of Groucho Marks before he turned for the table. "Hey look, a jigsaw puzzle."
Jonah tugged the lid from the box holding the baseball-themed puzzle she'd brought, one she had assembled with Charlie several years before. His hair fell over his eyes as he began searching for the straight edge pieces. Teenagers, Lila thought with fond exasperation, you had to love them; it was what kept you from killing them.
Curious emerald eyes peeked at them again from under his mahogany bangs. "You staying for dinner, Lila?"
"Even better," she informed him, disentangling her limbs from Colton's and moving across the stone patio to lean over him at the table. Reaching into the box to pull out a corner piece she spied, she placed it on the table and propped her chin on his head as she slid her arms under his and squeezed him tightly. "I'm doing the cooking."
The soft sounds of pleasure the new men in her life made at her announcement mingled with the one in her head as Colton put down his book, moved to pull out a chair, and joined them as they began fitting the pieces together.
The End
About the Author
Eden Connor graduated from Converse College with a degree in Psychology so long ago, her sheepskin is chiseled in stone. She's been a graphic artist, a bridal photographer and an antique restorer. Since the death of her true love, she raised two children to adulthood and now has the time to return to writing. She writes primarily contemporary erotic romances, along with the odd bit of erotica. Most of her writing is set where she lives, in South Carolina, so expect the handsome stranger to come equipped with a slow drawl. Addicted to hazelnut creamer, baseball and cranberry glass, she likes the music of Motown and when not writing about adults behaving badly, she takes a stab at the occasional needlepoint canvas.
She's currently hard at work to help Daniel De Marco find love with a beautiful, dark-skinned woman who appears just as life takes an unexpected twist for Colton and Lila, and Eric De Marco might just fall for someone you've already met, so if you've come to care about the De Marco men, there's more ahead.
