Absolutely Not

“Great! It just so happens that I’ve already made the reservations for air and hotel, plus a car to use once you’re in Barcelona. This is great, isn’t it?” Norman gushed. “You two must be feeling on top of the world right now, right?”

Appraising their stained, blotchy bodies, Maisy let out a mischievous giggle. “Actually, we’re kind of blue at the moment, Norman.”

“Blue? Blue! Are you insane? How can you possibly be feeling blue? You just got engaged for chrissakes.”

“I didn’t say we were feeling blue. We’re just blue,” Maisy clarified through another impish giggle.

“Literally,” Keller added, squeezing Maisy tight.

“You two aren’t making any sense,” Norman said with a tsk. “I’m chalking it up to pre-wedding jitters. Hey Keller, you busy after breakfast?”

Keller slanted the telephone an apprehensive look. “That depends. Why?”

“I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind giving me and Rudy a hand. We’re moving him into my place tomorrow.”

“Oh that’s great, Norman!” Maisy said. “Rudy’s a wonderful person, and he’s good for you too. You need someone to help keep you on the straight and narrow.”

“What can I say?” Norman said with a laugh. “The big naïve lummox obviously needs someone to take care of him and show him the ropes here in the states, so I figured I may as well volunteer for the job.”

“I’d be glad to help, Norman,” Keller said.

“Excellent. Then tomorrow night you and your fiancée,” Norman obviously relished saying the word, “can join us for cocktails. The four of us have lots to celebrate. Rudy and I are going to get started moving his stuff about ten o’clock tomorrow morning. How soon can you be here?”

Keller looked at Maisy and picked up the bottle of chocolate syrup from the nightstand. “As soon as I manage to replace chocolate as the number one love of Maisy’s life.”

“At that rate you’ll never get here.” Norman laughed. “Let’s not get carried away, Keller. I know Maisy loves you but—”

“I’m hanging up now, Norman. I’ll be there in time,” Keller said as he slipped out of his jeans and shirt. He jumped back into the bed and squirted chocolate all over himself, giving extra attention to his cock as it saluted the ceiling.

Eyeing Keller with a lusty appraisal, Maisy licked her lips. She had no doubt at all that her future husband would succeed in his mission.

  “But—” Norman began again.

“Trust me,” Keller said as he disconnected the call.

  About the Author

Daisy Dexter Dobbs has a valid reason for lying when she’s asked where she gets the ideas for her books. She knows most people wouldn’t believe the truth about the madcap mayhem that goes on in her daily life. Case in point: Imagine frantically trying to file your way out of a locked bathroom door with a teeny nail file, dressed in nothing but a too-small towel while you're waiting for a real estate agent and a family with three small kids to arrive for a showing of your house. Okay, now picture the contents of a box of just-delivered sex toys (purely for research purposes, you understand) strewn on the bed just outside that locked bathroom door. Mmm-hmm, it really happened.

Happily married to her soulmate, the award winning artist and writer believes in love, happily-ever-afters and the wondrous, magical escapism of reading and writing.
