“Then what are you here for except to die by my hand?” Con queried with typical arrogance. Ember stood shivering behind him. Her hand clutched the back of his tunic while his protective Druid nature roared for release.
The Faction leader smiled. “We have a proposition.”
Constantine straightened. His eyes scanned ten of he Faction. Was it possible that he could avoid a battle? “I would hear your terms, Faction,” Con replied, while his eyes took in the location of the enemy.
The Faction laughed. “You are who we thought you would be.”
“Do not talk in circles, spit out what you might say and save yourself,” Constantine said.
The Faction smiled.
Constantine watched as it began to fade.
That will happen when another vampire's talon has speared the heart that sluggishly pumps blood throughout a vampire's body.
Con watched the huge Exotic male step away from the Faction who was now crumpled at his feet.
Con's eyes met those of the female behind him.
He had thought to never lay eyes on this female again, for he knew she would be heavily guarded.
What had happened to make the Druids come out of the shelter of their coven.
And why had they come to Con?
It took only seconds for Constantine to consider these things. They melted away when the battle began.
Constantine was caught up in the fighting like the tornado he was.
Destroying everything in his path.

A note about EXOTIC:
Exotic is a short story post-script of sorts that was written with my Druid Breeder fans in mind.
