Chosen: Their Vampire Princess (A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance)

by Harlow Thomas

Shrugging, I look away. My gaze lands on the crashing waterfall. “I didn’t know anything else. My whole life I’d heard stories of my duty, my destiny. I knew I would have to save myself for my chosen. Just as my mother had done for hers, and my grandmother before her, and so on. I’ve lived such a sheltered life, I didn’t know what I’d been kept from.”

He runs his fingers up and down the line of my spine, sending waves of need through me. “And now you’re trapped with four men who all desperately want to claim you as theirs.”

That thought makes my nipples tighten and my sex clench. Oh God. “That’s not a bad thing.”

“But do you want all of us?”

I shake my head. “I can’t have all of you. You know that. I’ll choose one.”

  “And you’ll taste us all.”

His lips press soft kisses against my neck and down my shoulder as he unties my top. When the fabric falls free, I moan.

“Is this okay, princess?” His breathy words slide across my skin like a caress.

  “Yes,” I sigh.

When his palms cup the aching swells of my breasts, a tremble rolls through me. It feels so good. Better than I could have imagined.

Leaning back against him, I whisper, “Take me, Sebastian.”

  Chapter 11

Sebastian stills at my request. I know he wants me. The steel length of his cock is a painful reminder of our combined desire.

  “Not yet.”

  Disappointment settles over me. “Why?”

He nips my shoulder and a zing of hunger hits me at the bite of his teeth. “Because, I have a duty to you. You’re going to choose me. We’ll have a lifetime for me to take you, to fill you with my come, to give you the next generation.” Turning me in his arms, he cups my cheek in one hand. “Today I’ll prove to you why you’ll crown me your prince.”

He’s so sure of himself, and honestly, at this point I have feelings for all of them, with the exception of Thomas. But a big part of me fears that after tomorrow, I’ll want him as much as I want the others.

Sebastian drops his lips to mine again, his hands tangling in my hair and crushing my bare breasts to his warm chest. It feels so good, skin to skin, I don’t want to stop. But there’s an insistent pressure between my legs begging for more. Taking his hand, I slide it down my front until his fingers rest over my bikini clad pussy.

“If you won’t take me, at least teach me what it means to be pleasured.”

His blue eyes widen but the shock is quickly replaced by desire. “You’ve never done it on your own?”

Shaking my head, I take my lip between my teeth and untie each side of the bikini bottoms. “Show me.”

His groan sends a shiver over me as large fingers move over my smooth skin. Electric sparks dance behind my eyes at the contact. I toss my head back and cry out with each pass of his fingers over my clit. This is more than I can take. The pressure builds and builds, making my breaths come in weak pants and wetness flow between my legs. Something is happening, something amazing.

  “Sebastian,” I moan.

“That’s it, baby. Hold on to me and let it come.”

He circles his fingers over that sensitive bud faster until I’m shaking in his hold and then it hits. The pleasure races from my core all the way to my toes. I cry out loud enough I’m sure anyone in the vicinity will have heard me.

As I’m coming down from the toe-curling pleasure, I stare into his eyes and marvel at what this man has just done to me. “That…” I begin, but I don’t really have adequate words to describe what’s going on in my body—in my heart.

  “It was beautiful to watch.”

  My cheeks burn.

“I’m serious, Felicity. Don’t hide from me. Not ever. I’ve never seen something as wild and striking as you in the throes of an orgasm.”

“I didn’t know it would be like that.”

My body is still trembling as I work to control my limbs and process what had just happened between us.

“It’s something I hope to get to do for you again and again.”

Letting my gaze travel down his chest, until it reaches the bulge in his shorts, I try to work out what I want to ask him.

  “Can I…do that for you?”

He bites his full lower lip before nodding and shoving his shorts down his hips. The thick length of him springs free and presses against my belly.

“What do I do?” I ask.

“Take me in your hand. Stroke up and down.” His voice is rough, as though he’s trying to hold on to his control.

Wrapping my palm around the rigid shaft, I study his face as I move gently over him. When I reach the crown and roll my hand over the smooth skin, he throws his head back and sighs. The muscles in his chest flex with each of my strokes as his tension builds. As his breaths grow more frantic, I realize he must be nearing the same peak I’d experienced. I grip him harder and move faster, making him groan.

“Felicity,” he rasps as he attempts to pull away. “Stop.”

I don’t. Instead, my fangs unsheathe and I watch as he pulses thick, white streams of his pleasure onto my belly. He rests his forehead on mine as he slows his breathing and stares at the evidence of his orgasm.

  “Sorry,” he offers.

I run my finger through the liquid and let out a soft laugh. “You make a much larger mess than I do.”

He steps back and grins. “True. But it feels so damn good, I really don’t care.”

“I want to see you do that again.”

Smiling, he nods. “I won’t stop you.” Then, he closes the distance between us, scoops me into his arms, and runs for the lagoon.

He launches us into the pool of water while we’re still holding each other. I come up laughing and spluttering right next to him. We swim lazily together, enjoying the calm water and the solitude of our secret sanctuary. I find myself fantasizing about a future with Sebastian by my side, our wedding, our life together.

It would be nothing like my parents. They hated each other, that much was obvious to everyone at the Night Court. My mother’s human consort was nothing but a vehicle to provide an heir and after I was born, my father only made rare appearances in our lives. It stayed that way until his death when I was ten. I want more than a loveless union based on obligation. Which is why I am still not ready to choose. No matter how much I like Sebastian in this moment, I can’t be sure he’s the right choice. My mother thought my father was the right choice and she ended up miserable.

“Hey, what’s going on in your head over there?” Sebastian’s voice breaks through my thoughts.

I shake my head. “Nothing. There’s just…a lot to consider.”

I feel his hand grasp my wrist as he tugs me through the water until I’m pressed against him, our feet on the sand as we bob in the water. He’s hard again and I’m suddenly hungry.

  “Sebastian,” I whisper.

  “Felicity.”

  “I need you.”

He doesn’t respond. Instead, he presses two fingers deep inside my pussy as he kisses me hard. My body tenses at the welcome intrusion of his hand and then, as though he read my mind, he breaks the kiss and turns his head, offering his neck.

Without pause, I sink my fangs into his neck and take. His fingers continue working me and I come around him as I feed. His answering groan and the throbbing of his cock between us makes me fully understand the power of my bite.

“I want that forever,” he says.

  “So do I.”

  It’s the truth.

  I want Sebastian.

  Chapter 12

By the time Sebastian and I make it back to the house, I expect the others to be in bed. Exhaustion weighs down my limbs from the hours spent swimming, touching, tasting, and exploring each other. Now, all that remains is for me to break the news to the other three that I’ve made my choice. I’ll crown Sebastian my prince, and this will all be over.

Sebastian’s hand is linked with mine as we walk through the door. He s
miles and presses a soft kiss to my temple when I yawn and release his hand.

“Go to bed, princess. I’ll see you when you wake up.”

Nodding, I offer him a little wave and start up the stairs with a smile on my face. As I pad down the soft carpet of the hallway, I relive the highlights of my time with Sebastian. I’m so lost in my own head, I barely register the wall of man I collide with as I turn the corner toward my room.

Garrett’s strong hands keep me from falling, and his dark gaze rakes my body.

“Did you have a good time?” he asks, his tone clipped.

  “I did.”

  “And?”

“We’ll talk after we all get some rest.” I don’t want to discuss this now. I just want to bask in the afterglow of a wonderful day.

Garrett doesn’t release me from his hold, instead he presses me up against the wall. The need rolls off him in waves. “Did you kiss him?”

I bite my lip and nod.

  “You liked it?”

  I nod again.

For a moment I worry he’s angry, but the look that flashes across his face is mixed with unknowable emotions. Then, his hands are in my hair and his lips are on mine. My decision is wiped away then and there in the tenderness of that kiss. Garrett moans against my mouth as he worships me with his kisses and his hands.

Pulling away, he takes two steps back and runs a hand through his hair.

  “Don’t choose. Not yet, Felicity.”

He leaves me in the hall, my fingertips resting on my swollen lips, but I swear, the man takes a part of my heart with him.

As soon as I’m through the door and safe in my room, I throw myself on the bed and stare at the ceiling. How did my mother do this? Maybe she kept herself at a distance from her four chosen. Was that why she and my father hated each other so much?

A soft knock on my door has me sitting up and running my hands through my hair.

“Come in,” I say as I stand.

Miller walks through the door and grins at me. He’s got a tray laden with what looks like a mug of tea and a plate with some butter cookies.

  “Midnight snack?” he asks.

I can’t fight the smile tugging at my mouth. “Sounds good.”

He sets the tray on the coffee table in my small sitting area. “I just figured if you were planning to send us home tomorrow, I’d get one last conversation in with you.”

My heart gives a tug at his gesture. “I’m n—“

He holds up a hand. “You don’t have to justify yourself or convince me of anything. Like I said, I just want a little more time with you in case we have to say goodbye.”

I take my tea and inhale the scent of jasmine. It’s usually something I find soothing and reminds me of home but now that thought causes a curl of unease in my stomach. “I haven’t chosen yet, Miller.”

Relief shows on his face even as he tries to hide it. “Okay. That’s…that’s great.”

Setting my mug back on the tray, I take his hand. “In the short time we’ve been here, I’ve already started to care for you all. I don’t know if that’s a mistake I’m making, or the right way to do this. I’ll have to choose eventually, but I need to be sure the one I pick is the right man. I know you all want your villages to be given amnesty and I wish I could do that for you for your lifetime even if you aren’t crowned.”

He reaches out and runs a finger over my cheek. “Lovely Felicity, this is so much more than winning a prize for my village. I’ve dreamed of you my whole life.”

  “What do you mean?”

“My gift, the thing that sets me apart from the others in my village, is the magic in my blood. Since I was a child I’ve had dream visions which almost always come true. I’ve seen us together. You and I are written in the stars.”

  My chest tightens.

  “You can’t know that.”

He pulls me close and kisses me, his tongue pressing inside my willing mouth as he lays me back on the couch. Fitting himself between my legs, he hovers over me and continues stealing my breath with his heated kisses as his hands roam my body. This feels right, as right as it did with Sebastian and Garrett.

I groan as his hands slip under my dress and up until they cup my breasts.

“Felicity, don’t send me away without letting me taste you.”

Suddenly his hands are gone from my skin and he’s sitting back on his heels as he takes off my panties and parts my thighs.

  “What are you doing, Miller?”

“Tasting you,” he growls as he spreads me open with his fingers and trails kisses along my inner thigh.

The moment his tongue touches my clit, I nearly arch off the couch. Shockwaves radiate through me as he runs the tip of his tongue over me in tight circles before sucking the tender skin into his mouth. His finger begs entry to my pussy and I cry out as he pushes inside my tight body. I’m already so close to that same feeling I had earlier today. I know Miller can tell. He increases his focus to my clit and pumps his finger back and forth, curling it and hitting some secret spot inside me that sends me over the edge. I come and come, my hands fisting his hair as I cry out his name.

He kisses his way up my torso until he finds my lips. I can taste myself on him. A contented sigh falls from him as he rests his head in the crook of my neck and I run my fingers over his back.

“At least now I know I’ve left a lasting impression,” he murmurs.

How can I want him so much when I just kissed Garrett in the hall? Not to mention, I was sure of my choice to be with Sebastian until I arrived back here. I haven’t even spent any time with Thomas yet. The thought of him makes me nervous. Deep down, I know if I give him the chance he deserves, all hope of choosing between them will be lost.

  Chapter 13

  Miller

I still have the taste of Felicity’s pleasure on my tongue as I leave her room. I may not get a chance at time alone with her, but she’ll make her choice knowing how I make her feel.

“Did you have fun?” Sebastian asks, stepping around the corner and frowning at me.

I’m not going to lie or hide anything from him. I know he would have taken the same chance given the opportunity. “I did. And so did the princess.”

“You’re not taking her from me. I’ll win this—all of it.”

“Doubtful,” I say. “She won’t choose you.”

  “How are you so sure?”

“I’ve seen it. I’m destined for her.”

He laughs. “So have I. It’s been foretold since I was a child that she and I were destined.”

My chest tightens at the thought. “My visions are rarely wrong.”

“The same goes for the seer who told us I was her chosen.”

Garrett walks into the hall, his broody frown in place. “I think we’ve all been told the same thing. But we can’t all be her destiny. Someone has to be her choice.”

A blinding headache takes hold between my eyes, causing me to wince before the vision hits me. “Shit,” I mutter, holding the heel of my hand to my forehead.

“What is it?” Sebastian asks, but I hold up my free hand.

All I see is the box that holds the crown and Felicity holding it. When she opens it, there’s nothing inside.

“This will end badly,” I say, certain of the feeling of foreboding. “We can’t fight with each other over her or she won’t be able to choose. We have to work together to help her take her place.”

Sebastian scoffs, but Garrett nods his head. “I can do that,” Garrett says. “Whatever it takes to help her.”

I flick my gaze at Sebastian. “And you?”

  “Fine. Whatever she needs.”

  Chapter 14

  Thomas

Felicity walks through the kitchen in her short skirt and tiny tank top like there’s no one else in the room. Maybe she doesn’t see me as anyone worth being concerned over, and that’s my fault. I’ve stayed back, kept quiet. I’m good at biding my time, always have been, but today I have her all to myself. I fe
ar the damage has already been done and my plan has backfired. I saw her with the other three over the last few days. She’s enamored with them and I’m not even a blip on her radar.

“Hello, Felicity,” I say when she sees me sitting at the table.

“Thomas! You’re so quiet, I didn’t even notice you.”

As I’d suspected. “I spent my childhood with ten older brothers. I learned quickly that I could go around unnoticed and get what I wanted if I stayed quiet and just took it.”

Her cheeks turn a soft shade of pink. “And is that what you’re doing here?”

I stand and cross the room until I’m standing directly in front of her. My gaze locks onto hers and she holds her breath as I lean in. Reaching past her, I grab a mug and hand it to her.

“I made coffee,” I say, forcing myself to turn away from her.

She clears her throat and says, “Thanks.”

Busying myself by cracking eggs into a bowl, I listen to her breaths and wonder if she’s turned on by me. I can barely look at her without getting hard. It’s been torture.

  “Are you hungry?” I ask.

She lets out a soft hum. “I’m starved. Yesterday was busy.”

I chuckle darkly. “I’m sure it was. First Sebastian, then Miller.”

  “What?”

“I heard you call out Miller’s name from your room. If you wanted to keep it a secret, you should have closed your window. Sound carries.”

  “Thomas, it’s not—“

I don’t want her feeling guilty. This is impossible enough without her worrying about hurt feelings. “No. Don’t worry about it. That’s how this goes. You take us, taste our blood, make your choice. I know, and so do they.”

“Then why have you been so quiet?”

I smirk. “Because once you taste me, you’ll never be satisfied by another.”

  Chapter 15

Thomas shocks me with his statement. I stare at the devastatingly handsome man as he whisks eggs in a bowl and pours them into a hot pan. So much for me thinking he was shy.
