She gasped and moaned as she moved her hips against him.
Jace pulled back, then propelled his hips forward again, making Natalia moan. As they got into the rhythm, he started to thrust faster, Natalia meeting each one. Both were gasping and panting out words of affection.
Natalia’s hands clenched involuntarily, her nails digging into his back as he drove her closer to the edge. “Harder!” She gasped. As he complied, she moaned, “Yeah, mmm. More! Fuck.”
Jace groaned as her nails dug in, pushing him closer to the edge. He could feel her walls start to ripple and fed into her breathless demands. He reached down and tweaked her clit one more time and she screamed his name as she came.
“Fuck!” he shouted as her walls closed in again and sent him after her into the abyss of ecstasy.
Neither spoke as they struggled to catch their breath.
Jace shifted until he was on his back and pulled Natalia in close to his side.
She curled up against him and laid her head on his chest. After what seemed like hours, Natalia spoke, “This isn’t a onetime thing is it?” she gazed up at him in concern.
Jace smiled lovingly. “Oh, no. You’re stuck with me now.”
Natalia smiled in return. “I think I can handle that.”
Jace laughed as he pulled her into a kiss.

SNOWED IN

DEDICATION
I’d like to thank my readers for continuing to read the dreams in my head.
CHAPTER ONE
Destiny Abernathy could not believe how suddenly the snowstorm had started. The weatherman said the storm was coming, but he hadn’t said it would be coming this fast or this fierce. It didn’t help that there was already snow down on the ground and as she drove up the hill, she needed to be careful. Luckily, for her, she wasn’t too far from the cabin she co-owned with her estranged husband. She’d left several messages for him to let him know she was going to be up to the cabin, so there wouldn’t be any issues with her being there.
He hadn’t called her back, so she just assumed it would be fine for her to be there for her two week vacation. She’d been long overdue a vacation, way overdue. Destiny couldn’t remember the last one she’d been on. At the urging of her doctor to take some time before she caused herself some serious health issues, she planned the trip out to the cabin.
She gasped as her car shook from the power of the snowstorm that didn’t care about how she was almost to her destination. In fact, her car and the snow seemed to be in cahoots with one another. The Element swerved one more time, hitting ice and skidded across the road and into a snowdrift. The force of it made her hit her head against the steering wheel and she groaned while holding onto her head.
She touched the spot which hit the wheel and stared at her fingers. Tender yes, but blood no, thank god there wasn’t any blood. Damn that hurt. Okay, she wasn’t going to be able to stay out here in the snow; she’d have to get to the lodge on foot. Being so out in the boonies like this where no one would come by and see her if she stayed inside the vehicle, she knew she’d better get out. Peering out at the hood of her car, she could see what looked like steam coming from it and it looked crunched.
Destiny figured she could walk the rest of the way to the cabin. The weather wasn’t going to get any better and if she stayed in the car, she’d be in danger. She glanced at her cell and saw there wasn’t any reception and frowned. There was no way around what needed to be done. She grabbed her coat from the back seat and her purse, tossing her phone into it. She sat the purse on the passenger seat and slipped into her coat. The Element was roomie, so at least she wasn’t struggling to get into the coat. She’d only be able to take so much with her. So, she grabbed her purse and overnight bag. It would have to be enough until she could come back and get the rest of her luggage.
With a huge intake of breath, she opened her car door, grabbed her keys and got out. Locking the door, she gathered her bearings first before she set off in the direction of the cabin. She shouldn’t have come at all, but it was too late to worry over it now. She would get to the cabin, let herself in and warm up. It was a good thing she had supplies delivered a few days ago. She wouldn’t have to worry about food, which had been the plan in the first place. The weatherman had been off just a day about the storm, so she’d make due.
Luckily, she’d gotten stuck only a half a mile from the cabin but the cold was making her feel as if she was miles upon miles away. She moaned softly as a blast of cold snow and wind hit her, again making it hard for her to walk. She held onto herself and kept walking, her teeth chattering with the howling of the wind her only company. Each blast of the wind slowed her down and pushed her back, it grew hard to keep her balance. Her clothing already felt soaked and she was starting to feel numb. She had to make it—she had to.
She gasped as a fresh fall of flurries hit her in the face and soon, she couldn’t see much in front of her. It was getting harder to trudge along the side of the road and use it as her guide, because everything was turning so white. Destiny cried out as she stumbled and then fell into the snow. The expletive she let out when one of her knees hit a rock in the snow wasn’t repeatable. This day couldn’t get any better. Now not only would she be freezing and wet when she got to the cabin, she would be hobbling.
She struggled back to her feet, needed to hurry, it wasn’t going to get any better and she didn’t want to be out in it when the shit hit the fan. Moisture had already soaked through the jeans she was wearing and her legs were numb. The thought of being stuck in the snow and dying wasn’t pleasant and it spurned her on. Staring straight ahead, she could see the cabin off in the distance. Only a little longer in the snow she told herself.
Once she got to the cabin, she would make herself some hot chocolate. It was one thing they’d always made sure to have. She would get out of her wet clothing, start a fire and warm herself in one of the quilts her grandmother had made for her. God—why did she pack so much into the overnight bag? This was one of those moments she was regretting being a woman. The bag felt like it had a ton of bricks in it. She was sure it didn’t help that it was wet from the snow or that just walking took a lot of effort.
Finally, she came close to the cabin and she frowned, noting the SUV that sat parked in front of the structure. Shit. Jackson Abernathy was here. It didn’t matter though, she had no choice but to go in. She trudged through the driveway and made her way to the front door. Sighing, she placed her overnight case down in front of the door and with numb fingers, she began searching through her purse for the cabin keys. Her teeth were chattering and her hands shook when she finally found her keys and the front door opened just as she was about to insert it into the lock.
He stood there, staring at her with his brilliant blue eyes.
She’d always loved his baby blues. At one time, she thought he could see into her very soul with them. Unfortunately, he couldn’t really, and their relationship crashed and burned as quickly as it had built up. He looked handsome and still made her heart beat faster when she saw him or heard his voice. The sad thing was that today wasn’t any different, even after being apart for a little over a year.
“What are you doing here, Destiny?”
“Hello to you too, Jackson.” She wanted to cross her arms over her chest but the ability to do so was lost as she held her belongings in her hands. “I have as much right to be here as
you.”
“Hello, Destiny.” He sighed. “We agreed to let each other know, so that we wouldn’t run into each other.” Leave it to him to remind her of the obvious.
“Yes we’d agreed to that, and I tried to call you to let you know that I’d be coming here this weekend. You didn’t answer any of the messages I sent.”
“Apparently, I didn’t get your messages or there wouldn’t be a problem.”
Damn the man was too tall, his frame was filling the doorway and she couldn’t see past him. One of the first thoughts to sneak in as she stood there was that he probably wasn’t alone. She saw him roll his eyes.
“I’m , Destiny. No one else is here.”
She didn’t have anything to say to that. It was her old insecurities at work. The main reason she left him was because she thought he was fooling around with his PA and not just any PA, but his very male assistant. Why she even let it bother her anymore, she couldn’t begin to understand. They after all—basically lived apart. What he did now was his business, not hers. God, why did she care still?
The wind outside picked up and a chill shot up her back as she stood there in the doorway. She hugged herself, the heavy coat she’d put on was soaked with snow. She huffed. “Are you going to just stand there and let me freeze to death or are you going to let me in?” She had a headache that wouldn’t quit and she felt so cold. She could see when finally, something clicked in his head.
He paused, truly looked at her and cursed. “Destiny what the hell, you look soaked. Where’s your car?” He moved to the side, so she could come in but not before he took her things from her.
“I was in an accident about a mile down the road, hit my head and had to walk the rest of the way here. I’m freezing.”
“Go into the master bedroom, undress and get yourself warm.”
Destiny paused and turned to look at him. “Why the master bedroom? He was staying in there, it was only logical. He’d gotten there first. They had a spare room she could stay in. Before he could answer her, all of a sudden, her teeth started chattering and she couldn’t stop.
“Can you stop arguing for once and just do as I ask?”
Oh, how badly she wanted to argue. She was just about to answer him through her chattering teeth, when suddenly the world seemed a little wobblier than it usually did. “Jackson…” That was the last thing she got out before she crumpled to the ground.
He reached for her. “Destiny!”
CHAPTER TWO
It’d been a shock to his system to see her coming up the walkway and standing in front of the door. She was the last person he expected to see. Since their separation, they’d managed to stay away from each other, though they ran in the same circles. He stared down at her now, sleeping in the bed that they’d shared often when they had a healthy sexual relationship.
She moaned softly in her sleep, a sound that echoed though his body and went straight to his cock. Damn, he was sick, wanting her even though she’d passed out. He’d stripped her of her clothing and had the fireplace going in the room. She needed to be kept warm. She was still shivering even though her eyes were closed.
She was the last person he’d thought he’d see any time soon. They’d done their best to stay out of each other’s way for so long, it finally became second nature. He hadn’t wanted the separation but there had been way too many fights over things that shouldn’t have been a problem much less issues, Lindeman to be exact. Lance had been his personal assistant and he’d had to spend many nights working with the other man.
Destiny married him, knowing he was bisexual. Nothing ever happened since their marriage, but when he hired Lance, it seemed to be all she ever thought about. It eventually tore them apart. Destiny told him she wanted a divorce and he told her that he wouldn’t give her a divorce, just yet. He told her a separation would be better, thinking that he would have time to convince her they belonged together.
So, to make things easier on her, he’d agreed to the separation with the understanding that they’d stay out of each other’s way and figure out when they actually would get divorced. They’d both got so busy they hadn’t bothered to get a divorce, even though they’d been apart for as long as they had been.
He smiled as he watched her sleep. Perhaps, this was god’s way of helping him keep his wife. Neither one of them filed and that had to mean something right?
The only way he knew how to warm her up faster was with body heat, so he did the only thing he could do—he stripped away his clothes and climbed into bed with her. Jackson brought her close, then pulled the large quilt over them both. He had to bite back the moan as the touch of her skin roused him. She’d always made him horny but now wasn’t the time. He focused on rubbing her arms and legs with his hands generating some heat.
Jackson heard her make a small sound. Good. She was coming to.
“Jackson, what are you doing? Let me go.”
Now he knew she was getting better. If Destiny was protesting, she felt fine. Even though, her voice sounded a little weak, this was the Destiny he knew and loved. He never stopped loving her, the arguments just escalated to the point where they both felt walking away and maintaining some semblance of a friendship would be for the best. In truth, they hadn’t even managed a friendship. He’d buried himself in his work, so he wasn’t pining for something he couldn’t have. It hadn’t been easy but it kept him sane. “I’m keeping you warm.”
“I’m fine.”
“That’s why your teeth are chattering.” He heard her huff and stiffen against him, though she didn’t move away.
“I was fine.”
“You fainted, Destiny. You’re not fine. I’m trying to keep you warm.”
“Is that the reason your dick is pressed against my ass and is hard?”
Oh, it was definitely one of the reasons. The main reason was that she always made him hard. It hadn’t mattered what they were doing and he wanted her. She had that effect on him.
“The one place we never had a problem was in the bed…hell or anywhere else we decided to fuck, Des.”
“Do you have to be so crass, Jackson?”
“It wasn’t too long ago that you loved my crassness.”
“Things change, Jackson.”
“Things change yes, and as they say…the more they stay the same.”
“I’ll just see if I can get one of our private planes to pick me up at the strip.”
He flew his own planes, so they had a private airstrip on the land surrounding the cabin. He shook his head. “I’m sure you realize that a storm came in behind you? Well, from the reports on the radio this is going to be a bad one and we’re going to be good friends for at least a week.”
“Fuck.”
He laughed. “Is that all you can say?”
“It’s all that’s needed to be said in this situation. I don’t want to be here, you don’t want me to be here. So, what else is there to say but fuck?”
“I know what you’re thinking, Des.”
“Do you? Cause, you sure didn’t when we were married.”
It was a low blow and old complaint and it seemed she’d been holding it in for a long time.
“Is that really necessary?” Jackson watched as she turned her head slightly to look at him.
“No, not really, I’m sorry. We really can’t stay here together.”
“What do you suggest we do?”
“I don’t know. I mean we have money, there has to be something we can do, to get someone here to help me go back home.”
“Destiny, stop being so foolish. There’s a blizzard out there, you made it here in time…just barely. My company can’t be so abhorrent that you would want to hurt yourself, can it?”
“No, it’s not.”
He continued to rub his hands over her body. He loved her skin, she felt so soft and dammit, if she didn’t smell good. He pressed his nose into her long black locks and sighed. She still washed her hair in jasmine and vanilla. Fuck, what a turn on. He heard a small sound
and recognized it to be a whimper. As much complaining she seemed to be doing, she wanted him too. To test the waters, he leaned over and kissed a bare shoulder.
“Jackson…” Destiny sounded breathless.
“Destiny?”
“What are you doing?”
“What does it feel like I’m doing?”
“It feels like your taking advantage,” Destiny whispered softly.
“Tell me to stop and I will.” He nipped her shoulder and heard her gasp.
“Jackson…puhlease.”
“Please what, Des? Please stop? Please give you more? Which is it?”
“God, you’re not making this easy.”
“It’s been a year, Des.” He placed a kiss over the spot he’d bitten and heard her draw in a ragged breath.
“Next thing you’re going to tell me is that you’ve been celibate all this time.”
He chuckled. “As a matter of fact, I have been. No time for that, besides, I’ve wanted you and only you for the longest time.”
“We separated for a reason, Jackson.”
“I agreed to a separation, only because I didn’t want a divorce. I didn’t want to separate either but it was the only way I could keep you married to me. I thought long before now you would have decided we weren’t supposed to end this way. Admit it, you’ve missed me and you’ve missed this.”
She moved as if to get out of the bed and Jackson couldn’t stop himself from turning her towards him and staring down into her chocolate colored eyes.
CHAPTER THREE
She closed her eyes, trying not to get caught in his amazing eyes. That was a mistake, she moaned softly as he covered her mouth with his own and kissed her deeply. God, if she hadn’t been warm before she sure as hell was now. The words she’d wanted to tell him to stop him with, died in her throat. It wouldn’t be the truth anyways. He was right—she wanted him, they wanted each other. What would it cost her to have this moment with him? Everything. It could cost you everything.
