Just feel the moment. She was tired of avoiding him, tired of trying to make sure she wasn’t in the same places he was in. This was supposed to happen as far as she was concerned. So many months of avoidance and it had all boiled down to miscommunication and snow. Most of all, she was tired of being alone and without him. She would take it, and then later, she’d walk away and finally get that divorce, instead of leaving them in limbo.

  “Baby, Lance—”

“Shh…” She placed her fingers on his lips. If they talked about the other man, she’d break down. She was the reason they weren’t together, not the man she’d blamed so long ago. It was her jealousy alone that had done it. If she only would have believed him, things would be different. No, they were separated and more than likely, once Jackson got what he wanted, they would go on to a divorce. The thought made her sick to her stomach, but it was a consequence she would have to deal with. As it was, she didn’t want to be reminded of her mistakes, not right now. Not while she had him holding her and kissing her. “Let’s not talk about Lance. You’re right I’ve missed this, missed you.” She noticed the moment that her words sunk in and he wasn’t even thinking about talking about the reason they weren’t together.

He leaned in and she met him halfway, kissing him hungrily, bringing her hands up to his head and holding him by the ears as their tongues dueled. He’d been right this is what she’d been missing for so long. His tongue, his taste and the feel of him pressed against her body.

There was nothing like having the man you cared about holding you and showing you how much he missed you. When he parted his lips from hers, she groaned and heard him chuckle.

“Shhh baby, I promise to continue. I just can’t stop myself from looking at you for a moment.”

She bit her bottom lip as a little time went by, and then before she knew it, his lips were covering hers again and he was thrusting his tongue into her mouth. Eagerly, she was sucking on his tongue and arching into his body as he fully covered her with his own.

Jackson might be a billionaire but damned, if he let sitting behind a desk soften him up. He was all muscle and power. She removed her hands from his head to stroke them softly over his shoulders and down the back of his neck until she could tickle her fingers over his back.

She gasped softly as he suddenly flipped them over until she was on top of him. Looking down at him she once again, worried her lip with her teeth.

  “You’re gorgeous Des, just gorgeous.”

  “Thank you, Jackson.”

“Touch me Des, I need to know that you’re real, that this is real and I’m not dreaming.”

“I’m very real, Jackson.” Even though she just said those words, she did what he asked and stroked her hands along his chest, teasing her fingertips over his nipples.

Jackson groaned slightly and she grinned. “I’d forgotten that your nipples were sensitive.”

“It’s your touch, you do this to me. No one else ever could.”

She heard the emphasis he placed on his last words but she didn’t answer him. Once again, he was trying to bring in Lance but she wouldn’t let him. Yes, they’d need to talk about what had happened, but not just yet. Now, she wanted to savor him. Being celibate for a year was an easy thing for her since she’d focused on her work. It was as if he’d opened a floodgate now and all the pent up need was tumbling forth.

Leaning forward she kissed him, licking at his lips. She could feel him relaxing beneath her. It was her signal that he was allowing her to take over and take over she did. “Let’s just see how sensitive your nipples are again.” She kept her eyes locked with his as she leaned forward and snaked her tongue over one nipple and then the other.

Each lick brought a soft moan from Jackson’s lips. “God, Des. You know just what to do to me.”

She licked over them again, and then suckled one into her mouth.

He pulled her away after a few minutes.

She looked at him, wondering why he pulled away. Didn’t he want this? “Had enough already?”

“No, I want more of your touch, all over my body. Although I think, I will let you play later and I will have my way with you first. It’s been way too long and I don’t think I can take the teasing.”

She had to admit to herself, even if not to him, how she loved that response. To know he wanted her beyond reason felt wonderful even after being apart for a over a year. Take it. Take what he is offering it may be the last time.

Jackson sat up, cupping her ass.

Destiny became lost in the emotion of it all and couldn’t speak.

Jackson stroked her skin with both of his thumbs, sliding slowly up and down over her rounded bottom. They looked into each other’s eyes for what seemed like forever to her.

There was no doubt he wanted her. She saw it in his beautiful eyes but could also feel his cock was hard and insistent between them.

“I’m going to lift you up and slide you inch by inch onto my cock. You ready for that baby?”

“Yes, hurry. Stop talking and do it.” Destiny felt Jackson’s hands at her waist and he lifted her gently up until she hovered just above his cock and then he was inside of her just as he said. Inch by perfect inch. She gripped his forearms until she was fully seated on him and then braced herself on his chest with her hands. “Ah!” She couldn’t stop the whimper as he pushed into her, with his thickness.

“You’re so tight, Des. Fuck, it’s like the first time we had sex.”

Was that awe she heard in his voice? Now wasn’t the time to analyze this. It was just sex, right? It had to be. She couldn’t feel hurt like she did when they’d separated—a hurt that had never gone away.

She groaned softly. He was right, it felt like being a virgin all over again it’d been so long since she had sex. She wasn’t going to waste any more time. Rolling her hips, she started riding him slowly at first, and then she sped up, finding a comfortable rhythm.

“Oh yeah, that’s it Des, take what you want and need from me.”

She closed her eyes, as she rode him. She blocked out everything but the sounds of sex that floated in the room. This was raw, hot need. Purely lust. She hadn’t had sex since the last time with Jackson. So, all this was her need and his spilling over into this instance. She gasped when he tugged on her nipple with his teeth. The sensation wasn’t painful, in fact it went straight to her clit and she felt herself gushing more of her cream onto his cock.

“Where were you?” Jackson mumbled against her breasts.

She watched as he laved that same nipple with his tongue, then sucked it back into his mouth.

Destiny shook her head with a soft groan, tumbling forth from her lips. “It doesn’t matter. Mmm…just keep doing that or anything else that will make me come nice and hard on you.”

Jackson slipped his lips from around her nipple and gave a soft growling sound. Then, he once again, flipped them.

Destiny didn’t say anything by the look on his face she knew she was in for the ride of her life, so she wrapped her legs around his waist and held on tight.

“Good girl. You know exactly what’s going to happen.”

He couldn’t be more right. She could tell he was going to fuck her until she was senseless, so all she could do was to hold on tight.

Jackson pulled back until just the tip of his cock was inside of her and then plunged into her in one sure hard thrust. He filled her so completely in that thrust, she mewled in pleasure. He pulled back again once more, only the head of his cock inside of her. “Now in order for me to fuck you like you need it. You know what I want, don’t you?”

“Mmm yes.” She arched against him, trying to push him back into her, but he wasn’t budging, so she couldn’t. She gasped as he slapped her hip. The sting was all pleasure and none of the pain one would have expected.

“Is that what I want from you Des?”

  “Nooo…” she wailed.

  “Give me what I want.”

He still didn’t move and she wanted to
punch him and give him what he wanted all at the same time. She did the latter. She reached between them and moaned as she played with her clit like he wanted.

  CHAPTER FOUR

“That’s my girl.” Jackson knew his face was lit up with a satisfied smile while watching her do what he wanted. He pushed until he was filling her once more, placing his hands on her hips as he got to his knees and thrust into her. This angle allowed him to watch her play with herself.

Destiny’s lips were parted and small moans filled the room.

He loved it when she made those noises.

“Now, give me what you’ve promised.”

“Bossy, I like that.” He gripped her waist and started fucking her. She was so wet, he slipped from her a few times and had to put himself back inside her.

“Jackson, pardon me but shut up and make me come.”

Feisty as fuck and he loved her for it. He removed his hands from her waist, held onto her thighs, bringing her legs up, so that it angled his cock into her more, and did as she asked…He fucked her. Soon, the room was a blanketed with the sounds of both of their moans and groans. He was close and he was going to come hard. He wanted her to orgasm first, so he sped up and pressed against her hand, so that the friction of his body and her hand added more pleasure.

He was rewarded with Destiny’s scream of pleasure and her body convulsing as she came.

“Oh, yes baby, that’s it come on my cock.” Jackson’s balls tightened and drew close while he bit his bottom lip as he strained to keep fucking her without climaxing himself.

  “Oh god. Jackson—ohhh!”

Jackson could feel Destiny’s legs trembling and soon, he too became lost in the midst of a fantastic orgasmic experience of his own. He jerked into her and flooded her with his seed. Panting heavily, he rested against her, shaking off the aftershocks of their desire. When his breathing returned to normal, he still laid there until she moved restlessly beneath him.

Lifting up, he looked into her eyes and he could see that she’d had a little time to think again. Without a doubt, he could tell she was analyzing what just happened between them.

“Jackson let me up. I need to go to the restroom.”

With a sigh, he lifted from her body and pulled out of her.

She slipped from the bed and turned towards the master bathroom.

  “Des?”

She kept walking and didn’t turn her head; she just lifted a hand as if to tell him she had nothing to say and entered the bathroom, closing the door behind her.

Minutes later, he heard the shower turn on. He frowned. Had his touch been so bad, that she now needed to wash and rinse him from her body? He huffed and got up; grabbing his pants, he headed to the spare bedroom’s bathroom and cleaned up quickly. Once done, he slipped into his pants and headed into the kitchen to put on a pot of coffee. He waited while the coffee was brewing for her to come out of the bathroom. The sound of the shower had stopped long ago and yet, she still didn’t come out.

Then, he began to worry that the knock on her head caused an issue, so he went to the door of the bathroom and knocked.

“Go away Jackson.” Destiny’s muffled voice filtered through the closed door.

“Des, are you okay?” He wasn’t going to let up until he knew she was all right.

  “I’m fine, go away.”

Hell, he’d lied to himself, he wasn’t going away until she faced him and he figured out what was wrong with her. “No, I’m not going away until you tell me what’s wrong.” He moved back as the door opened and Destiny appeared.

She moved past him and picked up his shirt, slipping it on.

He followed after her, grabbing her arm gently and turning her towards him. “Destiny, talk to me.”

“That’s one thing we’ve never been too good at Jackson. We can run a billion dollar company and we can fuck like rabbits. But what we can’t ever seem to do is talk.”

  “Des, we can change that.”

When Destiny shrugged, he let her arm go and sighed as she left the room. The only thing he could do was go after her and make his point. He wanted her. He wasn’t going to let her go this time at least not as easily as he had before. Counseling was a suggestion he was going to give her. Their track record proved that they would need it and he was okay with that.

She headed for the kitchen and went to the cabinet pulling out two mugs.

Ah yes, the coffee he’d made. It smelled up the whole cabin in a delicious way. He grabbed the creamer and the honey for her as she didn’t like to drink her coffee black, like he did. Neither of them said anything as they prepared their own coffee. When she sat at the large oak table, he settled next to her and waited for her to speak.

Her long slim fingers cupped her coffee and that was when he noticed she was still wearing her wedding ring. There was some hope for them, if she was still wearing her ring. He still had his as well and wondered if she’d even noticed. He followed the temptation to flaunt the ring. He wanted her to see it, to know that he’d never taken it off.

Her eyes lit up and finally, she said something. “You wear yours all the time?”

“I never considered our marriage something for show. When I married you it was supposed to last us forever,” Jackson countered. “Never took it off and as I see…neither have you.”

“I couldn’t. It didn’t seem right. We’re living apart, not divorced.”

That had to mean something. The fact that she wore the ring he’d given her, even though they were apart. Once more, he found himself waiting for her to speak. This was important and to go off halfcocked wasn’t going to help the situation. The one problem he did have a year ago was he hadn’t listened to her. He wasn’t going to do that now.

“What’s going to be the difference now?” Destiny’s eyes were filled with tears, they were his undoing.

“Counseling, talking to one another, no shutting each other out. I was angry that night when you accused me of sleeping with Lance. I’ll even go to solo therapy.”

He watched her curls bounce as she nodded. “It was wrong of me to accuse you, and then not let you speak. I understand why you were angry. I also realized way too late that you hadn’t slept with Lance, even though he made it seem like you had. What I didn’t understand is why you just walked away.”

“I have to ask you a question before I can answer that. May I?”

She looked up at him and wiped some tears away that escaped slowly down her cheeks.

“Do you want a divorce?” It pained him to ask, but he needed to know. If she felt determined to get a divorce then he would have to deal with it.

“No. I never really wanted a divorce. I just said it because I was angry. You stormed out that night and it was the only thing I could say that had an impact. It’s not something I’m proud of.”

“Then, come back to me,” Jackson urged.

“Come back to you—and then what Jackson?”

“We work on our marriage. We love each other. I love you, Des. I’ve loved you since I first laid eyes on you. You love me too. I know you do. Every touch when we were in bed earlier, told me you loved me.”

“What if love isn’t enough?” She said softly. Her expression showed how she wanted to believe that anything was possible and this would work out this time. Desperately.

“What if it is enough? The one thing I’ve always loved about you is that you accepted me as I am. The fact that I’m bisexual was never a problem for you. It was the lack of communication that messed us up. Let me remedy that. I’ve learned a lot in our year apart. One of the things I learned is that we’re meant to be. We have further to go, I agree.” He reached over and caressed her face. “I’m lonely without you.”

She melted right in that moment. “Hmm…let’s see if you say that after being snowed in with me for a while.”

“Oh, I’m sure we’ll find plenty of ways to keep each other company.”

“You just want to have your wicked way with me.”

True, but the one thing that I want to do as well is to show you how much you’re loved and how much you’ve been missed. If I have to show you that for the rest of my life I will.”

“I’m going to hold you to that, Jackson Abernathy.” She said in the sternest voice she could muster. She was shaking again, but not because of the bump on her head. It was because the love she had for him was overflowing.

“Please do…Mrs. Abernathy. I have to be kept on the straight path at all times.” Jackson stood and held out his hand to her and she took it with a smile as he pulled her close.

“You ready for the adventure called ‘Us’?”

Destiny smiled and nodded her head. “Oh, hell yeah, and as soon as we have reception, I’m signing us up to speak to a marriage counselor.

  “That’s a good plan…if I don’t beat you to it first.”

They both laughed and he pulled her close, kissing her softly, and then with a bit more heat.

He knew they had a bumpy road behind them, but he had a feeling the road would be a lot smoother from now on, as long as they nurtured their marriage. “May I take you to bed…wife?”

“Of course you can husband, I’ve missed your touch.” Jackson took her hand into his and she smiled, knowing she was going to follow him to the ends of the earth.
