“Things?” Jay asked, softly, not wanting to push her but desperately wanting to know what was going through her head.

“Yes, things,” she repeated, “specifically...” Marty trailed off gestured to Jay’s entire body, not daring to make eye contact.

Jay was pretty sure his heart was about to burst out of his chest. Here was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, the one he had fantasized about every night since they’d met, the one who he had jerked off to in his own office bathroom for fucks’ sake.

Here she was, essentially admitting that she thought about fucking him because she was horny.

“Anyway,” she continued, seemingly more composed than she had been, “like I was saying, I’ve been in a drought but that should hopefully end tonight, so I’m sorry if I’ve been weird and definitely sorry for being inappropriate. Can we blame my female hormones and add it to our agreement of things we’ll never speak of again?” she said, looking at him with a hopeful smile.

Jay couldn’t help but feel disappointed by her honesty. She had kissed him and fantasized about having a quick fuck because she was horny and once her drought ended (tonight, by the sound of it), she would be able to get him out of her head?

Meanwhile, she was so firmly inside his head, Jay didn’t think there was anything he could do to push her out. Jay sighed and headed back to sit behind his desk. He was acutely aware of Marty’s presence at his door, almost as if she was waiting for his response.

After a beat of silence, she spoke up: “I really am sorry, I don’t know what’s gotten into me.”

Jay cleared his throat, not trusting his own voice. “It’s alright, I promise.” Now it was his turn to force a smile in her direction. “Now get out of here before I change my mind and put you to work. Go home, kid.”

  Chapter 14: Marty

Marty hated when he called her ‘kid.’ Or ‘kiddo’ or ‘sport’ or any variation of the nickname.

Sure, she was thirteen years younger than he was, but she wasn’t a damn kid. Maybe she would bring it up to him again.

But not today, not after she had just thoroughly and truly embarrassed herself and made herself seem like a sex-starved lunatic. And certainly not after he had just brushed it off and given her the go ahead to call it quits for the day.

She was still surprised by how their meeting had gone, still bowled over by the fact that he had apologized to her for being in a crappy mood all day, still floored by the news that she was to travel with him for spring training.

Now that she remembered, she was pretty sure she had seen something to that effect in her massive instruction packet that Ralph had left behind. She remembered skimming through it after her first meeting with Jay.

At the time, she was almost positive he was going to send her back to the mailroom so she kind of ignored everything beyond the first week of instructions. Oops. Marty would keep that little tidbit of info to herself.

And she was definitely not over the fact that he had caught her having a naughty daydream of being fucked on his desk, and instead of making up some lie, Marty basically admitted to having a crush on him. Jesus, what the hell was wrong with her?

Still, despite her mortification, she couldn’t help but be a little excited (and also a lot terrified) by the prospect of traveling with him. Staying in the same hotels, meeting up to talk business over a nightcap at the hotel bar. Maybe stopping by his room late at night to go over his schedule and instead ending up drinking some more. And maybe something more than that...

Bad Marty! She had to stop her train of thought before it got away from her. She tried to focus on the matter at hand. Like the fact that it was just after 8PM and she most definitely still had time to get laid by Alex. Then hopefully she would stop being so goddamn horny around her sex god of a boss.

Jay seriously had no idea how he affected the women in the office. Or maybe he did know and didn’t care. Either way, Marty was not immune to his gravitational pull. The man was six feet three inches of raw, primal masculinity. He was confident, didn’t mansplain things to her (which, in the sports world, was as common as breathing to some of these guys), and trusted her decision-making skills.

On top of that, he was fucking gorgeous. Marty didn’t think it was fair that one guy could somehow be smart, beautiful, sexy as hell, physically gifted in sports (pre career ending injury of course), incredible at business, wickedly funny (though he tried to remain professional around Marty), worldly, and did she mention hot??

Focus, Marty. She wrapped up some last-minute tasks at her desk and quickly messaged Alex.

  Marty:

Good news! My boss is calling it a day and I didn’t spill anything on my dress today. Victory?

  Alex:

That is fantastic news. You must be starving. Want to meet at Alibi Room in 30 minutes?

  Marty:

  Perfect. See you soon.

  Alex:

  ;)

Marty forced herself to overlook the fact that he had sent a winky face, the most heinous of all emojis which should only be used in an ironic way.

It didn’t matter. She wasn’t trying to fall in love with this guy. She just wanted to enjoy his company enough that she’d be okay with him sticking his dick in her to get her off an hour after meeting him.

She quickly scanned her makeup in her compact mirror, touching up her lipstick and doing a quick cat-eye before swiping her lashes with mascara. She used an afro pick to fluff out her curls that had gone limp after a long day, and popped a few Altoids. Marty was ready. Hell yeah.

Jay stepped out of his office as she was getting up to leave.

“You headed out now?” He asked, before noticing her change in appearance. “Wow, you did that quickly! I’m impressed.”

Marty shifted a little under his blatantly appraising gaze, a small part of her wanting desperately to know what he was thinking in that beautiful head of his as he took her in from top to bottom.

She smiled, a little shy. “You learn to get ready quickly when you oversleep pretty much every morning,” she said, shrugging as they made their way to the elevator banks.

Jay was quiet as they rode down to the parking garage, though she met his gaze in the mirrored elevator doors several times. She looked away quickly each time, feeling a ripple of excitement and getting the sense that he enjoyed watching her, though she didn’t want to embarrass him by acknowledging the blatant hunger in his eyes.

Or maybe her horniness was causing her to see things. It’s not like he couldn’t snap his fingers and have any woman he wanted in the entire LA metro area.

Jay busied himself in his phone as they made their way down to level P4. Only then did Marty realize he wouldn’t be parked on that level. “Shit, aren’t you in P1?”

Jay shook his head. “I am, but I’m walking down with you to make sure you get to your car okay.”

Marty nearly swooned but recovered quickly. “Are there a lot of dangers awaiting me in the parking garage?”

Jay shrugged. “I’m the bastard who had you stay late. The last thing I want is to be the bastard who had you stay late and then allowed you to be attacked or something in the garage because I was too lazy to ride an extra three floors down with you.”

The sincerity in his statement coupled with the look in his eyes, the look that told her maybe she wasn’t imagining the spark between them, would have melted her panties off if she had worn panties with her dress.

The doors pinged at P4 and Marty stepped out in front of Jay, hyper aware of his presence and wondering if he was staring at her ass. Too curious for her own good, Marty glanced back at him over her shoulder and confirmed that her ass was the focus of his intense gaze, the longing apparent on his face.

Jay quickly realized he was caught and snapped up to meet Marty’s stare, allowing her to see the hunger in his eyes before he blinked, replacing the hungry look with a somewhat sheepish one. “Sorry,” he mumbled. “Old habits, you know?”

  Marty chuckled and kept
walking, timing her steps to walk by his side. “It’s okay. It’s a nice ass.” She swore she saw Jay’s face turn red before she walked ahead of him again, giving him the silent go-ahead to have his fill of her if he wanted it. Marty smiled to herself, enjoying the fact that she made Jay blush for once.

  Chapter 15: Jay

It had been a long time since Jay was this interested in a woman. He had plenty of sex, make no mistake about it. And that was usually all he wanted. He wasn’t a jerk about it — all of the women in his rotation knew he wasn’t interested in anything beyond a casual fuck.

He didn’t take interest in their lives, he didn’t tell them about his life — he typically met them at their homes or a hotel and fucked them and then left. He always made sure they got off, and he was generally happy with these arrangements. The women were all around his age or older, busy career women. They all knew the score.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t thinking when he got home that evening after work. Well, he was thinking, but his mind was on Marty and how her date was going and whether she had ended her drought. His uncontrollable thoughts caused him to invite a girl over to his house, which he never did.

It was a huge mistake, for multiple reasons. For starters, Bruce was terrified. Jay had to put him in the guest room, but Bruce’s barks and howls were the soundtrack to the rest of his night.

On top of that, the girl he invited over was not one of his casual regulars, but rather a woman he’d gone on a few dates with a while back. He couldn’t remember much about her except that she looked about as opposite from Marty as possible, as she was stick thin with straight blonde hair and an ice-queen demeanor. Jay invited her over on purpose, hoping he could get Marty out of his mind.

And so, that’s how he found himself in an unexpected predicament. He stood, butt naked and hard, on the verge of coming while getting the death stare from the angry blonde.

“Hey, I need you. Don’t leave me like this.” Jay gestured down to his dick, while the blonde hastily moved to get dressed again.

“You know what, Jay? You’re an asshole. I told you I had feelings for you and you called me back here so I thought that meant you had feelings for me too.” The blonde looked at him, hoping he would try to explain himself.

Jay sighed heavily and tried to ignore his erection. He would take care of himself later. He just needed to get the blonde out of his apartment so he could get himself off before the blue balls overtook him.

  “Look, Karen, I’m sorry.”

  “It’s Carrie, you jerk!”

And with that, the blonde strode out the door, slamming it behind her.

Jay knew her name was Carrie, of course. He never forgot names. But he also knew that Carrie was clearly not concerned about making him come, despite the three goddamn orgasms he’d given her that night, the last of which led her to breathlessly declare her love for him, at which point Jay attempted to make it crystal clear that he wasn’t interested in her like that.

Which is how he found himself reaching for his trusty lotion and attempting to stroke himself to completion. He tried to conjure up an image to get him there, anything besides the one person whose face had been flashing like a neon sign in his brain since the day they met.

He gave in and sighed as he thought about how Marty had looked that day, sexy as hell and excited for her date. His stroke grew a little faster. He tried to focus on her sinfully sexy body poured into that dangerous red dress, and how she must have worked all day with no panties on, because he had been looking and couldn’t see anything between her and the dress.

Which meant she had been answering the phone, transferring his calls, getting his lunch, managing his schedule — for him, with no panties on. The thought sent him nearly to the edge.

But then he remembered her disappointed face when he told her he needed her to stay late. The way she smiled and nodded but couldn’t quite hide her disappointment. He was an asshole, of that he was sure.

He hadn’t really needed her to stay late. But the thought of her going out dressed like that, so clearly ready for sex, with some random guy who probably didn’t deserve her — well, that thought made him lose all rational thought. So he kept her at the office til after 8PM, giving her bullshit tasks to work on while he tried to make himself appear very busy.

At this point, Jay faltered a bit, his hand now mocking him as he did a piss poor job of finishing himself off, focusing instead on Marty’s blushing cheeks after she was caught staring at him. Her sexy as hell admission that she was horny and found him attractive. Her coy smile as he walked her to her car that night, ever the gentleman.

He’d apologized once again for keeping her, pretending to remember that she had a date and feigning even more contrition. Marty smiled up at him and told him everything was fine. She explained that her date was waiting for her and she was headed to meet him for a late drink instead of the dinner they had planned. Jay hoped his expression was one of delight rather than the intense rage he felt.

She got in her car and went on her way, presumably to get drunk with some douchebag and let him take her home, let him run his hands up and down her body, let him reach between her legs and feel her there, no panties covering her, hot and dripping and —

Jay finally came with a shout, angrily riding through his orgasm as come spurted onto his stomach and thighs. He hated the images that got him there, the ones where Marty was with another guy. He hated that these images made him angry as hell.

For the millionth time since Marty started as his assistant, Jay realized he was in trouble. Big time.

  Fuck.

  Chapter 16: Marty

Marty was pretty sure some witch had put a sexual curse on her. What other reason could there be to explain her current situation?

Alex had turned out to be as charming in person as he was over text. He was classically handsome and well-dressed, with a lean yet muscular frame and an easy smile. Alex was everything a girl should be attracted to. Which is why Marty forced herself to fake her attraction to him when what she really wanted to do was go home and watch Netflix.

But no, Marty wouldn’t do that. She was determined to enjoy her drinks and his company, laugh as if Alex was the funniest guy ever, and eventually go home with him and let him screw her into oblivion.

Which is how she found herself in her current situation, in Alex’s bed, face down, as he thrust into her from behind. Alex moaned and groaned and generally sounded like he was having a fantastic time. Meanwhile, Marty was making a grocery list in her head.

It’s not that she disliked doggy style, but in general she found it hard to come that way, especially without any other sort of stimulation. She had mentioned that to Alex when he’d first suggested having her turn over, but he still insisted, stating that it was one of his favorite positions.

If there was one thing Marty hated, it was a selfish fuck. Alex, for all his charm and handsomeness and sex appeal, hadn’t even checked to see if she was sufficiently wet (note: she wasn’t) before putting his dick inside her. Luckily he wasn’t of size, so it didn’t hurt as much as it could have.

His thrusts became faster and more frantic and Marty thanked her lucky stars that she could get out of there soon. Alex came with a whimper and quickly stilled inside of her. He bent over her back to caress her neck and shoulders, lightly brushing her hair away from her neck. It was the most sensual move he’d displayed all night, and it figured that he would do it once Marty had already decided not to see him again.

He pulled out and went to deal with the condom before he rejoined Marty in his bed. His return signaled to Marty that it was time to go, as she hurriedly pulled her dress back on. Alex’s sated look quickly turned to confusion when he realized she was leaving.

“What happened? You okay?” he asked.

Marty had never been the type to fake pleasure for someone else’s sake, and she wasn’t about to start now. She shrugged as she pulled on her shoes, ignoring Alex’s gaze.

  Alex, for his par
t, was certainly persistent, as he scooted to the edge of the bed and pulled Marty down to his naked lap, his hands roaming up her inner thighs.

“Come on, don’t leave. You didn’t come, right?”

Marty gave him a cutting look in response, trying to keep her eye roll in check.

He pulled her closer to him, still stroking up and down her legs. “I’ll be ready to go again in like five minutes. Less than that, if you take this dress off.” He whispered the last part in her ear, as if his words alone could convince her to lose the dress.

Marty was tempted, if only to finally have her own orgasm. But then she remembered how he had completely ignored the presence of her clit when they were fucking the first time, and she knew that there was no way he would make her come, even if she stayed the whole night.

Still, Marty hesitated before removing herself from his lap. Her hesitation came not from any desire to get back in bed with him, but rather from that innate fear every woman knows - the fear that forces a woman to walk the line between rejecting a guy’s advances or just giving in to him because she could never be too sure if this is the guy who’s going to snap and murder her.

Marty sized him up and decided that Alex wouldn’t go all crazy on her, especially after he got an orgasm out of it already. He was a bad lay but didn’t seem unhinged, which was reassuring.

She tugged on her jacket as she made her way to his front door. Alex quickly pulled his boxers up as he walked with her.

“Did I do something to upset you?” Alex asked, such a sincere look in his eyes that Marty was forced to take a step back.

“Is that a serious question?” She stared at him as if he was playing some elaborate joke. A wry smile curled her lips, though she quickly frowned when she realized Alex was being serious.
