All the women were excited about the thought of getting together and spending not just a few hours together, but a whole weekend in each others company could be a really fun time. Everyone seemed that they were looking forward to this girl's weekend at Morey Lake—all except one—Val. She was still being pretty quiet, it was as if her mind was elsewhere. No one wanted to push the issue in trying to get Val to spill the beans of what was on her mind—her close friends knew she would talk when she was good and ready to. Val knew that her three best friends would be there for her when she needed them at a moment's notice. But for now Val was keeping quiet.

The other women thought maybe she was suffering from having an empty nest now that both her sons were off at college, and her husband Brian was away a lot because he was a long-haul truck driver, which would take him away for sometimes a week or more at a time. In the past her husband was caught picking up more than just the cargo for his truck—other women to be precise. But for some reason Val would forgive him or simply turn the other cheek in denial.

The women enjoyed dining on grilled chicken breast, grilled yams, with Lily's yummy Caesar salad, and Val's angel food cake with berries and whipped cream on top. Along with an assortment of cold refreshments to wash it all down with. Rita supplied them with some wine coolers, along with some bottles of corona that she knew the host was partial to. Toni had brought Helen a lovely gift basket that was made up of a great assortment of Herbal teas, including a couple of boxes of Helen's personal favorite, Bengal Tiger Spice Tea. As Helen began to clear away the dishes, Toni got up and gave her a hand to take them into the kitchen.

“There is the lovely lilacs you left for me, they make a great centerpiece for my kitchen island, but I'm sorry your date was cancelled” replied Helen as she started to rinse plates and place them into the dishwasher. “Oh no worries Helen, my blind date decided to give it another try with her ex-girlfriend” replied Toni smiling over at Helen as she leaned against the kitchen island. “What can I do for you Helen to help you out?” “Could you please go and ask the girls who wants another drink?” “Sure Helen I will be back, I am going to borrow your tray here—I am sure the girls must be getting thirsty” replied Toni as she headed towards the sliding doors to the deck. “Hi ladies, I am taking orders for drinks—let me start with you Val—what can I get for you?” “I would love to have a citrus wine cooler, please” replied Val quietly. Toni went around the table gathering the various drink orders, and collecting empty glasses from the women, returning to Helen in the kitchen. She gave the list of drink orders and then proceeded to help Helen get the drinks prepared, then carried them out to the ladies using Helen's tray, with Helen following behind her sipping on a Corona.

“Well ladies I just want to thank the girls who put this lovely meal together, I am giving you all thumbs up on the grub and a cheers to a great feast” replied Rita as she raised her glass, and once again glasses and bottles clanged in celebration of the successful meal. “Now girls I will tell you all about my big date night last-night—I know Helen has been dying to hear how it went. It started off really nice, Stan and I met at the restaurant, he was a real gentleman, pulling my chair out for me at dinner—opening doors—you know. Well as the night progressed we left the restaurant and went to the bar in the Stanton hotel, where as it turns out we both had rooms there.

There was a lounge singer singing some jazz tunes so we danced a few times round the little dance floor, and had a few more drinks and laughs. I then told him I was going to go up to my room and that I would love him to join me for a night cap in about half an hour. We were both like two school kids, I felt so pumped with excitement, Stan was such a fun and handsome man to be with, he really knew how to treat a lady! I rushed up to my room to slip into my new lilac colored lingerie gown and robe that matched it, and lovely heeled purple slippers that looked so adorable, but not so comfy. I got myself all fixed up and refreshed, and waited for my date to arrive. When that knock on the door came my heart was racing—I jumped up and swung open the door to find my man Stan standing there before me in his pyjamas and robe, holding a bucket with a bottle of champagne, two glasses, and a portable radio. He quickly entered my room and filled the room with compliments on how sexy I looked, as he poured us both a drink, plugged in his radio that he had playing some romantic smooth jazz. Well it wasn't long before we were twirling around the room dancing and laughing.

The next thing Stan stopped, he explained that he needed to take a Viagra pill before this went any further. I could tell he was a bit nervous, he had never taken them before, and it had been a long time since he had been romantically involved with a woman, his ex-wife to be specific. He started having problems in that area, which just added to the problems him and his ex-wife had, they just stopped trying to have sex. That was of course before the super drug Viagra was around.

So Stan took his passion pill and we got busy in the bed, if you know what I mean—well we were hot and on fire, our hot bodies joining together in the heat of passion and becoming one. For such a large man Stan was surprisingly gentle, worrying that he was hurting me and asking me if I was okay. I let him know I was more than okay—!” The girls were laughing through Rita's descriptive story. “We got hot and sweaty—rolling around among the sheets that night. It was all great until.... Stan’s man part would not go down—it was still standing erect the next morning. The poor man was in total stress—we finally had no choice but to call an ambulance for Stan. He was wheeled out of the hotel with his sheets pointing up in a most obvious way—declaring, what was underneath them. I followed him to the hospital, eventually the poor man was all sorted there and things got back to normal—if you know what I mean. We were both so embarrassed by the whole event I don't know if there is going to be a second date with Stan the man and his big pointy part” Rita replied as she burst into laughter along with the other woman at the table. “Well speaking of dates and dating—Helen why don't you go and get your laptop, and I will help you to set up your Golden Date profile—I am sure there is a Viagra filled man out there for you too!” replied Rita as she continued to laugh. “That sounds so enticing, I just can't wait to get up and running, I am missing out on all the fun and excitement by the sounds of it” replied Helen as she stood and made her way into the house to fetch her laptop.

This was just about the time that Toni stood up and gave thanks for the lovely luncheon, but now she was going to make her way to her shop to do some sorting in her store room. Helen walked Toni out to the front and thanked her once again for coming. “Are you sure you don't want me to phone Kyle—he not only deliveries my flowers, but he is the town taxi service along with his friend Liam, I guess they went into the taxi business last fall together” replied Helen with a soft smile. “No I am actually looking forward to the walk to the shop, it is such a lovely day for one. I did want to ask you if you would be interested in doing six small sized paintings for me, of flowers, for my shop—well at any rate I will stop in and take you for lunch next week—what about next Friday—why don't we discuss it then?” asked Toni with a grin. “Well it has been a long time since someone has wanted to commission me to do paintings for them—I am flattered Toni. I sell a few out of my flower shop now and again, but this project sounds like fun” replied Helen with a bit of excitement in her voice. Why don't we meet at Jenny's Java next Friday for a business lunch—at twelve?” replied Toni. “Okay Toni I will see you there—it's a date—business date!” Both women gave a chuckle and said their goodbyes. Helen watched Toni walk down the street, she loved that midnight black color of Toni's short, but thick hair, it really made her striking green eyes stand out even more. With that Helen turned back to her house to once again join her other guests.

Chapter 4. Helen's 'Golden Date' Dinner Date

It had been three weeks since Rita had set up Helen's profile on Golden Date, she was on her way to her dinner date in Burlington city, at the Jackson's Seafood restaurant. Rita had taken Helen shopping yesterday to get
her a new outfit for her date, which Rita had more fun exploring the clothes shops than Helen. She settled on a light grey dress with tiny yellow flowers, and long sleeves, and a light yellow cardigan. Helen chose a pair of grey suede shoes with a small heal. Rita tried to get Helen to go with a sexier outfit, but Helen was not interested in too much flash. Rita came over and gave her a hand with her hair—fixing it up and doing her make-up for her. Something she rarely wore, but since she was going on a date a bit of makeup seemed appropriate. She had to make it look like she put some effort into getting herself ready for her date. The man she's meeting for dinner is a recently retired fireman. He has been a widower for ten years, he lives alone in Burlington, is 60 years old with two grown and married sons, and five grandchildren. His name is Paul Shartin, he enjoys going for hikes, and loves to travel and see new sites. But now that he is on his own he doesn't do much travelling. He is looking for a partner to share his life with that is also interested in visiting new places in the world.

Helen and Paul had been talking with one another using Skype, giving tours to each other of their homes, and really enjoying talking with one another. Helen began to think how nice it would be to find a person that she could have a close partnership with and that they could enjoy doing some travelling together. She began to think if they would be physically attracted to one another. Helen has always felt that she was bisexual due to her relationship that she had with Erin. Not to mention knowing she has felt sexually attracted to both men and women, but has lived most of her life as a straight woman. When Helen finds herself attracted to a person—she doesn't let the sex of the person stand in her way of being sexually attracted to them, that is secondary with Helen. She feels like she has butterflies in her stomach as she pulls into the city of Burlington, where she might be meeting her soulmate in another hour at the seafood restaurant. Helen headed first to the Marriott Hotel where she had booked a room for the evening, she got herself sorted, left her car there and called a cab to take her to the restaurant to meet up with Paul.

After Helen and Paul enjoyed their seafood dinner, Paul begged Helen to join him for drinks at his house that was only five minutes away by cab. He too had taken a cab to the restaurant, as he planned on drinking. They were having such a good time, she did not want it to end, she wanted to feel the closeness of another person's body against her own. They headed off in a cab to Paul's house to continue their fun there. Sitting on the couch in Paul's living room, he drew Helen in his arms, and said “I have been waiting to do this ever-since I first met you on Golden Date” he started to gently kiss Helen, and then it became more passionate, his hands began to wander across her dress towards her breasts. Helen felt so hot and sexually aroused, she couldn't believe how much she missed being touched and how good this felt to her. She was a woman filled with passion that enjoyed being physically close to another in an intimate fashion. She ran her hands over his arms that felt strong and muscular. They both wanted each other in a sexual way, this was obvious, they were not holding back at this point.

All of a sudden Paul withdrew away from Helen, asking “Why don't we continue this in my hot tub, we can go for a skinny dip, I will get you a robe and you can change in the bedroom. I will go and get the hot tub turned on and get us some champagne to drink while we enjoy the tub. No worries, I have no immediate neighbours, my back deck is very private. It is such a lovely night I would love to spend some time with you in the hot tub. What do you think Helen, are you into doing that?”

“Well to be honest I can't remember the last time I was in one, the skinny dipping part sounds like fun!” replied Helen. Paul rose to show her where the bedroom was and he pulled out a white robe and lay it on the bed for Helen. “Okay I will leave you to get yourself ready, I will meet you in the tub” he said giving her a gentle kiss on the lips as he made his way out of the room. Helen was feeling so excited and having so much fun, thinking of how wonderful she felt, something that was sorely missing from her life—passion and romance! She quickly changed out of her clothes, putting the robe on, covering her completely naked body, she felt so filled with excitement!

As she made her way to the tub Paul was already in the tub sipping on a glass of champagne, butt naked. He held up another glass of champagne offering it to Helen. “Please come and join me Helen, for a glass of champagne in the tub” he replied with a sly grin towards Helen. She let her robe fall landing onto the deck beside her feet. Helen stood naked before Paul, he put out a hand to help her into the hot tub. They began to kiss again this time with deeper passion in their kisses, arms roaming over each other's wet bodies. Then, Paul moved Helen so that she was straddling him, facing him. She mounted him and he began to slowly thrust his manhood into her. They were both moaning and groaning in the middle of the sheer ecstasy of passion—when the sliding door opened and out walked Paul's oldest son, Kevin. Well all hell broke loose as Kevin began to shout at Paul, for cheating on his mother, she was in Arizona visiting her terminally ill sister for a month. He couldn't believe his father had brought some trash home to the family home to have sex with—of course he was referring to Helen. Poor Helen had scrambled out of the tub grabbing the robe, feeling embarrassed, humiliated, angry at Paul for lying to her. She apologized to his son Kevin, trying to explain that his father had told her he was a widower. This was all being said as she quickly went to rush to the room to get her clothes on and get out of this situation as quickly as possible. She ran down the street upset and in tears, she couldn't believe that she had been so stupid and totally trusted Paul. She pulled her phone out and looking up at the street sign at the end of the street she called herself a cab asking them to come as quickly as possible. There was a cab there for her within a few minutes, she was quickly dropped off at her hotel.

Helen was laying on her bed in her hotel room thinking, going on dating websites was not her cup of tea. She realized people could tell you anything and you just have to take them at their word they are being truthful about who and what they are? Helen thought of Paul's poor wife and how her husband had cheated and disrespected her, it was bad enough that he had cheated on her, but to bring the person to the home that he and his wife shared was just so wrong on so many different levels. Helen was so sad that Paul ended up being a loser, she really thought he was a nice guy that she could connect to, boy was she ever wrong on that call! She finally fell asleep thinking that she couldn't wait to get home, and put this ordeal behind her.

She found herself calling Toni, even though it was late—she couldn't help it she just needed to talk to someone—and the person she wanted to talk to was Toni. She talked with Toni apologizing for calling so late—Toni was not bothered, but she was worried to hear Helen so distressed. She told Helen she was on her way over—when she arrived Helen greeted her at the door with a hug while she cried out her agonizing ordeal to Toni. Helen realized that night that she wanted to be close to Toni, she had been attracted to her for a long time. Toni held here in her arms on the couch comforting her. Helen looked at Toni and confessed her feelings of being attracted to her. She explained to Toni her sexual history. She told Toni about her relationship with Erin. She explained that she thought she must be bisexual—but her sexual experiences with men never seemed to truly fulfill her, she felt confused. Toni confessed her feelings were mutual towards Helen, that she too had been attracted to Helen for a long time. She also confessed that there was no blind date she had—she had just wanted to give Helen flowers—so she made up the story of the blind date. Helen led Toni by the hand into her bedroom where they made love filled with tenderness and passion for the first time. Helen felt Toni was whom she was meant to be with, not a blind Golden Date, she knew dating services were not her cup of tea!

Chapter 5. Girl's Trip to Wapanachee Cottage

It was August 11th Toni and Helen had decided to drive up together in Toni's Pickup truck that had lots of storage for their gear that they were bringing to Wapanachee cottage. Toni had packed her bright yellow kayak for the
trip, she planned on doing some cruising and fishing on the lake with it. Val and Rita were driving up in Rita's Lexus. They were all meeting at Helen's house at 9am and leaving in their little convoy from there. Helen was getting herself organized making sure she had all she needed packed and ready to go. Her daughter Forest was back home, she was going to run the shop for the next couple of days until Helen returned from her “girl's trip.” Forest was really glad to see her mum going on this trip and getting away from the house and going on a bit of an adventure. She noticed that Helen had been spending a lot of time with her friend Toni, who Forest really liked. She had a feeling that her mother and Toni were infact lovers. But her mother was not ready to come out of the closet so to speak and tell her, even though in her heart she already knew. Besides the fact that she had come home one day and looked through the front door window to see the two embraced in each other's arms, giving each other light affectionate kisses on the lips. Forest decided not to confront them, but she made sure to make a loud enough entrance to warn them she was home—to save them from the embarrassment they might have felt if she had just walked in on them. Forest would like to tell her mum that she is okay with her mother having an intimate relationship with Toni. She is just so happy to see her mother so happy, and know that when she goes back to college that her mother will not be on her own—she will have Toni to share her life with.
