  Syd’s eyes glimmered with affection. “I used to. I used to want a lot of things, but none of those things ever made me happy. The only thing I want for the rest of my life is to be married to you, and I don’t want to waste another minute waiting for that to happen.”

  Judge Casey happily obliged the request to perform a second set of nuptials, waving off any concerns about license and waiting periods with assurances that nothing should get in the way of true love and he would take care of those silly formalities. An hour later, there were two new happily married couples cutting the cake as their friends cheered them on, celebrating the twists of circumstance that had brought them all together.
