“You will address me as Sergeant, Corporal. I have earned this title the same as you have earned yours.”

  “Yes Sergeant.”

I could feel his displeasure at being corrected and pulled up for his lack of respect. This was going to be a long and boring process, unfortunately, I had two weeks to get them ready and then I would be on the move again, to another drama in another city.

I was glad when the day was over. My feet were killing me, but high heels looked so much better with my leather trousers!

I made my way to my silver Porsche Boxter Convertible and longed to take it for a spin on the country roads, but that would have to wait, I needed to find my accommodation and send my Father an email.

I slid onto the seat and fired her up. The engine purred to life and as I pulled away I noticed Private Adams standing in the shadows watching me leave. I gave a polite smile letting him know that I had seen him and headed to my quarters.

  About the Author

I was born in Coventry in the U.K and moved to Weston-super-Mare when I was a small child. My family dynamics are ever changing. I have 3 children, two still live at home. My daughter will be moving out later this year ready for the start of her second year at University. I have 2 step daughters and I am blessed to have 5 grandchildren. 3 gorgeous girls and 2 special boys.

Reading was a chore when I was younger, but now I am often curled up, surrounded by my 6 cats, with a good paranormal book until the early hours of the morning. I surprise myself with how little sleep I actually need – I drive my husband nuts when I climb into bed and talk to him about the book I am reading, and now he has to listen about my story and the characters that I am creating. He deserves a gold medal for putting up with me.
