The other girls giggled and Callie shot them a death look. They didn’t seem to care. It was becoming obvious that Callie had more bark than bite.

“You don’t know what the hell you’re talking about Lila!” Callie shouted as black tears from her mascara streamed down her face.

“Callie, go clean yourself up and get a drink. I’m tired of babysitting you.”

Callie slinked out of the restroom followed by the other two girls.

“Sorry about that hon. When I saw her tailin after you I knew I better step in.”

“I appreciate that…my name is Natalie,” I said sticking out my hand.

She grasped it and said, “Nice to meet you Natalie, I’m Lila, Bruce’s old lady.”

  “I met Bruce earlier.”

“Yeah, he’s hard to miss,” she said with a laugh. “So you came with Eli?”

“Yes…we went for a ride then he wanted to bring me here.”

“He must like you then. He doesn’t bring women to the club he doesn’t like or if it’s only for a quick fuck. Sorry…I don’t mean to be so forward, but it’s the way I am.”

“No, that’s fine. I’d rather you be honest with me than to live in a fairy tale land.”

“You mean like Callie? The girl’s had a crush on Eli for over a year now. He tried to let her down easy, but she just doesn’t get it. He lets her come to the club only because she doesn’t have any family. But if she doesn’t cool it he’ll ban her ass.”

“Please don’t ban her because of me.”

“Not my call hon. That will be Eli’s, but I won’t tell him what happened in here if that makes you feel better.”

“It does,” I said. I didn’t want to get off on the wrong foot with anyone, even Callie.

Lila gave me a pat and turned to go out the restroom door. “See ya on the other side.”

  ****

The rest of the evening was drama free. I enjoyed my time at the club and even a few of the women, besides Lila, warmed up to me. Callie kept her distance, ignoring me the rest of the night and that was fine by me.

Eli took me home via his Camero since it had turned cold by 2am. I was apprehensive, both if he would ask me out again and how the beast would react once I was home. As we pulled up to the front of my home, Eli turned off the engine.

“How was your night Natalie…I mean really. Did any of the girls hound you?”

“No,” I lied. “Everything was great. I had an awesome time.”

“Good, because I don’t want anyone bugging you. If they do, you tell me okay.”

“I will,” I said hoping that I wouldn’t have any more run ins with Callie.

Before I knew it, he leaned over the console and kissed me on the lips. The moment was electrifying. I felt jolts of desire run from my head to my toes. I opened my mouth wide to allow his searching tongue inside. His hand was on the back of my head, caressing my hair but also preventing me from moving away. I was trapped, but it was exactly where I wanted to be at the same time. I felt his other hand move in between the opening in my jacket and blouse, searching for a breast. He was definitely on the fast course, but did I expect any less from a biker?

When he felt inside my bra to my well-endowed breast, he slowly pulled one side of the bra down. He left my lips and bent over to kiss the top of my exposed titty. I could feel the rush of warm wetness inside my vagina grow. I hadn’t felt like this in so long, I almost wanted to cry, but I held it off. Just enjoy it, I told myself. Just let yourself go. So I did.

His tender kisses on my breasts were tantalizing. I no longer cared what awaited me inside that house. I only cared about the here and now. Eli took one of my breasts and started sucking the nipple. My breathing became shallower and my heart raced. I wanted this more than he knew.

Suddenly he stopped and looked into my eyes. His face was swollen with desire and I now knew what the term “bedroom eyes” meant. However, he moved away from me. My first thought was he’s repulsed by my weight. Of course, I always went there, old habits die hard.

He sat back in his seat and said, “Natalie, I don’t want you to think I’m only here for the sex. With most women that’s true, but you’re not like them. I can talk to you whereas I can’t with them. They’re good for a screw and that’s about it.”

On the one hand, I felt honored by his response, but the nagging devil on my shoulder kept saying, “he’s trying to let you down easy.”

“I feel I can talk to you too,” I said meekly as I closed my shirt and jacket.

Eli turned in his seat and looked directly at me.

“Don’t get the wrong idea Natalie. I think you’re gorgeous and I would take you in a heartbeat if you’d let me. I just…well this is hard for me because I don’t meet girls like you often. I just feel like it would cheapen the time we had together to rush into sex too soon. Does that make sense or am I a moron?”

  I laughed and he relaxed.

“No, that doesn’t make you a moron. It makes you a gentleman.”

He smiled and my heart warmed. I knew he meant what he was saying. Wow, a biker and a gentleman in one package. How did I get so lucky.

“How about I give you a call tomorrow,” he said.

  “I’d love that,” I answered.

He leaned over and gave me a lingering kiss goodbye. I wanted more, but that would suffice. I climbed out of the car and waved as I walked to the front door. He drove off and the lightness I felt only moments before quickly turned to a burning pit in my stomach. Now I had to face the beast. But it wouldn’t be what I expected.

  ****

I opened the door slowly, waiting for my father to lower the boom as soon as I entered. No lamps were on in the living room, but I could see light filtering from the kitchen. I walked over and peeked inside. My father sat at the kitchen table rubbing his swollen eyes. He had been crying.

“Dad…are you okay,” I asked tentatively.

He looked up at me, his eyes red and puffy.

“I thought you were gone for good,” he said with croaky voice.

  “Why would you think that?”

“I just thought you were gone like your mother. And who could blame you.”

This was strange. I’d seen my dad drunk cry before, but this time he hadn’t been drinking. Smoking yes. The ashtray sitting on the kitchen table was full and the kitchen smelled like the club.

“I know I’ve been a lousy father and I was a horrible husband, but I want to do better. I just don’t want to be alone.” He started to sob.

I didn’t know what to do. Should I hug him? I never had before and in my heart, I didn’t want to. One cry session didn’t erase all the hurt he had imparted on me through the years. Instead I patted his shoulder and said, “Don’t cry Dad. I’m not going anywhere,” I lied. That seemed to soothe him and he wiped his eyes and nose with a handkerchief.

“I mean it,” he said. “I’ll try and do better. In fact I’m going to an AA meeting tomorrow night.” Yeah, I’d heard that one before.

“That’s great Dad.” I said reassuringly, knowing it wouldn’t happen. “Why don’t we go to bed, it’s late.”

“Okay,” he said. “Thanks for not leaving me.”

“It’ll be okay,” I said as I turned to go to my room. He offered a half smile, something I hadn’t seen in years.

I went to my room and shut the door. Wow, I still couldn’t believe it. I thought at the very least I’d get a tongue-lashing. Maybe things were turning around and going my way. Of course, this was only the calm before the storm.

  ****

The next few weeks were magical. I couldn’t believe how my life had turned around so quickly. Meeting Eli had changed my life in so many ways. My Dad was actually going to AA meetings and hadn’t taken a drink, as far as I knew, since the night I found him in the kitchen. He was getting mechanic jobs and we were getting along. I walked on eggshells however, not wanting to awaken a sleeping bear. But for now, he seemed like a different man.

  El
i and I seen each other every day. Our make out sessions were getting hotter and I knew something special was about to occur. One day he picked me up on his motorcycle and said it would be a special day. He brought me to a hotel in Beckley. It was a high-end establishment complete with a doorman. I could tell Eli had been here before. He already had the key and we took the elevator to the room. When he opened the door, I thought I was in a dream.

Everywhere I looked flowers adorned the room. It looked like a tropical paradise with red and yellow roses, pink carnations, white lilies, and purple orchids. On the floor around the bed and on the bed itself, was the sprinkling of red and white flower petals. The room’s lighting was dim and music played softly in the background. I couldn’t believe this was happening to me.

I was so entranced that I was startled when I heard Eli close the door.

“So…you like?” He asked, grinning from ear to ear.

“I like…a lot. Did you do this yourself?”

“I had a little help.” My guess was Lila. We had a mutual affection for one another that had grown since we met.

“Would you like a glass of champagne? I have some on ice,” Eli said.

“Maybe later,” I said, and with that, I pulled him into a kiss.

Suddenly we were tearing each other’s clothes off. We landed on the bed, scattering the rose petals. His hands roamed my body and I felt more aroused than I ever had before. I could feel wetness between my legs as my vagina ached to feel the warmth and fullness of his member in my body. He held me in his arms and suckled one breast while his other hand reached down to stroke my mound. I opened my legs, welcoming his touch. As he fondled my private area, my body responded. My hips grinded to the tune of his touch. I stuck my breasts out so he could caress them with his lips. Moans escaped my lips as I allowed him to ravish my body. I was no longer self-conscious about my weight. Eli made me feel like I was the most beautiful woman in the world.

I felt down along his thigh with my hand until I found his cock. It was engorged and throbbing. I gently stroked it and listened as he moaned with satisfaction. I wanted to feel him inside me, for us to be like one. I knew my climax was creeping ever closer. Despite being plump, I felt as light as air. Only the touch of Eli’s hands and lips could make me feel this way. My body was giving over to an ever-growing climax. I wanted it to wait until I could feel him inside of me, but there was no way to stop it. He continued to suck my nipple, stroke my wetness, and then poke two fingers into my hole. Back and forth his fingers went, creating a crescendo in my body. Then, an explosion occurred that rippled out from my pussy down to my toes and up through my chest. I felt my body give way to slight convulsions and my breathing became rapid. As the orgasm receded, my body relaxed.

I felt Eli climb on top of me and I opened my legs so he would have full access. He pushed his member into my waiting hole. He then grabbed my legs and I wrapped them around his waist. He pounded his rod into me, and I could feel him stiffen as he was reaching his own orgasm. I too was feeling another climax coming on. Not as mind numbing as the first, but ridiculously ticklish and fun all the same. We came at the same time as I felt his warm cream explode into my body. He let out a groan and then collapsed on top of me. We lay like that for at least a few minutes until he rolled off me then held me in his arms.

“I love you Natalie,” Eli said.

My heart leaped. Had I heard him right? The little devil inside my head wanted me to believe I misheard. I turned my head and looked up at him.

“You don’t have to say that if you don’t mean it.”

“I don’t say anything I don’t mean. I think you know that about me by now.”

  Take that little devil!

  “I love you too Eli”

We made love several more times that night in between drinking champagne and ordering chocolate covered strawberries and a pizza (I know an odd combination) from room service. It was a magical night and one I would always remember. But as usual, the universe must equal out the good with the bad. Hadn’t I endured enough of the bad? I guess the universe disagreed and that little devil would be howling with glee.

  ****

The next morning Eli and I had breakfast at the fancy restaurant in the hotel. He told me to order whatever I wanted and since I had never had eggs Benedict I decided now was the time. The food was delicious and the coffee strong yet smooth. We lingered over our breakfast, talking about how we would proceed from here.

“I want you to move in with me Nat,” Eli said. “That way we can be together and I’ll know you’re safe.”

I had told him how my father would sometimes rant and yell, but never about the abuse. I didn’t tell anyone about that. I thought of the night my father cried, frightened that I might leave him, and how well he’d been doing these last few weeks. But it was my time now.

For so long I thought about everyone’s needs but mine. I had endured years of verbal and even physical abuse. Although the physical abuse was only a few times, it had been brutal and I would never forget it. My father had a long road ahead of him and one he’d have to take alone. While I knew he was turning a corner, the years of hell he had bestowed on my mother and I would take years of undoing. Frankly, I didn’t think he had it in him. Unfortunately, I would be right.

“I would love to move in with you,” I said with a smile.

Eli leaned over and kissed me softly on the lips. “And you’re quitting that waitress job too. As soon as the new semester starts you can begin classes, if that’s still what you want to do.”

“Eli, I don’t have the money for classes.”

“Don’t worry about it. I’m taking care of you now.”

“I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve you.”

“Just being you. Wow, that sounds so sappy,” he said with a laugh. “But it’s true…I guess you bring out the sap in me.”

  “Ha, not a bad thing.”

“Just don’t tell my club. I have a reputation to maintain you know.”

“They won’t hear it from me.”

We left the restaurant and headed for my home. When we arrived, Eli said,

“How about I pick you up in a few hours. Will that be time enough to pack?”

“Yes, it should be. I also need to talk to my dad.”

“You think he’ll be okay with this? I know you said he has a temper.”

“He won’t like it but he’s been doing better.”

Eli reached over and opened the glove compartment. Sitting there was a bright shiny gun. Since I didn’t know about guns at the time, I didn’t realize it was a .32 handgun.

“Take this with you,” Eli said. “Just to be safe.”

“Oh, I don’t even know how to operate a gun Eli. Besides, I wouldn’t pull a gun on my dad.”

I was shocked. Not so much that he had a gun. I had seen the other club members packing and I assumed Eli did too. I mean it was a motorcycle gang, errr club. I was shocked that he wanted me to take it.

“It’s just to scare him. Only if you need to…in case he gets carried away.”

“No, I just don’t feel comfortable with it. Especially since, I don’t know how to handle one. I’d probably shoot myself.” Which was true.

“Okay,” he said while closing the glove compartment. “You know I’m only thinking of your safety.”

“I know and I love you for it. But I’ll be fine. I’ll see you in a few hours.”

We kissed and I got out of his car. Oh how different I would look when he saw me again.

  ****

I went into my room and got the suitcase out of my closet. I filled it with my clothes. Not all of them would fit so I got some trash bags and filled them as well. I didn’t want to come back so it was my only choice. I was filling my toiletry bag when I heard my father drive up. That old sinking feeling invaded my being. I knew this would not go well. I looked at my watch. An hour and 45 minutes had passed. Eli would be here in 15 minutes to pick me up. I placed my suitcase and the two trash b
ags filled with my stuff out of the way. I didn’t want my dad to see them before I had a chance to tell him the news.

I heard the door creak as he entered.

  “Nat, are you home?”

“Yes, I’m right here,” I said as I walked into the kitchen. On the table sat a case of beer.

He looked haggard and his eyes were bloodshot. I knew that look all too well. He’d already been drinking. He sat down hard in one of the kitchen chairs.

“I don’t want you to start on me about the drinking. I’ve had a fucked up day and I needed a drink.”

I didn’t say a word. After 30 awkward seconds had passed he said, “So I suppose you’re going to judge me now.”

“No,” I said, turning to walk back to my bedroom. “I really don’t care anymore.”

I heard the crash of the chair as he jumped up from the kitchen table.

“Don’t you walk away from me girl!”

Three weeks sober and he has one bad day and that’s it, he throws it right down the toilet. I was done with his sorry ass. He drove my mother away and now I had the chance to get away too. Instead of talking him down as I usually do, and of course, what he expected me to do as well, I turned around and faced him.

“I’m leaving dad. I’ve packed my bags and I’m out of here. You can do whatever you want, drink yourself to death for all I care. But I’m gone.”

I saw his fist coming but wasn’t quick enough to get out of the way. I moved my head just enough so his fist missed my nose but got my eye. I stumbled backward and fell next to my bed. I tried to get up, holding onto the edge of my bed when I felt a backhand to the side of my face. I heard him yelling, and although it sounded muffled, (I found out later he ruptured my eardrum), I could make out, “You’re not leaving here bitch! The only way you’ll leave here is in a body bag!”
