She didn’t remember moving, but when she blinked, she was that much closer to Cam. All she had to do was reach out and she’d be touching him. She glanced up at him from beneath her lowered lashes, and when she saw how tense he was she almost stepped back. That was until she saw the fiery heat in his brown eyes. He was looking at her as if she hung the moon and stars all by herself, as is she was the most precious, sexist woman alive. Seeing that hungry expression in his eyes gave her the courage to take the next step.
She lifted her hand toward his hard cock and stroked the pad of her finger down the length of his erection. He gasped and she gazed up at him again. He had his head thrown back and his hands locked behind his head. Was he scared he’d hurt her? Maybe she was hurting him. The muscles in his face were tight as if he could be in pain, but then she remembered he’d said it was a good hurt when he was in this state. Did the touch of her finger feel good to him? There was only one way to find out.
Enya drew in a deep fortifying breath and then she wrapped her left hand around his hard dick. He groaned and then looked down at her. His biceps flexed and bulged as if he was restraining himself from touching her and while she wanted that more than anything, she wasn’t ready to take things that far just yet. It had been bad enough to have his hands on her while he’d been washing her, but she wasn’t sure she could deal with him touching her for another reason. She felt as if she would snap and she wasn’t sure if that was good or bad.
His cock was hot and hard, and yet so velvety soft. He was so thick her finger and thumb didn’t even meet, but she quickly pushed any thought of his size away. She didn’t want to think about actual penetration right now.
Enya wasn’t sure where this confidence or courage was coming from, but she couldn’t ignore the deep-seated yearning to explore more. She had no idea what she was doing but decided to go with her instincts. She firmed her grip and moved her hand up toward the head of his cock and back toward the base again.
“That feels amazing, sweetheart,” Cam panted. “I love having you touch me, having your hand wrapped around my cock.”
Moisture wept from her pussy, and her clit pulsed harder and faster. She shifted on her feet and squeezed her thighs together, trying to get a little relief, but it didn’t help. Each time she moved her hand she pumped a little faster, and when her skin brushed against a spot under the crown of his cock, he gasped and groaned.
“Sweetheart, you have to stop,” Cam rasped out.
“Why? Am I hurting you?”
“No, but I’m about to lose control.”
“What?” She frowned up at him.
He met her gaze through narrowed eyes. “If you keep doing that, sweetheart, I’m going to come.”
“Oh!” She lowered her eyes back to his cock and saw a clear drop of fluid in the slit on the tip of his cock. She licked her lips and watched with fascination as the drop bubbled out and down the side of the head. All the while she kept moving her hand up and down his shaft.
“Enya, I’m gonna…ahh!” Cam shouted as his cock grew hotter and expanded in her hand, just before cum shot from the tip of his dick. She squeezed and stroked as more of his juices spumed forth three more times before he grasped her wrist and tugged her hand from his cock. “That was…you’re so fucking amazing, sweetheart.”
Cam pulled her into his arms and held her tight. Enya smiled with new-found carnal knowledge and confidence. She’d enjoyed pleasuring Camden, and she knew she had by the sounds he’d made. Maybe sex wasn’t as bad as she thought it was. Maybe all she’d needed was to meet the right man, or men, to wake up her latent sexual drive.
Enya reluctantly released Cam when he drew back and when he leaned down toward her, she went up on tiptoes to meet him in the middle. He kissed her passionately, until her knees were shaking and she was in danger of falling to the floor. When he slowed the kiss and finally released her lips, she was disappointed, but she needed to get dressed if she wanted to be ready when the deputies arrived.
“Let me dry you off and help you get some clothes on, sweetheart. From the smell of things, breakfast is ready.” Cam got another towel from the cupboard under the sink and after he wrapped it around his waist, he wet a wash cloth and cleaned her hand and belly of his juices. She thought about getting another shower, but after Cam had cleaned her up, she didn’t feel sticky.
Enya nodded in response to his statement and within five minutes, she was dressed and her hair was brushed. All she needed to do was brush her teeth. “I’m going to get some clothes, sweetheart. Come out when you’ve finished, okay?”
“Okay.”
Enya felt happy for the first time in a long while. Lucy had made her feel content and although she’d really liked her, Enya had been too closed off to feel anything other than gratitude to her for taking her into her house and teaching her how to cook. She felt guilty about that but she couldn’t change what was in the past. However, she could change how she dealt with other people and maybe she would even begin to dream and start making plans for her future other than her career.

Perry stumbled from the living room to the kitchen of his small one-bedroom apartment. Things were getting tight and he barely had enough money to pay the next week’s rent, let alone to go out and buy food. He knew he shouldn’t have spent so much money on booze yesterday afternoon, but he’d been on a high and hadn’t stopped to think things over.
It didn’t matter that he was so drunk he could barely walk, the anger still wouldn’t leave him alone. He’d been so sure that he was going to make one of those diner-owning bitches pay for his current predicament, but the slut had called the cops. He’d barely had time to run and he’d had to hide behind a hedge a few houses down from the slut’s place.
While it had been fun to scare and terrorize her, it hadn’t been enough. Originally, he’d planned to go after the deaf bitch, but she was always surrounded by the men she was fucking. He’d shifted his sights to the white-haired woman but then she’d hooked up with three deputies. The only bitch left was the golden blonde-haired woman.
After the fiasco that had happened at the diner he’d been canned and although he’d tried to find another job in town, no one would hire him. He had a feeling the owners of the security company had a hand in his lack of employment, and while he’d thought about going after them, their woman and their kids, he wasn’t that stupid. He could tell by the way the security guys carried themselves that they had military training of some sort.
It was their fault he couldn’t get any work locally. If it wasn’t for the fact he’d decided to search for work out of town, Perry might have ended up living out of his truck.
For a moment he’d thought about packing up and moving away, but that would be conceding defeat. Someone had to pay for what his life had become and there was only one person he’d have the opportunity to kidnap. If he couldn’t get to the person he held responsible for his job loss, then her friend would have to do. If he hurt the deaf cunt’s friend and business partner, she would have to live with the remorse of knowing it was really her fault.
Perry had a feeling the other bitches would never forgive themselves once they realized why he’d targeted the blue-eyed slut. They would have to live with that guilt for the rest of their lives. Maybe having that hanging over their heads would be enough to destroy their happiness just like they’d destroyed his.
He just hadn’t worked out how he was going to get his hands on the bitch, though, but he was determined to make somebody pay and he wasn’t going to give up until he had his revenge.
Chapter Eight
Axel knew as soon as he saw Cam’s grin that something had happened between him and Enya. However, he wasn’t sure he wanted to hear about it right now, since the deputy sheriffs would be arriving soon. He glanced over at Phoenix and saw that he was eying Cam and his brow was quirked.
“Things are looking up,” Cam said.
“What did you do?” Phoenix frowned.
Cam shook
his head. “I didn’t do anything. I was the perfect gentleman.”
“You’ve never been a gentleman.” Axel smirked.
“Hey, I have so.” Cam placed a hand on his chest as if he was mortally wounded. “I’m always a gentleman when I’m treating patients.”
“That’s different,” Phoenix said. “We’re all like that when we’re working.”
“Stop screwing around, Cam,” Axel ordered. He was too curious and needed to know what was going on.
“She gave me a hand job.”
“She did?” Phoenix’s eyes were wide with surprise and then he smiled. “Are you for real? Did you coerce her in any way?”
“Not at all. Everything that happened was Enya’s choice.” Cam glanced toward the kitchen entrance. “She’ll be here any second. Let me help you get the breakfast on the table.”
Axel nodded and quickly finished plating all the food. He and Phoenix had gone a little overboard, but this was their first meal with their woman and they hadn’t been sure what she’d like to eat. They’d cooked up a stack of bacon, scrambled eggs with tasty cheese melted through and there was toast as well as pancakes and syrup. Being doctors they were conscious of not having too much cholesterol, but this was a special occasion and they wanted to make Enya feel at home in their house.
Axel, Phoenix, and Cam had just set everything out when Enya entered the room. Axel glanced her way and almost chuckled when he saw that her eyes were closed and she was inhaling the delicious food aromas. When she moaned his cock twitched and began to harden but he ignored his body’s response to her unconscious sexiness and walked toward her. He grinned when he heard her belly grumble and took her hand in his when she opened her eyes again.
“Come on and eat, baby. I can hear how hungry you are.”
Enya gazed up at him shyly as she nodded and he guided her to the dining table on the other side of the room. Axel pulled her chair out and then pushed it back in as she sat. He was glad that Cam had left the seat beside her for him to sit in, because he and Phoenix needed to spend more time with her.
Axel watched her from the corner of his eye as she gazed wide-eyed at all the food. She glanced up at him and asked, “Are the deputies coming for breakfast, too?”
“No, baby,” Phoenix answered as he grabbed her empty plate and began to load it with food. “It’s just the four of us.”
“Are you sure you cooked enough breakfast?” Enya asked, deadpan. “I don’t think there’s going to be enough.”
Axel chuckled and shook his head. He loved that she was comfortable enough with them to let her sarcastic humor out.
“I don’t know if we do, sweetheart.” Cam said with a grin. “What do you think?”
“I think there’s enough food to feed another four people.”
“You might be right, baby, but we burn a lot of calories.” Phoenix smiled as he flexed a bicep. “I don’t think there’ll be much left if any by the time we’re done eating.”
“I didn’t think doctors would eat bacon and eggs.”
“Why not?” Axel asked. “We’re human just like anyone else.”
“But—”
“Moderation is the key to anything, Enya. It doesn’t hurt to have a big calorie intake every now and then.” Axel nudged her arm and pointed at the plate in front of her. “Eat up, honey.”
The first bite she took had him shifting in his seat. Enya moaned and hummed as she chewed the pancake and syrup she had in her mouth. Axel watched her from his periphery and when he saw her lush lips moving, his mind went straight to the gutter. It didn’t seem to matter that she was graceful and courteous as she chewed with her mouth closed. He couldn’t seem to stop the image of Enya on her knees while he stood before her naked. He almost groaned as his visceral fantasy took a deeper hold as he envisioned her licking around the head of his cock before she sucked him deep into that sexy, carnal mouth.
If Cam hadn’t cleared his throat and brought him back to the present, Axel might have done something to jeopardize their chances with her. He surreptitiously adjusted the fit of his tight jeans over his hard cock and began to eat, hoping the mundane action would help get his carnal hunger under control.
“Are you feeling better this morning, baby?” Phoenix asked.
Enya nodded since she was still chewing but answered when she was finished. “Yes.”
Axel wasn’t too sure that she was telling the truth. Although she had a little color in her cheeks, she was still quite pale and from the way her brow was creased between her eyes, she was in pain. “Look at me, honey.”
He stared into her beautiful blue eyes when she met his gaze. “Tell me what number on the pain scale your hand is.”
“Four or five, maybe,” Enya answered.
“When you’ve finished eating, you can have some ibuprofen,” Phoenix said.
“I don’t like taking drugs.” Enya rested her fork on the edge of her plate.
Axel shifted his seat closer to her and slung an arm around her shoulders. “Don’t think of the painkillers as drugs, honey. Try and think of them as medicine, which is exactly what they are. I, we understand your hesitancy, but sometimes you need to bite the bullet and do what you need to, to get through the day. We hate seeing you, or anyone else, hurting, Enya.”
When she nodded and sighed, he leaned back in his seat and exhaled quietly with relief. He was glad they hadn’t had to go through the same argument of the previous night. He didn’t like forcing her to do something she didn’t want to, but when it came to her health, he wasn’t going to stand back and watch her while she was in pain. “Thank you, honey. I know how hard it must be to concede to us on something like this, but we know what we’re doing and what we’re talking about.”
“Yeah, I know.” Enya ate the rest of her breakfast in silence and from the frown on her face Axel had a feeling she was lost deep in thought. He just hoped that she wasn’t about to push him and his friends away again, because he wasn’t sure he’d be able to watch her from afar once more.
He, Phoenix, and Cam had just finished cleaning up when someone knocked on the front door.
“I’ll get it,” Phoenix said before he rushed out.
“Do you want more coffee, sweetheart?” Cam asked when he came over with the coffee pot.
“Please.”
“I hope you have enough for us,” Wilder said as he and Cree entered the kitchen with Cam on their heels.
Axel nodded to the two deputies once they sat across from him and Enya. When everyone had coffee and were seated again, Wilder met Enya’s gaze.
“Violet said to tell you that you are more than welcome to come and stay with us. We have plenty of room and will still have our privacy.”
“Thank you.”
Axel frowned at Wilder and Cree. Although he knew the two men could see his frustration, neither of them met his gaze directly. He just hoped that Enya didn’t take them up on their offer.
“Okay,” Cree said, drawing everyone’s attention. “We couldn’t find any file on the prints we found at your place, but that doesn’t mean much. For all we know, they could have been from previous tenants or the owners.”
“Do you have any idea who would want to hurt you?” Wilder asked.
“I can’t think of anyone.” Enya rubbed a hand over her face.
“We don’t think it’s a good idea for you to be alone,” Cree said.
Axel wanted to pick Enya up from her seat and hold her in his arms when he saw how tense she was, but she’d also shifted a little away from him and he was worried that if he made a move, he and his friends would lose her forever. So he crossed his arms over his chest and clenched his hands into fists so he wouldn’t reach for her.
“I have your statement typed up. You need to read over it so you can make sure everything’s correct and sign it.” Cree lifted the paper from the table and passed it over to her.
Enya quickly read the statement and then met his gaze. “Do you have a pen?”
“Yeah,” Ax
el answered as he stood and then hurried into the kitchen. While he was there he got the box of ibuprofen from the cupboard above the fridge and a glass of water. When he was back in his seat he put the pen on top of the sheet of paper which was on the table in front of Enya and he put the packet of pills and glass to the side. He wasn’t surprised when she ignored the medicine and picked up the pen. After signing the statement, she handed the paper back to Cree.
Wilder and Cree rose.
“Violet said not to worry about the baking until you’ve recovered,” Wilder said.
“Oh, but—”
Cree cut her off. “Delta’s been told what happened and she said you’re to take the next week off with paid sick leave.”
“I can still work.” Enya frowned.
“How?” Cam snapped out his question. “You have to keep those stitches covered, dry and clean. You can’t do that while working with food.”
“Haven’t you ever heard of gloves?” Enya snarled back as she crossed her arms over her chest. “Delta and Vi rely on my baking to sell throughout the day. I’d be letting them down if I don’t do my job.”
“Violet and Delta wouldn’t think that you were letting them down, Enya,” Cree stated. “She and Delta know you need time off to recover.”
“We’ll see,” she replied stubbornly. “Thanks for coming to see me.”
“You’re welcome, Enya.” Wilder smiled at her.
“Don’t go doing too much or you might end up busting your stitches open,” Cree ordered.
“Whatever,” Enya muttered as Cam walked the deputies out.
“You need to listen to them and us, honey,” Axel said. “If you’re not careful you could end up with an infection, which will set you back. You want to heal as quickly as possible, don’t you?”
“Of course,” she answered.
“Then you need to take care of yourself.” Phoenix pointed at her. “We’re doctors, baby. We know what we’re talking about.”
