  “It’s perfect,” I whisper with tears filling my eyes. This amazing man knows me so well. He has a piece of my heart I will never be able to get back, and this makes me happy. I will always be his.

  “Just like you,” he says.

  I lift my hair and he gently places it around my neck. Hand in hand we join our family and friends to celebrate the rest of our lives.

  Michela Homer lives in the beautiful country of New Zealand with her very understanding husband, two children, two cats, and a chocolate Labrador.

  Between obsessively reading, she loves to write stories based on rich emotionally driven characters. She self-published her first book, Treading Water in June 2013 and discovered that people actually enjoyed her work, which further fueled her obsession to write.
