Interviewer: Do you wish you could have found another way maybe? A way that didn’t hurt so much?
Renee: That would have been nice….! But seriously, I don’t think sending Stefan an ‘I love You’ card was going to make any difference. I had to seize the one opportunity I had where he wasn’t himself; where he wasn’t in full control of his feelings and his actions. I knew that it was my only way of really getting through to him. In fact, I guess it was all my doing. I mean I deliberately made him angry by defying him. I just had to hope his feelings for me would show through the anger… but I’m glad it happened after just a few lashes of the whip, and not a few hours! My bottom really was sore for days after that session.
Interviewer: Throughout ‘Her Master’s Kiss’, Renee, you certainly showed on many occasions you have a lot of will and determination. Every time Stefan put an obstacle in your way, and every time you were knocked down, you managed to get back up and maintain your desire. Did that surprise you, looking back on the events in the story?
Renee: Not at the time. At the time I was so completely immersed in my situation. I really was lost. I felt I had nothing in my life to cling to apart from Stefan and our training sessions. It’s not in my nature to be so strong-willed. I don’t know… I guess I just sensed how terribly important this was. I knew somehow it was all worth fighting for.
Interviewer: Okay, so here we are a few weeks down the track. How has the relationship between you both changed?
Renee: Well, I think we’re going fine. I have to say that living with Stefan as his submissive isn’t anywhere near as daunting as I thought it might have been. He’s strict, he’s fair… but he’s also loving in the way he treats me.
Interviewer: Stefan? Is that true? Are you ‘loving’?
Stefan: I wouldn’t exactly say that! Let’s just say that I spent a long time being a master, but a lot of that was a self-defense mechanism; I did it to protect myself. I know that now. So in my relationship with Renee, we still have a master-submissive understanding, but I also see that slowly evolving. I would like to think that as time goes on, our relationship may be less about BDSM, and more about simply two people who care about each other.
Interviewer: And the future? I understand Vivien Sparx has plans to write a sequel to your story. What can you tell everyone about that?
Renee: We do believe there is a sequel being planned. It’s not something we’ve thought about too much at this stage, but I do believe there is a lot more of our story to come.
Interviewer: And the title of the next story? Has anything been said about that?
Stefan: Look, Vivien Sparx has a reputation for writing great stories with a lot of imagination. But while she might be good with words and descriptions, she’s not highly imaginative when it comes to her story titles. If I had to guess, I’d say the next story will be called ‘Her Master’s Kiss 2’
