SEAL Cowboy

I chuckled at her insanity. She truly was a nut job.

“Why was the court date pushed back, Jill? You need time to find another official to bribe?” I smirked.

“C’mon,” Eliza grabbed her sister by the arms and worked on guiding her to the car.

Jill’s arms swung loose from her sister and towards my face. I had to back up to miss getting knocked in the jaw.

“I’ve never hit a woman before, but keep it up, and that might change,” I challenged.

Jill spit at my feet as if her saliva could match the fluids already on my boots. I chuckled again, sending her into a wild rage as Eliza pushed her into the car.

“Pack your bags, James Laurie,” Jill roared from the window as the car sped away.

My hands clenched into fists, and my urge to hit something grew strong. I was hot, sweaty, smelled of everything bad, and the last thing I needed was her mouth running with threats.

“Jasper’s?” Pedro asked, his eyes wide and curious.

I nodded, not sure how much he’d heard.

“I’m gonna take off for a while. You care to finish up without me?” I asked the old man.

He shook his head, reached up and patted my back for comfort, and with that, I headed inside for a clean shirt, no time for a shower.

I hosed off my boots before climbing into my truck and waved to Pedro and Kyle as I sped down the lane to the main road.

I wasn’t sure where I was going as I headed into town. A part of me wanted to head to Evelyn, to wrap my arms around her and have her tell me it would all be okay. After a couple whiffs of the odor that still clung to my skin, I decided against it.

My stomach growled to remind me I hadn’t had breakfast, so I pulled into the local pub for a quick beer and a greasy burger.

I found a seat at the end of the bar, away from anyone who may be offended by my smell, not that the crowd inside didn’t carry the same farm smell.

The bartender, a cute little blonde leaned in, unconcerned by my odor, and gave me a warm smile. Her breasts were pushing out of her top, large and full. Her smooth skin was plump and filled with all the signs of youth.

“What can I get ya?” she asked.

“Bring me the biggest burger and the biggest beer you have, not in that order,” I responded.

“Everything on it?” she jotted on a notepad.

  “Yes ma’am,” I replied.

With a wink, she was off, pushing the paper she wrote on to a greasy man in the back with long gray hair.

I watched her as she poured my beer, her shape as perfect as an hourglass. Her eyes narrowed on mine as she turned to bring me the beer, catching me admiring her backside.

“Anything else?” she asked with a sultry and flirtatious tone.

“No thanks,” I smiled warmly, watching disappointment creep onto her face.

I chuckled to myself as she walked away. Normally, I would have flirted back, maybe even tried to get her to come home with me. Now, all I could think about was Evelyn, even while admiring another woman, she was in my mind.

The way the woman’s curves simulated Evelyn’s, the way her small baby hairs curled at the nape of her neck with her hair up.

I was falling for a woman that wouldn’t have anything to do with me, at least not consistently. I knew she had a reputation to uphold, but I was starting to have hurt feelings by her hot and cold routine.

The first beer went down as smoothly as the second, and by the third, my burger arrived. I was already feeling tipsy, and food was no longer a priority. I took a few bites, pushed it away, and ordered another beer.

“You didn’t like it?” the bartender asked, picking up my plate from the bar.

“It was great, but I just don’t feel hungry anymore,” I replied.

“Maybe you just need to find something more appetizing to eat,” the bartender smirked.

“What’s your name?” I asked, leaning in towards her.

  “Sherry,” she giggled.

“Sherry, if I wasn’t so intrigued by another woman, I’d certainly have taken you up on that offer,” I smiled politely.

“Lucky girl,” she pouted and took my plate away.

I finished my beer, watching a couple old coots play pool and argue over a shot not called correctly.

“My shift is over, so last chance to change your mind,” Sherry leaned across the bar and stole my attention.

My eyes lingered on her breasts. Man, I bet those babies bounce.

Tightness in my jeans made me shift on my stool and brought a giggle to Sherry’s lips. She appeared to enjoy teasing me.

“I might kick myself later, but I’m sorry,” I sighed.

I cashed out my tab with her, leaving her a nice tip to make up for letting her down.

When the next bartender took over, I was relieved to see a tall bald man delivering me a fresh beer.

My phone vibrated across the oak bar, lighting up and flashing as Evelyn’s name appeared on the screen. Fuck. I’m half-drunk.

  “Hey, sexy,” I answered.

“I’m sorry it took so long to call you back,” she apologized.

“Oh hell, I’d wait forever for you,” I cooed.

“I didn’t find anything out yet, but I should hear something by tomorrow morning,” she explained.

“Great. Jill and Eliza paid me a visit today,” I blurted.

I continued to tell her how Jill was acting, and how Eliza tried to calm her, but I was certain she was now on John and Jill’s side of the battle. My words slurred a few times, even though I worked hard to keep my composure.

“So, is that why you’re drinking?” she questioned.

  “Maybe,” I chuckled.

“What else would it be? Did something else happen today?” she asked.

“I birthed a calf on my own,” I announced a little too loudly.

“That’s amazing. You ever done that before?” she asked.

“Not without old man Jasper,” I remembered.

She let out a sign on the phone. It was sweet and warm.

“Maybe I’m drinking because the woman I want won’t have me,” I teased.

  “Really?” she sneered playfully.

“Yeah, it’s true. I had a little young one trying to get me to go home with her earlier, but I blew her off,” I laughed.

“Why did you do that?” Evelyn asked.

  “Hmmm,” I hummed.

She giggled. Oh man, I could taste those sweet lips.

“Why don’t you come and stay with me tonight?” I propositioned.

“You know I can’t do that,” she said quickly.

“But I miss you so bad,” I moaned.

“How are you getting home?” she asked.

“I’m not going home without you,” I insisted.

“Is there someone there that can drive you?” she questioned.

“I’m not ready to leave yet,” I insisted. “Don’t you miss my tongue?” I whispered so no one could hear. “Sliding between your legs, tasting your sweet juices?”

I heard another sigh, this one deeper and less sweet.

“I need you so bad it hurts,” I groaned.

I could hear her breathing on the other end of the phone, but she didn’t speak.

“I know you need me too. Just let me taste you. We don’t have to do anything else,” I pleaded.

  She giggled.

“Yeah, like we have any control around one another,” she scoffed.

“I love the way I lose control around you, the way my mind turns off to the world when you’re around,” I said softly.

I knew the alcohol was making me say things I would’ve preferred to keep to myself, but I couldn’t stop myself.

“I really like you, Evelyn,” I added.

“I really like you too, James,” her voice was so sweet.

“Then talk dirty to me,” I growled.

  “No,” she gasped.

  “Why not?” I pushed.

“You’re at a bar,” she gigg
led.

“So, I’ll go home and call you back,” I offered.

“No. Stay there. I’m coming to get you, but just to take you home,” she instructed.

I loved the forcefulness in her voice. It gave me chills to hear her take control.

“Okay. I’ll stay right here,” I assured her.

“Give me thirty minutes,” she replied, and then hung up.

I hated the thought of leaving my truck. I knew a couple cups of coffee, and I’d be fine to drive home, but Evelyn was worried about me, and she was coming to rescue me, so I would sit on this barstool and wait for her.

  Chapter Eighteen

  Evelyn

I gathered my briefcase and left the office, stressed, aroused, and a little angry. If that bastard baited me into coming there, taking him home, so help me.

The drive into the small town of Hereford wasn’t long, but I was heavy on the gas pedal to get there. Even though I knew he wouldn’t, the thought of him leaving before I arrived scared the hell out of me.

He sounded pretty buzzed on the phone, and he had gone on about the hot bartender that wanted to take him home. Oh God. I pushed harder on the gas pedal, blazing through a stop sign before whipping into the parking lot of the pub.

His truck was still there. It had probably been there for hours.

I started to call him, to tell him to come outside. I pushed my phone back into my purse and stepped out of my car, staring at the front door of the bar.

What if he was talking to another woman, someone younger, someone prettier? If he was, I wanted to catch him in the act so I could stop yearning for him, and finally stop fantasizing about there being a hope for us.

Music blared from an old jukebox as I pulled open the door. People chattered throughout the place, and the bar was full of people looking for a drink after a hard day’s work.

I scanned the place for James, finding him at the end of the bar. There was a cute blonde sitting next to him, but it was hard to tell if they were talking. I walked over slowly, placed my hand on his shoulder, and felt a sigh of relief once I realized the blonde was talking to the man on her other side.

James turned towards me; his eyes lit up like the sky on a sunny day.

  “You did come,” he smiled.

“Of course. You aren’t driving like that,” I insisted.

“Have a drink,” he tugged at my arm, pulling me to the empty seat beside him.

“I really need to get you home and then head to bed,” I sighed, taking the seat anyway.

“I like the sound of that,” he undressed me with his eyes.

  “My bed,” I scowled.

  “We’ll discuss that,” he smirked.

My panties were already sticking to my warm flesh, my pussy swelling against the silk material. Why does he have this effect on me?

A large bald man leaned across the bar and smiled in my direction.

“What will ya have?” he asked.

“I-uh, I don…” is all that managed to come out before James interrupted.

“She’ll have a tall draft, and one of those greasy burgers,” he ordered.

My stomach grumbled at the thought of a burger. I’d skipped lunch trying to work on the court date situation, and I did need a beer.

  “And a coffee,” I added.

  James smirked in my direction.

He didn’t seem as drunk as I previously assumed him to be, but he was obviously not in any shape to drive.

The bartender delivered my beer with a smile. I pulled it to my lips, looking around the bar at all the women, wondering which one had tried to take James home.

“I’m glad you came,” James said softly.

His eyes were on me as I turned back towards him, so blue, so dreamy. Damn, why does he have to be so freaking handsome?

I smiled but didn’t respond. I wasn’t sure I was happy that I’d come yet or not. I couldn’t imagine anyone in the place knowing who I was or putting together that I was James’s lawyer. At least it was comfortable and private.

My knees smacked against James’s as I spun in my seat. I started to apologize, but found myself frozen in the lock of his eyes.

“You seem nervous,” James pointed out.

  “I’m not,” I lied.

He sipped on his coffee as he stared me down.

“Yeah, I think you are,” he smiled.

My cheeks blushed with heat as I pulled my eyes from him. I sipped on my beer while trying not to picture him naked.

“So, where’s your girlfriend?” I asked, scanning the room once again.

There was a skinny brunette in the corner with large breasts and bright red lipstick, and a plump blonde playing pool with a skirt so short you could see her ass cheeks each time she leaned in to take a shot. It could’ve easily been either of them.

  “She left,” he smirked.

  “Really?” I questioned sarcastically.

“Yes. Really. She was the bartender, her shift ended,” James explained, still smirking.

“I see,” I tried to act like he wasn’t getting to me, but he was.

My cheeks were on fire as he continued to stare with that stupid smirk smeared all over his face.

  “What?” I snapped.

  “You’re jealous,” he laughed.

  “Not hardly,” I sighed.

“Oh, I think you are,” he roared.

“Why would I be jealous? If you wanted to go home with a bar whore, that’s your business,” I snarled.

Wow. I was jealous. Why else would I call the woman such a nasty name? My heart raced as I tried to regain some class.

“I just mean, what you do is your business,” I sighed.

James pulled my stool towards him, pulling my body close to his. His hands moved to my legs, gripping them at the outer thigh. My panties soaked with arousal as he peered into my eyes, his lips so close that I thought he would kiss me right there in front of everyone. God, how I wanted him to kiss me.

“You’re the only business I care about,” he purred.

My heart beat hard against my chest. My breasts tightened into my lace bra, itching my hardened nipples with the rough fabric. I wanted to lean in, to kiss him, but the bartender slid a burger in front of me, interrupting the moment, and bringing me back to reality.

  “Another beer…and coffee?” he asked.

  I nodded.

James finished his first cup, sending it with the bartender as he left. I was disappointed that I’d missed my opportunity, but relieved at the same time.

I dove into my burger with the appetite I had for him, tearing into the meat wildly and swallowing it whole.

James sipped his coffee but kept one hand on my leg. I wondered if he could feel it quiver.

We sat and listened to the jukebox, naming the songs and artists as they played. We laughed about the woman playing pool, pointing out that she’d forgotten her panties when her large bush showed itself on a shot she had to lean sideways to reach. It was fun, and before I realized it, I was buzzed, and James was sober.

“Let’s get outta’ here,” James said softly, his eyes filled with hunger.

  I nodded.

James’s hand rested on the small of my back as he guided me through the front door of the bar. In the night air, I sobered a little but was still pretty dizzy.

“Maybe I should get a coffee in me first,” I pointed to the donut shop across the street.

  James shook his head.

“I’m taking you home,” he smiled.

He walked me to his truck, opened the door and helped me inside. I watched as he pulled my keys from my hand and used them to open my car. He handed me my briefcase before he closed me into the truck.

I was breathless as he slid into the seat beside me, my body in full arousal mode. I knew he was taking me to his ranch, and I knew what we were going to do.

When we pulled up to the ranch, neither of us spoke. James got out and opened my door, gently lowering me to the ground.

  Our b
odies pushed together as I steadied myself, and my body pulsated blood with a thump so hard I was certain he could hear it travel through my veins to my heart. I was ready. I knew he would kiss me. My body tingled, and I wanted him so bad I could barely refrain from jumping into his arms right then.

He slowly pulled away, grabbing only my hand, and walked me to the front door. My hand shook as James handed me the keys.

“You unlock it; my hands are busy,” he smiled, sliding behind me with his hands firmly gripped on my hips.

I guided the key towards the door, searching for the deadbolt to let us in while James slid my skirt up around my hips. Cool night air nipped at the wet spot between my legs, freezing my panties against my swelling flesh. I moaned. My hand shook uncontrollably as I continued to search for the deadbolt.

I could feel his body sliding against me, downward. His breath warmed my ass cheeks, and then the cold spot between my legs. Fingers tugged at my panties as I finally found the deadbolt. I had the wrong key.

His tongue slid up my legs as my panties slid down them.

A moan rolled from my lips as his tongue reached my pussy, gently flicking against the sensitive flesh with a steady skill. My back arched, my ass pushed towards his mouth, but my hands continued to search for the right key.

“I love your taste on my tongue,” he said softly, his breath warming my skin as he spoke.

A hand reached up, gently pushing at the top of my back, bending me so I opened for him, exposing my vulnerability to his talented tongue. My legs spread willingly, giving him plenty of room to work his mouth against my aching cunt. Warm laps of his tongue up and down, through my swollen folds, inside of my warm body, and then out again to flick against my swollen clit.

Sensations ran through me that I’d never felt before, and my body began to lose control. I moaned, groaned, and ground against him, my ass sliding up and down on his face.

Finally, the key slid into the lock. I turned, the door opened, and I nearly fell inside before James caught me in his strong arms. I turned to face him: my skirt still hiked around my waist and my panties around my ankles.

Before he could tease me again, I tiptoed to him and kissed him hard, tasting my arousal on his lips, his tongue.

Dizziness overtook me as he walked me backward. My backside hit against something hard, something I was now sliding onto, James lifting me and pushing me back.
