The Chronicles of Qi

Page 20

by J E Kerry

Wang studies a label on one of the containers and wonders, “Venus?”.

“Yes, since 2021 Venus has been inhabited by selected scientists from Earth in a secret air-city program. Unlike on Mars, which we colonized in the late 20th century under the surface, on Venus, we are only able to live high up in the clouds,” he says as a holographic live stream of Venus with its futuristic airships, sky buildings, and shining blue sky appears in front of Wang’s Visuals.

“As you see, at about 30 miles up,” he explains further, “the temperature reaches roughly 160 degrees Fahrenheit, which is a fraction of the surface temperature. The atmospheric pressure of Venus is comparable to Earth’s at sea level. Therefore, a perfect surrounding to set-up an airship city in the clouds.”

Unit 12 enters Level 5, reading in holographic letters above their heads:

  CHRONOVISOR

  (chronological visualization device)

The large hall is layered in holographic screens, displaying multiple past, present and future events.

“The Chronovisor hall allows us to observe the past and shape future events,” Sniper says as he leads the soldiers along a row of holo-screens.

“So, you can change the future?” Aaron asks interested.

“Yes and no,” Sniper explains. “We basically record possible outcomes that have changed over the years due to the PFE and create event scenarios to be prepared for the worst.”

Sniper instinctively looks to Brian again and answers his unspoken question, “PFE. The Positive Future Equation”.

“What’s that?” Brian still wants to know.

They make a turn into another row of numbered holo-screens.

“The PFE teaches us that our collective actions are set in motion through a synergy between the positive timeline and a unity consciousness,” Sniper points to the screens as he continues. “You’ll notice that more negative events occurred prior to December 21, 2012 than after this day. That’s when a huge consciousness shift took place on Earth.”

Wang looks up to the screens displaying scenes of various past events circling around world wars, presidential assassinations and terror attacks like 9/11.

Unit 12 enters Level 6, reading in holographic letters on the wall:

  STELLARATOR

  (Plasma Confinement Chamber)

The oval-shaped hall houses an overly large, doughnut-shaped device in its center.

“That’s our ‘Stellarator S-PC18’,” Sniper commences proudly, “the latest model of a plasma confinement chamber”.

Wang’s Visuals zoom closer to the object, receiving more details on size, weight and construction elements. He activates his X-Ray to observe the plasma forming within the Stellarator as it generates a wormhole.

“It creates a gravitational wormhole by connecting two separate points in spacetime,” Sniper explains. “With this device we’re able to open shortcuts into parallel universes and different points in time.”

Wang deactivates his Visuals as Sniper turns around to them and addresses their forming circle with a serious look in his exotic eyes.

“However, we’re still far away from mastering to keep the connection constant. Until now, travels into parallel universes last only for about 10 minutes max,” he notes.

Teenage Chrononauts lie head to head in a triangle on three horizontal chairs. Humanoid assistants connect the back of their necks with long needle-cord devices. The holo-screen displays how Melatonin is pumped right into the Chrononaut’s pineal gland. The assistants open the connection to the wormhole and monitor each of the subject’s astral travel on screen.

“Once the Chrononaut’s body leaves the material level and taps into the spiritual quantum vortex field, created by the plasma, his consciousness travels to its next destination and materializes again in form of an astral avatar,” Sniper resumes his little lecture.

Wang observes the Chrononaut’s consciousness on the screen’s POV as it dives into the spiritual quantum vortex.

Unit 12 enters Level 7, reading in holographic letters above the floor:

  ARC

  (A.R.C. Aeronautical Re-positioning Chamber)

The team walks through a hall with two elliptical-shaped booms which are about 8 feet tall and 10 feet across each other. They are connected through a harmonic resonance damper. Sniper leads them past the quantum computers to the portal-platform.

“To your right are the latest quantum computers and down there our field generators, made of conductive space metal,” he says while Wang already swipes through all the details about the computers and the boom device on his Visuals.

“The Harmonic Resonance Damper restrains the electrons, in order to let them flow like a shimmering stream of water, and creates a quantum veil,” Sniper adds with an elegant hand move as Unit 12 steps closer to the device and he continues. “As you know, entanglement isn’t the spooky long-distance link that Einstein thought it was. Entanglement is the bridge linking distant points in space, shaping spacetime. That’s how we are able to use this device and space-jump through slots.”

“Slots?” Brian wonders about its meaning.

“Slots are niches in spacetime,” Jodie cuts in short, clearly enjoying showing off with her knowledge, “containing synthetic quantum environments”.

Sniper does a surprised turn with his head, “That is absolutely correct Ms. Red-head,” he says impressed but tries to hide his attraction for her by continuing with the introduction and leading the unit around the device.

“We usually use this aeronautical re-positioning chamber to prepare selected Chrononauts for specific upcoming event scenarios, or to travel back in time and explore stored events. Within these slots, we’ve successfully established an artificial holographic planetary domain,” he says as Jodie feels encouraged to ask more.

“So, what’s the difference between the Stellarator and this A.R.C.?” she wants to know while Rahul and Brian have their five seconds, goofing around behind her.

“We should jump back and inform ourselves about what we know,” Rahul whispers, winking to Brian. “So, we would know then that we should know now that we don’t know nothing at all.”

Brian needs a moment until the penny drops, “Spacilicious, bro’. You’re a genius”.

“Don’t tell time.” Rahul jokes and they ‘low’ five, undetectable by Sniper who’s focused on answering Jodie’s question.

“The SQEs, synthetic quantum environments, constructed on and off Earth, were built to condition and educate mankind, so we’d be able to sustain a future role among Type 1 to 4 civilizations in space and in the interdimensional multiverse,” he explains.

  “Meaning...?” Jodie asks.

“Meaning, the A.R.C. device acts as a portal in our universe and dimension. You can travel with your body. The Stellarator on the other hand allows your astral body to travel in spacetime and reach parallel universes and other dimensions.”

“I still don’t understand,” Aaron says, scratching his head.

“The A.R.C. teleports hard particles,” Sniper does a hand-move over to the shimmering flow of electrons. “Our physical body is nothing more than a collection of atoms strung together. That’s why we’re able to teleport ourselves from one place to another. In this case, with a little help.”

He looks across the row of soldiers, “You should read about the ‘Atomic Theory of Ancient Times’. Great Greek philosopher Leucippus, father of the Atomic Theory, once said: All reality consists of hard invisible particles, moving and colliding in empty space”.

Aaron busily swipes through pages on the ‘AN-CDC Google Web’ of his HWB, searching for Leucippus and his ‘Atomic Theory’.

Unit 12 enters Level 8, reading in holographic letters above their heads:

  VP HALL

  (Vortex Portal Hall)

In the center of the Vortex Portal Hall hovers a gigantic holographic Earth-sphere, surrounded by an electromagnetic and an ouroboric grid that show pulsing lay lines stretched across the surface of Ear
th, with emphasis on specific areas where all points come together to touch.

“Welcome to the heart,” Sniper commences with his last lecture for S-8.

Scientists sit behind their holo-screens, collecting information about unknown planetary systems and their inhabitants, frequencies, vibrations, and new vortex points forming.

“You’re probably wondering why we call this the VP Hall?” Sniper asks. “The answer hides behind the two grids.”

He points to the red and blue colored grids, similar to arteries and veins of the human body.

“Miss Red-head, would you mind reading for us?” Sniper asks Jodie with an encouraging smile.

She nods, honored, and steps closer to the holo-screen Sniper and the unit are inspecting.

“The Principle of mentalism: The universe is mental, the ‘All’ is infinite mind; which is the fundamental reality and the womb of all universes.”

Sniper picks up on it, “Who wrote that?”

No one has the slightest idea.

“Hermes Trismegistos, the greatest grid engineer of all times. His Smaragdine Emerald Tablets are the key to Earth’s energy body.”

He takes a step closer to Jodie and puts his hand on her shoulder, making his student blush while Philipe follows their interaction once more with suspicion and envy from behind.

Philipe had noticed them stealing glances at each other ever since the journey started. This little secret love story is beginning to annoy him, and he doesn’t know what to do about it before this matter eventually consumes him with hatred. He doesn’t want anything to distract him from the mission at hand but anytime he sees Jodie and Sniper exchange knowing looks, he just wants to scream and get out of the room.

“What little Red-head so beautifully recited, was the first of the ‘Seven Hermetic Principles’,” Sniper says.

“But what are these grids for?” Aaron wants to know; with an interest he usually only expresses when sensing a bigger picture hiding behind a person or name of history. He is a passionate history and philosophy connoisseur and loves to read about ancient theories and secrets.

Sniper leads them further around the sphere.

“First of all, VP is short for ‘Vortex Portal’,” he explains.

“And I thought we gonna meet the Vice President. LOL,” Philipe jokes to himself, whispering as Jodie throws him a bored look over the shoulder, compelling Philipe to shut up.

“Each single vortex point on the grids represents a natural stargate,” Sniper continues. “We separate between the electromagnetic and the ouroboric grid lines.”

Wang and the unit take a closer look at the grid lines and observe new portals popping up or disappearing.

“These grids are exterior skeletal energy structures, predating physical Earth,” he notes. “The ouroboric grid, with its 6 yin and 6 yang lines, is the essential foundation for the magnetic polarities of the electromagnetic grid.”

Within their walking line, Brian can’t help it but bury his head into Rahul’s back, nauseated by the spinning, vibrating light and popping up of vortexes. From his angle, it looks like a disco night gone wrong.

“This is worse than a triple space-loop,” he says mumbling with his forehead in Rahul’s back.

“Dude, please throw up ‘over’ my shoulder, not on my sexy back.” Rahul requests.

Jodie, with the ears of a fox, turns around and shoots one of her stone-cold looks over Philipe’s and Wang’s shoulder to Rahul, who grins like a Cheshire cat.

Sniper pauses their walk and gathers the unit in front of the sphere, “What we’re doing since the terraformation is to map out potential portals into other galaxies and list those with habitable planets like Earth.”

The sphere stops spinning and reveals all available portals on Earth that pop up connection-names to habitable planets.

“The one who brought everything into motion was once again, Tesla,” Sniper goes on. “Because of his very early inventions, we’re now able to undertake planetary travels by using the electromagnetic vortex propulsion of the grid.”

“But I still don’t understand how we get to other planets,” Aaron says, curious.

“Patience, Blondie,” Sniper teases. “Follow me!”

He takes Unit 12 over to a huge metal gate and leans into the AIRD, an automated iris recognition device. His access is approved, and the gate opens, revealing an enormous dome-shaped hangar, filled with man-made UFOs.

A sense of astonishment washes over their faces as they eye the various machines, each appearing older and more primitive than the last.

“Does that answer your question, Blondie?” Sniper asks Aaron with a wink.

“Wow! Now we’re talkin’,” Aaron says, and he reveals his perfect set of white teeth in an unending grin, satisfied that he has gotten what he wants.

Sniper crosses the floor to ‘The Bell’, the first anti-gravity device made by Nazi-Germany.

“That old lady here was the first, known as the ‘Bell’, powered by Xeron, the IRR Xerum-525,” Sniper commences as Rahul surprisingly finishes his sentence and challenges Jodie.

“A radioactive isotope of mercury, in compound with other elements such as the legendary thorium and beryllium oxide,” he proudly says.

Sniper looks impressed to Rahul while Jodie has just lost color in her face and watches Rahul as he overtakes her by surprise. She can’t hide very well that she’s impressed yet pained.

“Guess, you didn’t see that coming, Red-head,” he whispers grinning into her ear.

Thunderstruck, Jodie lets Rahul and Brian pass by and lines up in front of Philipe.

“Don’t mess with awesomeness,” Brian warns Jodie whispering as he passes her.

Philipe, on the other hand, uses his next chance with Jodie, “Après vous madame,” (after you) he says but only receives one of her famous ‘shut the f* up’ looks.

Meanwhile, Sniper leads his unit to the next vehicle and gestures toward an oddly build craft, reminiscent of the stereotypical idea of what an UFO looks like, down to its snow-globe-like upper half and a lower half that spreads outward like a frock.

“And here we’ve got the first RAM,” Sniper says.

Jodie sees her next window and finishes his sentence before Rahul has even the chance to open his mouth, “A ‘Replication Alien Machine’ from the late 20th century. It was also called Fluxliner”.

Sniper is once more impressed and gifts Jodie with looks of admiration while Wang and Philipe join the unit from behind at the craft, whispering.

“Voilà. Meet the Chinese version of Hermione Granger” Philipe says with a hunch of irony in his words.

  “Who?” Wang asks confused.

  “Hairy Potter.” (Harry Potter)

  “What’s that?”

“Ancient history,” Philipe says with a stifled laughter.

Jodie turns around to the boys, annoyed, “Shhhhhh!”

She shifts her focus back to the front and Philipe can’t help it but notice, “Definitely still into me”.

The unit inspects the RAM while Sniper proceeds with his lecture.

“The RAM was the first man-made vehicle to draw energy from the environment and enable the craft to not only de-mass itself but basically conserve energy by using the flux in the vacuum spacetime as a power source for the propulsion system,” he says with an inviting look to his two best students.

“So, the faster you go, the more energy you have available that you can convert into propulsive force, and the lower the relative mass of the vehicle becomes,” Rahul says, reflective.

  “Inversal Propulsion,” Jodie chimes in.

“At least two of you seem to have done their homework,” Sniper smiles at the rivaling pair.

“Do you understand a thing they’re talking about?” Philipe asks Wang, whispering into his ear.

“Just nod,” Wang whispers back through a locked smile. As a Chinese, he’s the master of disguise and has perfected his body-language, leaving no doubt that he understand
s every single word of Sniper’s lecture, when in fact, he is as nervous as hell to have the SFB eventually find out that he never went to any academy before he came here. Wang even cannot explain to himself how he made it through the theoretical entry exam which must have something to do with his Didi, Zhao Yun. The only thought Wang has at the moment is to not draw any attention to himself. But with Philipe by his side, it always seems like a walk on rope fortified with glass shards and hot coal.

Sniper continues their orientation across the hangar.

“After the RAM got out, more and more craft of different size and shape were built by the former secret societies and their shadow government,” he explains.

The Unit passes by some historical U.S. aircraft.

“Monsieur Bruno,” Sniper challenges Philipe. “What are their names?”

Philipe immediately stalls, caught; the whole unit waits for his answer as Rahul conceals a laugh and whispers to Brian, “He’s such a 404”.

“Just as I thought,” Sniper says, undazzled. “Red-head, please enlighten our French Creton.”

Jodie points proudly to the craft. The six constructs sit side by side. The short, smooth and capsule-like appearance of the Lockheed X-22a is only interrupted by a couple of wheels underneath it. The following two TR3 series ships resemble manta rays in their triangular shape, and the B-2, as well as the Aurora, follow up on this design but with more obvious wing-like protrusions.

“Lockheed X-22A which is a two-man anti-gravity disc fighter,” Jodie commences proudly straightening in front of the unit. “TR3-A Pumpkinseed, TR3-B Astra, B-2 Spirit, the Aurora and the Northrop Quantum Teleportation Disc.”

Sniper looks disappointed over to the defeated Philipe and rewards Jodie by calling her on her last name.

“Well done, Conroy,” he compliments her with a wink.

“Thank you, Sir,” Jodie accepts with a chuckle and they continue to a long corridor. Wang is suddenly overcome with the feeling that someone is following them. He glances behind him and activates his Visuals to scan the surrounding on X-Ray and infrared. Nothing’s there.

He catches up with the team, and they take a turn around the corner as Wang abruptly stops and fights in the air, putting his shadow-enemy with three hand-moves to the ground, revealing.
