True Desires

“What do you want?” he whispered.
“I want you to fuck me… I want you to fuck me… I want you to fuck me…”
I chanted it softly like a prayer. I suppose it was, considering how desperate my body had become.
Noah didn’t take much longer to oblige. Feeling his hand on my stomach, I could feel it reverberating through his body. The feeling that he wanted it just as bad as I did.
It didn’t matter we were out in the open and anybody could catch us. What happened before didn’t matter. What might happen later didn’t matter. The only thing that mattered was this moment.
As my lips parted for his length, my mouth slowly started to open even wider. Every inch forced my jaw to drop as if it would help the screams of pleasure beginning to build in my throat get out faster. He gripped my waist firm and squeezed me like he was trying to hold me in place. He buried his length deep into me, his hilt pressing against my ass.
Oh, God…
He was completely inside of me. My wetness coated his length and made it easier for him to slide back and forth. The friction of every stroke continued to send an indescribable pleasure through me.
He started slow. He moved in and out of me but gave me a hard thrust just as he got to his hilt, digging into me even deeper. Then he would pull out almost all the way, leaving just his tip inside before slamming himself back into me.
My body started to sweat. The warm summer night was doing its part but Noah was responsible for more of it. The soft fabric of his shirt rubbing against my skin with every stroke felt wonderful. I could hear him grunting behind me. He was working hard. There was no more time for talking. The two of us were focused on just this moment.
His thrusts became faster. The sound of my ass bouncing off his hilt filled the alley. He grunted. I moaned. If anybody came within a few meters of the alley, they would know exactly what was happening. There was no other sound like it.
Just as I got used to the rhythm, his hand dug into my hair. A quick grasp and a tug forced my head back, turning my face toward the night sky.
“Ahh!”
A sudden shriek escaped from me and shot into the sky. My eyes shut and my face pointed up, I was helpless in Noah’s powerful grip. He was manhandling me, taking me however he wanted.
I squeezed my hands together, as if it would help me get a grip on the brick wall I was pressed against. Noah pushed into me even harder. My chin was just a few inches from the wall, my breasts pressed against it. My ass poked out just enough for him to get a good angle into me.
The moans stopped. Everything was caught in my throat. My jaw hung open and my eyes shut tight. I barely had enough sense to reach down and rub myself as my orgasm came closer to me.
I could feel him getting close, too. His grunts became shorter. The sound of him was barely there. The only noise he made came from him banging himself hard against my body.
I rubbed my clit furiously until I couldn’t take it. My knees started to tremble. The rest of my body followed. I tried to remain standing tall but the pleasure of it was going to make me collapse.
Oh… Oh, fuck…
I gave up. I lost myself to everything Noah just put me through and my climax took control. My knees squeezed together. My insides tightened against his length. My vision blurred. I couldn’t hear anything. The feeling of my orgasm spread from my core and pulsed through the rest of my body. The pleasure was unbearable. The only thing keeping me standing was Noah’s grip upon me.
He squeezed my hips in one hand as my orgasm racked my body. He tightened his grip on my hair and pulled my head back as if he were trying to snap my neck. With several more rapid thrusts, I could barely hear him grunt behind me. His body jerked hard against me, driving me into the brick wall so hard I thought it would leave a hole. He kept himself within me. The wet feeling of his seed filling me up made my orgasm that much harder to handle.
Together, underneath the moonlight and the stars, we came to a point of ecstasy where everything else was gone and nothing else mattered.
I didn’t realize it when my senses slowly returned to me. His grip loosened on the back of my head and my forehead pressed against the wall. My shoes dug into the ground to hold me up. Noah pulled out of me and fluids from both of us trickled down the inside of my thighs.
I stayed leaning against the wall. I couldn’t move. Noah practically drilled me into it.
As everything came back to me, his body leaned up against me. His length, not as hard as it once was, pressed against the small of my back. My eyes closed, I sighed at the feeling of his face next to mine. His familiar scent filled my senses and reminded me of just what I’d fallen so hard for.
“Happy birthday,” he whispered into my ear, his breath warm and teasing.
I didn’t respond. I couldn’t. My eyes closed and my body leaning against the wall, I stood there and enjoyed the moment for as long as I was able to. I couldn’t have asked for a better present.
Chapter 20
The sound of the monitors beeping would have driven me crazy if I listened to them any longer. The hangover coming and going inside of my head was a minor annoyance. But as I sat there and stared at Kimmy, her body nearly lifeless on the hospital bed, my mind was clear enough for me to understand what was important.
I left Noah that night without saying much else. He made the point he needed to make. There was nothing left for me to say either. It was hard for me to admit I cared for him. I knew there was something inside of him that felt something for me.
I still needed time to sort things out. Visiting Kimmy gave me the opportunity I needed.
I reached forward and took Kimmy’s hand in mine. She was still warm. There was still life inside of her even though there were tubes in her nose and her eyes were shut tight. I squeezed her hand softly like I had once before in the hopes she would squeeze back but again there was nothing.
“How is she?” I asked.
Dr. Braun continued to monitor her, taking notes on his clipboard.
“Nothing has changed,” he replied. “She’s stable. There isn’t much else.”
“Nothing? She hasn’t improved at all.”
“No, I’m sorry,” he sighed. “But the good news is she is stable. She doesn’t seem to be getting any worse.”
“That means she’s going to be okay, right?”
“Anything can happen. Again, I don’t want to make you any false promises.”
“Right…”
I let out a soft sigh and slowly released Kimmy’s hand from my grip.
“I’m sorry,” he said as his hand fell on my shoulder. “I didn’t mean to get your hopes up.”
“It’s all right,” I said as I turned to him. “I know you’re doing your best.”
“We all are. Everybody at the hospital is doing what they can. She’s getting the best care available. The best thing for you to do right now is to stay positive.”
“I know, doctor.”
“…I’ll… give you a moment with her.”
The doctor took his hand from my shoulder. The door closed behind me with a click, and I was left in silence with Kimmy.
I didn’t know what else to do. I didn’t know what else to say. All I could do was sit there and hope she’d open her eyes. A part of me was beginning to get sick of having to come to the hospital. The frustration of her not getting better already was boiling up inside of me. Kimmy was still resting peacefully, an undetermined future in front of her. I didn’t want to be around her with the anger I felt inside.
I got up and left her room. I was greeted by a cop who was walking up and down the hall, patrolling the hospital like he was inside of a prison. It was another reminder that Victor Castle loomed. Even when he was nowhere in sight, the threat still remained.
I walked over to the hospital cafeteria to grab myself a cup of coffee. I took a spot at an empty table in the corner of the room, right next to the window. As I looked out of the window, I saw so much of the city beneath me. The people.
The cars. Most of the buildings were old and being remodeled. Other spots had been zoned off while construction was being done.
“Need some company?”
I turned my head quickly at the sound of the voice. I sighed in relief when I realized it was just Officer Dion standing there, his hands cradling his own cup of coffee.
“Oh, it’s just you.”
“I’m sorry. Did I startle you? I didn’t mean to bother you.”
“No, you’re not bothering me—”
“Then you won’t mind if I have a seat.”
I turned my attention back to the view. I watched all of the people and cars moving below me while I took a sip. Officer Dion was in my peripheral. From the corner of my eye, I could see him looking out the window the same as me.
“What do you think they’re building?” he asked.
“What?”
“What do you think they’re building?” he repeated. “Over there. See that construction spot?”
“I don’t know,” I said with a shrug. “Another building, I suppose.”
“Yeah, it must be one hell of a building. Look at how big the lot is. I’m guessing it’s gonna be a huge skyscraper. Bigger than the Taurus building.”
“I doubt it. I don’t think there’s room in this city for two buildings that big.”
“Sure, there is. Buildings are built up, you know? Not sideways.”
“Sure. Fine. Whatever.”
I took a sip of my coffee and kept staring out of the window. I didn’t mind Dion’s company. I suppose he was just doing his job in watching over me. With everything going on, I would have preferred to just be alone with my thoughts.
“I’m sorry,” he said suddenly.
“What?” I said as I turned to him.
“I’m sorry… about last night.”
“Last… night?”
“I’m sorry I interrupted you. You were having a moment with your friend. I think I heard him shouting something about it being your birthday…”
“Oh, that,” I said with a chuckle. “It’s all right. You’re just doing your job.”
“Right. Do you remember what I said about Castle?”
My ears perked up.
“I remember. What about it?”
Dion leaned forward and looked around as if he were checking to make sure nobody was listening.
“We just got word,” he whispered. “Castle knows the city is too hot for him. He’s planning on getting out of here sooner than we anticipated.”
“What?” I said, not wanting to believe him. “What are you saying?”
“I’m saying he’s gonna skip town. Soon.”
“How soon?”
Dion shrugged his shoulders and frowned at me.
“A couple of days?”
“A couple of days?” I exclaimed as I tried my best to keep my voice down. “Are you guys gonna do anything about it? Are you gonna arrest him?”
“I don’t know,” he replied. “The district attorney’s office doesn’t have enough.”
“They have to have something on Castle. You said they had people working for him.”
“Yeah, but don’t you remember what I said? They need enough evidence to make it stick. The DA doesn’t have enough.”
“This is ridiculous…”
I nearly fell over in my chair as I reeled back. After all this time, Castle was going to get away with it.
“A little girl is in this hospital in a coma fighting to stay alive and you’re telling me the man responsible is just going to skip town. You have to do something!”
“We can’t do anything. We don’t have a warrant. We don’t have any evidence. We can’t keep him here against his will. He’s not a prisoner out on bail. If he wants to leave, he can leave.”
I didn’t think it was possible to feel any more frustration but I was. Kimmy was resting peacefully in her room but there was absolutely nothing I could do for her.
“This city…” I sighed.
I turned and looked out of the window. I saw what I always saw. Just a bunch of people going about their day. Each one of them was oblivious to what was happening in this city, in their city. They weren’t going to do anything about it.
What am I supposed to do now?
I racked my brain, searching for some way to figure a way to help the situation. Kimmy deserved justice. I promised her that. But I wasn’t the one who could give it to her.
“What does the DA need?” I asked.
Dion took a loud sip of his coffee.
“What?”
“What does the district attorney need?” I said as I turned to look at him. “What will it take for the DA to indict Castle and bring him to justice?”
“I don’t know,” Dion said, shaking his head. “It would take some real hard evidence. Nothing short of catching him on video killing someone. Or maybe a recording of him admitting his crimes.”
I looked out the window and thought to myself.
Video surveillance… An audio recording…
I knew better than to get myself involved. Max told me to stay away. Dion told me to leave it alone. Even Lee had seemingly come out of nowhere because I was putting myself in danger. And then there was Noah. I knew he wouldn’t be happy about any of this.
It didn’t make any sense. But something came over me. Something I couldn’t describe.
“I’ll do it,” I said.
Dion took another loud sip of his coffee. From the corner of my eye, I could see him staring at me over the rim of his cup.
“What? You’ll do what?”
“I’ll get the evidence you need. I’ll get a confession out of him.”
I turned and stared at him. His eyes locked on mine as he slowly lowered his cup down to the table. After a few seconds, a smile formed on his face and he chuckled at me.
“Good one,” he said. “You almost had me there.”
“I’m not joking.”
“I know you’re not. This isn’t a joke.”
I stared hard at him. He was unable to look back at me, instead turning his attention to his coffee. I kept waiting for his response but there was none. He took another sip then looked out the window into the distance.
“How the hell are you going to do that?” he asked.
“You’re a part of the investigation. You have people. Have them put a wire on me. I’ll go meet with Castle again. I’ll get a confession out of him.”
“Miss Cooper—”
“He confessed to me last time. I’ll just get him to say it again. Would that be enough to get the DA to press charges and arrest him?”
He looked back at me and leaned across the table. His voice lowered and his eyes staring right back at me, the cordial attitude Dion usually had was gone.
“This is serious,” he said, his voice low.
“I know it is.”
“Why? Why are you doing this? Is it because of that girl? Is that why?”
“So what if it is?”
“Look, I’m sorry about what happened to her. Really. Seeing someone like that, especially as young as she is… It breaks my heart. Truly. But you work at that shelter. There are so many people just like her who need your help. Don’t throw it all away.”
“I’m not throwing it all away. I’m trying to do something good.”
“By setting up a meeting with Castle? If you meet with him again, you’re not coming out alive. It’s as simple as that. There’s no if. He sees you, you’re dead.”
“I’ll get out. You’ll be there to protect me. You’ll make sure nothing happens to me. And if something does, you’ll at least have the evidence to put him away and put an end to this. I don’t see what the problem is.”
“You’re joking. You must be joking.”
I could see something building up in his eyes. It almost looked like anger. He was doing his best not to raise his voice and draw any attention to himself.
“No,” he said as he shook his head. “It’s too dangerous.”
“Listen…”
I leaned across the table and stared right into his eyes.
“…If you don’t help me do this, I’ll meet him by myself.”
“You’re gonna take matters into your own hands?”
“If I have to.”
“And then you’re the one that’s gotta be worried about being charged. Obstruction of justice, interfering with a police investigation, obvious intent to do bodily harm—”
“Then help me! Help me put an end to this. We’ll do it together.”
Dion leaned back in his chair and let out a frustrated sigh. I’d never seen him like this before. He gulped down the rest of his coffee then crushed the paper cup in his right hand. I stared at him, waiting for his response.
“You’re serious,” he said as he finally looked back at me. “You really wanna do this.”
“I’m serious.”
“…Okay,” he sighed.
“Good—”
“Hold on. Just wait a second. Give me some time.”
“We’re running out of time.”
“I know. Just a day. I’ll talk to some of the higher-ups. I’ll try to set something up. Now… I’m not promising anything. I can’t do anything if they say no. But I’ll try, okay? Will that stop you from doing anything rash?”
“Yeah,” I sighed. “Okay. That’ll work.”
“…I think I’ve been spending too much time around you. Your crazy ideas are starting to make a little sense…”
I couldn’t help but give him a little chuckle even though there was still obvious frustration on his face. I picked up my cup of coffee and stood up from my seat.
“I’ll be going now,” I said. “Are you gonna come follow me?”
“Give me a second,” he sighed, his attention turned toward the view of the city. “I’m still admiring the scenery.”
I made my way out of the cafeteria and finished the rest of my coffee. The caffeine had given me a sudden rush of adrenaline. If Dion was able to convince his superiors, I was going to need as much adrenaline as I could get.
Chapter 21
After visiting Kimmy, my hangover returned to me. I couldn’t allow myself to sit around and do nothing though. I could only assume Noah was busy in his garage like he always was. He never took a day off. I didn’t send him a message. Not after telling him I needed space.
