  “Yeah big time.”

“I just want you to be happy Holly. I saw you with him today at the amusement park. You were the happiest I’ve ever seen you.”

“That reminds me I want my teddies.”

  They both erupted with laughter.

“I never knew you had teddy craze.” He joked.

“Well sometimes it’s nice just to be a regular girl. Why didn’t you tell me about Nephilim or my how much they adore my not so private life?”

Caleb groaned. “I thought it best you just kind of experienced that for yourself.”

“Caleb they know things…this ring for starters.” She held up the chain around her neck. “How could they?”

“The Immortal world isn’t that different from yours. We have…magazines too and reporters and unfortunately we’re flavour of the month.”

“Christ.” She muttered slumping against the wall.

“Wait till they hear about our break up and you and Dominic, that’ll be fun.” Caleb said sarcastically.

She shook her head at the madness of it all. “Why are still here?”

He looked at like he didn’t understand the question.

“I messed up, cheated on you. You don’t owe me anything Caleb. I wouldn’t hold it against you if you wanted to leave.”

  “I’m still your Guardian Angel.”

“Is that the only reason you’re staying with me?”

Caleb looked at her, his sapphire radiance returned and he moved on his side. Her breath caught as his hand stroked her cheek. “I stay because…It hurts far worse if I don’t. I still love you Holly despite everything, you’re so deeply engrained in me that I don’t know how to function without you, and maybe it was my fault for pushing you away.”

He inched towards her and she knew he was going to kiss her. Breaking his spell she moved away. “Caleb…I love you, but I’m in love with him. I can’t help it. It just comes automatically and I’m tired of fighting It.”

  “I know.” He said sadly.

  “I’m sorry.”

“You can’t help the way you feel Holly. I should be going.”

  “Caleb...”

“I’m not leaving you Holly.” He folded her into his warm embrace. “Not until we’ve seen this thing through.”

He slipped away down the corridor. Emotions swirled in her, all fusing together making it hard to breathe. She had gained something so…rare and precious in Dominic but that had caused her to lose the one thing she had depended upon: Caleb. She still reeled from their abrupt ending after nearly eight months together, but she had made her decision: Dominic was what she wanted.

She strolled down to the toilet craving cold water to douse the hotness that burned her cheeks like fever. While washing her hands in the basin she glanced at the above mirror and her heart burst with longing. Dominic’s smouldering reflection was standing behind her leaning against the wall of the wet room. She swallowed the lump in her throat as her nerves kicked into overdrive. He always provoked this reaction in her body; it was like he had took over her filled every sense till all she could think about was him. Drying her hands she turned to face him.

“Can’t keep away can you?” She teased although her tone had a distinct nervous edge to it. The air above them crackled with sexual tension as his wandering eyes travelled up and down her nearly naked body.

“If you’re going to insist on walking around here dressed like that, then some ground rules are going to be laid down.” His words made her pulse quicken as he moved closer letting his leather jacket fall to the floor.

“I thought you liked me dressed like this?” She breathed struggling against the urge to touch him. He pressed into her till her spine dug into the counter behind. “In private. Not in a dormitory full of randy pot heads.” She melted when his hands caressed her bare arms.

  “Jealous?” She whispered.

“Miss Adams I have the tendency of getting very physical,” He nibbled on her earlobe and she cursed herself for letting out an excited yelp. Dominic could play her like a fiddle and they both knew it. “So watch yourself because if I do you’ll need a miracle.”

“Oh boy.” The promise of being punished by his defined, perfect body made her lose any inhibitions. “I want you now.”

Their eyes locked as he edged her up onto the lip of the counter, she swayed precariously half on and half off until he smoothly parted her legs, pinning her up against the cold tiles as he eased her damp panties aside and massaged her throbbing clit.

She held his love stoned gaze as he teased her. His mouth pressed against hers and his tongue begged for entry. She accepted moaning at the feel of it exploring her mouth. She sucked on it ravenously as he slipped a finger inside her wet opening. Passion overwhelmed her and she broke away panting, hot kisses trailed down her check and sucked on her hard nipples.

“Jesus.” She gasped as another finger entered then another widening her. He slipped in and out of her with fast strokes.

“Come for me Holly.” There was something un-caged about him tonight. She knew he had been taking it easy on her and the prospect of seeing what he could really do turned her on. She climaxed with a high pitched gasp of delight.

He sucked on a finger. “You taste good on me.” He told her. God he made her so hot for it. She unzipped him sliding his jeans down; the motion took her inches away from his swollen member, and an idea popped into her head. She wanted to learn, wanted to make him happy wanted more than anything to make him wild for her. She gripped him and took his swelling, veiny penis in her mouth.

Holly heard him inhale sharply then felt his supportive hands on her hips holding her in position, as she bent down and teased his crown with her tongue. She found that she quite liked it. His body shivered and jerked as she sucked him.

“Get on your knees.” He told her firmly while stepping back. He helped her down off the counter teasing off her underwear and vest before she willingly kneed in front of him.

  “You ready?”

Holly nodded dying to feel him in her mouth again. This time he fisted her hair and controlled the flow. Her daring grew and she took him down to the root. She choked suddenly and he quickly pulled out. “No, don’t.” She pleaded with him. Holly was caught up in his marvellous hot throbbing body, everything else ceased to exist. She was his willing pupil dying to learn the intimate workings of Dominic Prince. What made him tick, what pushed his buttons?

  She needed to know.

He held her still and pushed to the back of her throat, thrusting with unrestrained urgency. She sat there rocking with his momentum squeezing him with her lips. “Holly.” He called out as she cupped his heavy sacs. Throaty groans ripped out of him as her eyes clogged up with tears. She tasted his pre-come and almost couldn’t swallow because it was so thick. He pulled out quickly.

“What…are…you...doing?” She panted trying to gulp much needed air down her lungs.

“I’m going to suffocate you if we keep going.” He said ruggedly. “You don’t have to prove anything Holly just enjoy me.”

Dominic pulled her into his arms. His mouth taking hers savagely while their sweat covered bodies rubbed together. Holly undressed him slowly savouring his chiselled body, kissing every perfect inch of him. He spun her round roughly so that her belly was up against the counter and spread her legs forcefully. His hands came round to caress her breasts as he entered her from behind. Her hands splayed across the surface as he came in her. Dominic manoeuvred her into positions she had never deemed possible.

Her body cried out for a reprieve which he didn’t give. Dominic made her body feel incredible. He was just the right amount of dominance as he pushed her to her limits then beyond. His voice calling out her name and groaning spurred her on learning what he liked and what made him really hot.

Eventually she passed out on top of him pleasantly exhausted with his semi-hard cock still in her.

Her cock-a-doodle-do- alarm woke her at seven.

Holly slowly came to with her face in a pillow, groaning she slapped the head of the chicken down and mercifully silence reigned. Rolling over onto her back she grimaced: her abdomen muscle was tense and sore. Her whole body felt like she’d been riding a bunking’ bronco which in short was what she had done, only Dominic was more of a bunking’ stallion. Her body flushed at the memory of him inside her. Their sweat mingling together as they writhed over the tiles.

Layla waltzing into the room brought Holly back to reality. “Rise and shine.” She sang looking flawless in tight jeans and a tank.

“I’ll rise but I refuse to shine.” Holly mumbled wishing she was still there in the bathroom with him. She looked down at the dark shirt she was wearing, the shirt Dominic had been wearing last night. A smile came to her lips then died when he was nowhere to be found.

“What’s so amusing?” Layla asked putting away her wash bag.

“Nothing.” Holly said quickly…too quickly. Layla eyed her with suspicion. “Is that a guy’s shirt?”

  “Err…”

Layla dropped down beside her. “Come on Holly. If we’re going to be friends you can’t hold out on me. I can keep a secret.” Holly summed up her options. She didn’t want to offend her Layla seemed like the only student here who wasn’t interested in gossiping about her, but on the other hand Dominic was the one thing she wanted all to herself. She felt possessively protective of him.

“It’s Dominic’s.” She finally said. Layla took that in with a sly smile. “I think I’m going to like you.” She said with a knowing wink. “Come on hotness. We have class in an hour.”

The cold shower woke Holly up like a knife to the heart. Layla had assured her it was the best thing after an all-night session; it cooled any leftover urgings and brought you round at the same time. Holly hadn’t wanted to disagree; nothing could kill her primal urgings for Dominic, but did it anyway. She was shivering violently by the time she got out.

Dressing in a thin off the shoulder sweater and black leggings with boots she joined Layla down in the cafeteria.

“That’s better.” Layla greeted as Holly sat down. “You look with it now. You want some breakfast?” She slid a basket of hot cross buns over the table at her. Holly took one and marvelled at the sugar hitting her lips. “Thought you would. I imagine Dominic can be quite the energy drainer.” Layla said. “So are you two a couple now?”

Holly nodded her head shoving the last of the bun in her mouth before getting another.

  “Since when?”

  “Two days ago.”

“Hmm. Sex is always great at first.” Layla moved the basket an inch to the right then leaned in. “How big is he?”

Holly choked on her bun. “Jeez Layla.”

“What? I’m just curious.” She said with a shrug. “How long does he last?”

Holly picked up another hot cross then got to her feet. “I’ll see you in class.”

“Come on Holly. Don’t leave a girl hanging!” Layla shouted after her.

Holly swept out of the café like an Olympian. Layla would take some getting used. Holding the bun in her mouth she unfolded her schedule. Her first lesson was with Andrea in the main Quad. She tucked it back into her bag and munched on her third bun as she crossed the threshold and emerged into the daylight.

“You look lost. May I help?”

Holly spun and found herself looking into the most unusual golden eyes. The man in front of her boasted a head full of golden curls and a welcoming face. “I was looking for the Main Quad.”

“Then follow me.” He said with a smile that reminded her of something, she couldn’t quite remember what. “Oh that’s okay. I don’t want to take you out your way.”

“Nonsense. I’m heading over there anyway. I’m Professor Brook.” He held out his hand and she shook it instantly feeling at ease. “Holly Adams.”

He escorted her round to the back of the college; she sensed his eyes studying her as they walked to where Andrea and the rest of the class was already out on the green lush lawn.

“Ah there you are Holly.” Andrea smiled pleasantly ushering her to a patch of grass. “Thank you Gabe.” She darted at the professor who waved then shuffled off. “Right now summoning is about control Holly. I know you’ve had…problems with your gift, and that’s because you’re fighting them.” She positioned Holly a few steps away from a lanky boy with brown wavy locks who was trying to bend a spoon by staring at it.

“Really?” She asked Andrea motioning to spoon bender.

“Miles has the ability to re- shape things; he’s still a little rusty.” Andrea explained. “Now I want you make this basketball float.”

“Float?” Holly snorted in amusement. “Look I don’t know what you’ve heard about me, but I don’t float things. I set them on fire.”

Andrea clasped her hands. “You can do anything you put your mind to Holly, that’s why you’re so powerful. You can wield you’re magic into what you want it to be. You set things on fire because you’re angry, and it hurts because you won’t accept what you are now. Try floating the ball.” She placed the basketball on the grass and went off to help the rest of the class.

“This is ridiculous.” Holly said under her breath, the promise she had made to Dominic flittered into her mind and she took a deep breath and focused on the ball. Willing it to move with all her soul.

  The ball stayed grounded.

“Damn!” She cursed then stumbled back as the rubber ball exploded into flames dousing the nearby students in smouldering basketball.

“Andrea,” Miles said wiping his glasses clean of debris. “We’re going to need another ball here.”

“Sorry.” Holly said to him sheepishly removing molten rubber off his shirt.

“Don’t worry about it. I’ve had worse.” He said with an unconcerned shrug.

“Holly focus on good memories, happy memories rather than negative ones.” Andrea said bringing her another ball. “It has to powerful though.”

Holly watched her float away in her maxi dress and black pumps. She caught the warily glances the rest of the class gave her and sighed. This was pointless. She didn’t want to be a witch. Her powers felt foreign and alien to her. They took over her body using it as instrument to work their will; it was like sharing your soul with a twisted evil thing. Of course she was fighting them god knows what they would do if she tapped into them.

She looked back at her dormitory which was just visible from the Quad. Dominic entered her mind again bringing with him images of their late night love making in the bathroom. God she yearned for him: his dark seductive eyes, his expert touch and his addictive lips. She knew that she would never get enough of him. Ever. But she would have fun trying.

A collective gasp made her turn back to the lesson, her astonished gasp rose to join the others.

In front of her not only was the basketball floating but also spun in mid-air, like it was balanced on an invisible finger.

  “Cool.” She heard Miles say.

“Okay class, that’s all the time we have for today.” Andrea’s voice penetrated Holly’s focus and the ball bounced to the ground. “Knew you could do it Holly.” She said smugly as she passed. It suddenly occurred to Holly that her so called gift could be used for good, instead of burning to death it could nurture, protect even. All she had to do was think of Dominic: her guiding light.

  Her inspiration.

  Chapter Six

  ∬

  The Devil’s Orion

Holly spent the rest of the day in the college library.

She had always felt at home with musty old books, and the library here boasted an incredible volume of them. Holly skimmed through the stacks and found most of the books housed here had more to do with Immortals and Nephilim then school matter.

A number of them caught her interest and she carried them over to a dark cedar table intricately carved with Angles, and spent the rest of the afternoon engrossed in them.

Holly was involved in the books
so deeply that she jolted out of her chair when hot lips pressed against the delicate skin of her neck. The chair toppled backwards and she stumbled over its prone carcass.

“Jumpy much?” Dominic’s amused tone said in her ear as he caught her. Holly’s back brushed his chest and heat washed over her. Slithering in his protective arms she turned and was rendered speechless by his beauty. Her lips kissed his lightly then sucked on them playfully

“I missed you.” She whispered as their foreheads touched. “I can tell.” He breathed back. Dominic pulled away and she thought she caught a glimpse of fear in his eyes. Holly watched him right the chair then glanced at the book that was laid open upon the table. “Catching up on your supernatural history?” He asked with arched eyebrows. She moved round to close the book as he took a seat opposite. “Just curious. Where’ve you been?” She asked settling down into her seat.

He grimaced and lounged his arms across the back of his wooden chair. “Trying to get blood from a stone.”

  “Huh?”

He leaned towards her lowering his voice. “The guy from the amusement park is proving to be quite the challenge.”

  “He’s not talking?”

“Nope. Caleb thinks he might know something about Michael’s whereabouts.” He shrugged. “I’ll crack him eventually. How was your day?” He asked slumping back.

“Good. I spent the morning blowing up balls.”

Dominic squirmed in his seat. “Please tell me that you’re not talking about real balls.”

Holly rolled her eyes. “Get your head out the gutter Dom. Basketballs.”

He gave a smile of relief. Holly moved to him and straddled his lap letting her chest rub against his while her fingers skimmed over his cloth clad body. She couldn’t resist the feel of him; she had been starved of him all day.

“I actually made one float.” She told him with pride.

“See I told you this place would be good for you.” He said watching her fingers run over him.

“Why’d you bail on me? I woke up and you weren’t there. Caleb used to do that” She said nuzzling his neck.

“Andrea wants our presence here to be limited. She doesn’t want us screwing up her student’s education. I’m breaking her rules now.”
