She was about to kiss him when her fingers felt it. At his neckline, under another layer of hair was a small place where the hair had been clipped. She reached into her pocket, pulling out the braid that Teagan had given her. “This is yours?”
His hand went to the spot, and his eyes narrowed as he fingered the short clipped edges. “How…”
Josie slipped her hand over his mouth. “It doesn’t matter, does it?” she asked.
John shook his head, kissing the fingers that covered his lips. “I feel like I’ve been waiting for you forever,” he said softly, the Irish lilt in his voice making her heart sing.
“Then maybe you shouldn’t wait for me any longer,” she whispered, kissing him. “Take me to bed, John, please. I want to feel you inside of me.”
“Yes,” he groaned.
