Irish Dreams

“I saw Hook; that wasn't animated.” When he just stared at her, she gave in with a smile. “Okay, fine. Please, enlighten me.”

“I'll keep it simple and short. When I was down here that morning, I made a wish. I didn't even remember there was a faerie ring here until afterwards. I never expected any faeries to listen to me and then grant me a twisted version of my wish. I guess the faerie thought I'd be fun to play with?”

“Okay, so what exactly happened, Brendan? 'Cause right now I'm more concerned for your sanity. If I didn't share those dreams and have this insatiable appetite, I'd be so far gone from here…”

“You can't leave me any more than I could leave you. This desire we feel is stronger than even our own will. I'm hoping we can convince the faerie or faeries to release us from the spell so we can get back to our normal lives.”

“Hell, at this point I'd dance naked under a full moon and paint stripes on my body if it would help.”

“That could be arranged,” Brendan said as his eyes burned with a desire her words had ignited.

It was something she should have expected. They'd had sex at least an hour ago, so it was about time for another round. Perhaps it really was magic that kept them ready and willing for more sex. It would explain how he stayed hard and she didn't get sore.

She opened her mouth to ask him a question, but he leaned close and covered her mouth with his. Slowly, he pressed her back against the tree and kneeled in front of her. As they kissed, he wrapped his arms around her and lowered her to the soft grass.

Eryn thought about protesting, but who was she kidding? She didn't want to protest any more than she wanted to stop breathing. The sensation of the cool breeze and the soft grass excited her, but scared her because they were out in the open.

“We really need to find a way to end this, Brendan. Every time we make love, I'm just as ready for you as if we hadn't done it in weeks. I can't take much more of this. I need to do things other than fuck you.”

“It's making love, not fucking. I love you, and I refuse to let you cheapen what happens between us. So what, if it happens frequently, it doesn't lessen what it is. An expression of love.”

The sound of clapping caught her attention as swift and harsh as a bucket of cold water would have. Eryn froze and turned to the left. A small woman with dark hair smiled at her and Brendan from the tree branches.

Eryn tried to untangle her legs from Brendan, torn between embarrassment and anger at the invasion. Then it dawned on her who the petite woman was, as two translucent green wings fluttered behind her. A faerie. A real honest to goodness faerie. Brendan was right. Was this the faerie who'd cast the spell?

“How dare you!” Eryn shouted as she pushed at Brendan. She froze as she realized Brendan wasn't moving at all, hadn't even blinked. “What the hell did you do to him?”

“What do you care?” the faerie asked. She whipped her head so that her hair flew back, and she pinned Eryn with her gaze.

  “I care. Don't hurt him.”

“Hurt him?” The faerie laughed. “Far from it. I have no desire to hurt Brendan. He's a chosen one.”

“Chosen one?” Eryn gasped and clasped her hands on his shoulders. “You mean you are going take him to your place and keep him there forever where he has to sing and dance for you until you grow tired of him and send him back here where so much time has passed that he'll die instantly?”

“Do you even understand what you just said?”

“I could do without your sarcasm,” Eryn snapped.

“And I could do without your attitude. You should be grateful. But you aren't. You're an ungrateful, annoying wench with a major attitude problem.”

“Me!” Eryn gasped again as rage filled her. Her hands shook, but she didn't want to let go of Brendan in case the faerie did decide to take him with her. “You're the one who did this to us, aren't you?”

“And what do you think I did to you?”

“All those dreams. You infused both of us with this insatiable lust and desire. All we think about, all we want is sex. Hell, we didn't even know each other, but the instant we met we had sex. This isn't how things are supposed to work. He asked you for help, not torture.”

“Oh, so this is torture is it?” The faerie's eyes narrowed and her wings stilled.

Eryn swallowed and wondered how much damage the faerie would do now.

“So having a man want you more than he wants to breathe is so bad?”

“It is when he doesn't want to breathe, damn it. I'm just as bad. Night and day, I fantasize of him, and it's only gotten worse since I found him.”

“You ungrateful human!” Her eyes spat fire as the faerie gracefully dropped to the ground. “I have given you Brendan. What more could you want? He's financially secure, a family man, wants marriage and children. In short, he's everything you've ever prayed to your God for. But because I answered your prayers instead of Him you will refuse Brendan?”

“That's not it at all. This isn't real. None of this is real.”

“When you were here at the start of the summer, did you or did you not wish for a love like Eileen and Liam have? Did you or did you not wish for a man like Brendan?”

“Okay, so what if I did? I meant for a man to love me, not for you to make him make love to me.”

“No.” The faerie shook her head. “You said nothing about love. You wanted a man, you never asked that he love you.”

  “No.” Eryn shook her head.

“Yes. Your specific wish was I want a man like Liam. A man to make me feel the way Eileen does. I want to be with someone who has eyes for no one else. Someone who can make me want him and one who can satisfy me in the bedroom. I want a man to make me feel complete, to make me feel desired.”

“Stop!” Eryn interrupted as she covered her ears, then realized she'd let go of Brendan, and grabbed onto him again. “Okay, okay, perhaps I didn't word my wish the right way. But I've always wanted true love, not something that's a spell. I never wanted someone to be made to love me.”

“I didn't make him love you. The desire between you two is not of my doing. I forced you two to meet and then let nature take its course.”

“You deny this!” Eryn shouted. “You gave me dreams of him, and gave him dreams of me. We didn't know each other and couldn't have desired each other. We didn't meet until today. And we haven't stopped having sex until you just interrupted us.”

The faerie shrugged. “So I gave you two a little nudge, some encouragement. Meeting in your dreams counts. It was real, just on a different plane than you are used to. You two are meant for each other. When Brendan made his wish, I was feeling generous and granted it with a little bonus. Admit your true feelings, and you'll see what a gift I've shown you.”

“Now what are you saying? That he is my true love?”

“You can argue with me until you are blue in the face, Eryn. Nothing will change. When you admit the truth to each other, then the spell will be broken. You can't tell him the truth, until you can see it and admit it to yourself.”

“Oh, great. Now you're being cryptic. Can't you just fix this?”

“What, Eryn? What do you want? Do you want me to take Brendan away? Erase his memories of you? Make it so that these past months, this entire day didn't happen? Do you want me to erase his memory and send you back to America?”

Her first instinct was to shout no, then yes. But so many thoughts swirled round in her mind, all of them struggling to be heard. What Brendan made her feel was incredible. The nonstop sex, while tiring, would surely stop after a while, right? How long could they go on ravishing each other? And if it was a spell, they could find a counter spell without the faerie's help, right?

Wrong. Eryn groaned and shook her head. Her shoulders, neck, and back hurt from all her muscles clenching tight. She refused to let go of Brendan. But how could they determine their true feelings for each other? He said he loved her, but he was a guy. He might be misinterpreting desire for love. What if once the spell wa
s gone, they hated each other?

“You should have either granted his wish, or left well enough alone.”

“His soul cried out for true love. I couldn't resist.”

“But you didn't give him true love. You gave him me and an insatiable appetite.”

“And if I hadn't, would you have come here, met him, and given in to your desires?”

Eryn looked at Brendan. When he blinked back at her, she nearly released him in surprise, but instead she glanced back up. The faerie was gone.

Brendan cupped her breast and flicked his thumb against her nipple. Even through her shirt and bra the sensation made Eryn shudder. She gasped and pushed him away even though desire raced through her veins.

“We need to talk, Brendan. I can't talk with you doing this to me.”

“We always talk much better after we're sated from sex.”

She wanted to argue, but realized he was right. When she fought the desire, it grew worse, and if they tried to talk, they'd end up making love anyway. “I can't take much more of this, Brendan.”

“Then why fight it? Just let yourself go.”

Let myself go? As crazy as it sounds, what do I have left to lose? “All right, fine.”

“Fine? Don't sound so excited,” he whispered as he slipped out of his shirt and removed his pants.

“But anyone could see us.” She glanced around and wondered where Liam and Eileen were.

“So what if they did?” As if realizing that was the wrong answer, he smiled and leaned down. He grabbed her hands and tugged her to her feet. “Look around. There is no one for miles. You can't see us from the road, and the only people who use that road are those coming to visit me or Liam. We're surrounded by trees and nature. Now let me pleasure you out here. Let me show you my love, here where everything started.”

  “What happened to you, Brendan?”

  “What do you mean?”

“Your body went completely still as if you were frozen in time, and a faerie appeared to me.”

“What?” He stopped what he was doing and looked up at her. It was only then that she realized he'd been busy undressing her while she'd worried over the faerie and her threats.

A cool breeze blew through the grove, and Eryn shivered as Brendan finished removing her clothes. Did she want to tell him all of it? How much was real and how much was fantasy? At this point she had to believe everything was real even what had happened to Brendan, and the faerie's threats.

“It was as if you were frozen in time. You weren't responsive.” She remembered her fear that the faerie would take him, or even worse, take away his memory of her.

“What aren't you telling me?” Brendan asked as he ran his hands up and down her arms.

She was not about to tell him the faerie wanted him. There was no way she'd let him go. And ever since the stupid argument with the faerie she was so horny she couldn't think straight. Had the faerie done another spell? One out of spite? If Brendan didn't do something soon, she'd have to pleasure herself to take off the edge.

“Make love to me, Brendan. I just want to forget it.”

He frowned, but pulled her up against him and cupped her chin. “I love you, Eryn. Whether you choose to believe me or not.”

Eryn shivered again, but melted against him, drawing on his heat and strength. It's the middle of the summer and I'm freezing. God, I have issues. I don't know how he can say he loves me, but, heaven help me, I can't let him go. I don't want to. Damn faerie.

Brendan worked his magic, his hands caressing her back and ass as he lifted her against his erection. Murmurs of pleasure reached her ears and fueled her desire. Just thinking about him plunging deep inside her made her knees weak.

“Brendan,” she whispered, trailing kisses along his collarbone and chest as she pushed away from him so she could move more easily.

She licked a circle around one of his nipples, heard his indrawn breath, and sucked it into her mouth. He groaned and grabbed her arms, walking her backward, deeper into the trees, before settling her down on the tall, soft grass. It was as if the fickle faerie had made a bed for them. Thoughts of the faerie fled as Brendan returned the favor, licking and sucking on one nipple while squeezing and pinching the other. Moisture slipped down her thighs, and she groaned knowing she was ready and needed him now.

Instead of filling her, he continued his slow torture, licking and caressing every inch of her body until she hummed with desire and trembled under each caress. A slow orgasm built, like the one she'd had earlier, but it seemed different. Brendan seemed to have found the patience to go slowly, the spell wasn't affecting him as strongly as it did her. Had the faerie decided to take him away from her anyway? Was this goodbye?

Tears filled her eyes as Eryn grabbed onto him. Brendan looked up at her, and stopped his caresses when he noticed her tears. “What's wrong, love?”

“Nothing. Don't stop. Don't ever stop making love to me.”

He opened his mouth, probably to argue, but he didn't say anything. Instead, he returned to suckling at her breast, and slid one hand down to cup her heat.

Eryn rocked against him, rubbing against his hand like a cat in heat. Soft sounds of pleasure filled the grove. Impatient, she pressed against him and wiggled. Brendan chuckled and slipped one finger inside her.

“More, please, more.” She gasped and turned her head from side to side.

Brendan ignored her, and continued to insert only one finger inside her canal. His thumb brushed against her clit, and she twitched, automatically widening her legs for him. As if he didn't notice her reaction, he didn't touch her clit again, just continued to slip his digit in and out. Her body sucked him in deeper and she squeezed tightly, but it wasn't as satisfying as his hard cock.

“Brendan.” She moaned and arched her back. Panting breaths escaped from her parted lips as his thumb rubbed against her clit. “Yes, God, yes, please, Brendan.”

His soft laughter made her feel wanton, but she couldn't help it. She needed him with a fierceness that surprised even her. Every time they had sex, her hunger seemed to increase. If this was an indication of what she could expect, she would die from sexual exhaustion long before she grew old. But what a way to go.

All thought fled when he added another finger to the first and replaced his thumb with his tongue. He sucked her clit into his mouth and worked it with his tongue while he increased the force and speed of his fingers.

Eryn rode his hand, faster and faster, as thousands of nerve endings began to tingle. A warmth spread through her like wildfire, and she clutched at it, squeezing him and letting go as all the sensations flooded through her. Her scream echoed as she rocked against him. She shuddered, and whimpered as he lapped at her, licking up her cum until she was clean and breathless.

“Brendan.” She whimpered, feeling the desire building all over again. Tears fell fast and furious this time. With each orgasm, her need built. It wasn't her imagination.

  “Why the tears?”

“I need you again. Damn it, I need you more now than ever. Please, please, Brendan.”

He stared at her in confusion. “Why are you crying?”

“Because I feel like I'll die if you don't take me right this instant. Not only am I insatiable, but now it's worse. I need you with a hunger I've never experienced before. If this is what happened to you, no wonder you stopped leaving the house. Please, Brendan. Please, please. Make it stop.”

“I know how to make it stop, but I can't tell you.”

“What?” she hissed, spine arching as she leaned forward and grabbed his shoulders. “Tell me. Fuck me. Just do something.”

Brendan groaned and dropped his head onto her arm. “If I tell you, the spell won't be broken. You need to figure it out for yourself.”

“You mean you aren't under the spell anymore?”

“No. I'm not under the spell anymore.”

“You knew it was a spell?”

“I knew it was something. If you aren't under the faerie's infl
uence anymore, then what are you doing?”

“I'm making love to the woman I love. What else do you think I'm doing?”

“But if you aren't under the spell…” Realization dawned, and she left the sentence unfinished. Somehow, he'd managed to undo the hold the spell had on him, yet he was still here, trying to please her, because he knew she was still entangled in the spell. Not because the faerie made him, but because he wanted to.

Her heart swelled with emotion, but she choked it back down. Instead, she reached down and tugged him up so she could kiss him. When he positioned himself, and slid easily in, she clamped her legs around his waist and forced herself to hold still. Her muscles protested, but she couldn't give in to the urge to mate and mate and mate. She needed to remain in control.
