Interference (Prescott Family Book 1)
Page 16
I pulled back from her nipple with a pop, my fingers never stopping from their pursuit of her finding release. I knelt down and trailed kisses along her hip bone. I nibbled gently at her tickle spot and had to fight a grin at the squeeze of her inner muscles around my fingers.
She was close.
I nuzzled my nose along her curls right before sucking her clit into my mouth, the tip of my tongue tangling with the tip of the bundle.
Her hips bucked under me, her knees squeezed against me, and her hands were in my hair, holding me close then pulling me away as if she were at war with how much more she wanted. My name echoed in the air.
Caleb.
Caleb.
Cael.
Ael.
Ael.
Ack.
Eek.
Eek.
I pulled out of my dream, realizing what I thought was my name was actually my alarm clock.
Fucking thing.
I tossed my arm out to silence the damn thing. My cock was fucking hard and ached, needing release from Sydney’s warm, wet heat. Needing Sydney’s tight entrance and playful squeezes.
God fucking damn.
I hadn’t needed to jack off since I was damn near twenty years old. There was jacking off because you wanted to, because you wanted release, but this was an all-consuming need.
In the past, if I wanted sex, I could find sex. Never had I been so completely hung up on one person before that finding a willing partner wasn’t an option.
And I was more than hung up on Sydney.
I also hadn’t ever been stuck on a boat, but that was beside the point.
Pulling myself up to lean, slouched, against the headboard, I reached down to grab my aching cock. My sleep-fuddled brain was a little confused when my hand encountered fabric.
I hadn’t slept in boxers since I moved out of college dorms. I must have been exhausted the night before. I reached under the elastic band and pulled my hard, stiff cock out, pushing the fabric below my balls. Gripping myself at the base, I squeezed hard. I contemplated pulling up Sydney’s picture, but I could pull her into mind more than easily.
I pulled and tugged on my cock, it hard and pulsing in my hand; when I reached the head, I used my thumb to slide the precum around the blunt tip, imagining Sydney’s tongue doing the same. That image had me groaning, my eyes closing, and my teeth at my bottom lip.
I tugged and pulled, twisted and squeezed, ran my palm over the head, my thumb under the ridge. Over and over, faster and faster, Sydney’s auburn hair over my thighs in my mind.
I squeezed at the top, thinking of Sydney’s perfect mouth, sucking my head. My thumb was her minx tongue.
Again and again. Up, down. Squeeze, pull, twist.
When the telltale tingle started in my spine and my balls tightened, I cupped them with my other hand, squeezing there more gently but just enough.
With her name on my lips, I came across my stomach in hot, white spurts. My hand at my sac fell to the side and my slouch deepened until it was just my head resting up against the headboard. I was still hard in my hand but not as achingly so.
Sydney was going to be the death of me.
Correction.
Not seeing Sydney was going to be the death of me.
After showering and jacking off yet again, I met the production crew and women at breakfast. Thankfully the girls didn’t play musical chairs, all just sitting wherever they were. Apparently they didn’t want to put much effort in this morning, which was abso-fucking-lutely fine with me. I didn’t have the energy to fake interest in the girls at the moment.
Maybe after breakfast.
The show host, who I met the day prior, came into the room.
“Good morning, ladies and gentleman.” His name was Jack Stewart and he was probably about my parents’ age. He clasped his hands in front of him in a show I was beginning to understand was for dramatics. “Today we will be having our first group date. Five of you ladies will be going on a group date with Caleb today. But only one of you will return. Are you ladies ready to learn who’s participating today?”
The women clapped, some of them cheering lightly with laughter circling the room. I put on my fake grin, looking around the room. I winked at Rachel when she waved in my direction.
“Alright, then. Ladies! The group date today is… Drum roll please,” he said before letting out a fake chuckle. “A pedal bike tour around the island! You will be biking and sight-seeing. Then you will be lunching on the beach and shortly after, Caleb will be making his decision. The ladies included on this trip are going to be Brandy, Caty, Kat, Noelle, and Kristin!” The room erupted in cheers again, some coming from the safe women as well. “The five of you will need to return to your cabins so you can pack your bags. You know, in case you’re not lucky enough to move along. I will see you all in an hour!”
“Cut!” was yelled somewhere in the room and Stewart shook his hands out, pulling at his neck tie. Glad that I wasn’t the only one annoyed with the attire. I stayed sitting though, unsure if I was allowed to leave or what the plan was.
“Caleb!” Tony yelled from somewhere in the back of the room. I stood, excusing myself from the table and headed back his way. Someone grabbed my ass along the way. I had never been a really grabby guy, but I felt bad for all the women who men objectified in this exact way.
I was really beginning to like my personal bubble.
“What’s up, Tony?” I said as I reached him, trying for uninterested rather than annoyed.
“I need you to start looking like you’re enjoying yourself. I have a shit ton of shitless footage. The girls are doing great, but you need to try a little harder.” He pulled out his phone and began typing out a message. “Don’t make me pull up the contract. That you signed.”
I refrained from rolling my eyes. “I’m just getting to know the women, Tony,” I came up with.
He looked up from his phone. “I need to see you making moves today. I can put a fucking yardstick between you and the girls. Get closer.” He shook his head and turned, apparently dismissing me. “Fuck! Never have a I worked with a man so determined to stay away from fucking hot women,” he said as he walked away.
Fucking douche.
Fine.
I would do what he wanted – to a degree.
Sydney may not be around and she may have wanted me to put effort into this show, and hell, maybe I was putting more stock in what she and I had than what was really there, but I wasn’t about to put a wrench in something as fragile and new as what I had experienced with her.
Our timing was shit, yes, but sometimes you didn’t get a choice in the matter.
Just as I was about to make my way up to my suite, another of the production crew yelled out, “Everyone on today’s date, we need you over here!”
Assuming that meant me as well, I followed behind the girls. Noelle, a girl I had met briefly the night before, stayed behind to walk with me.
“Question for you,” she said, her brown eyes looking up at mine.
“What’s that?” I could be cordial. I wasn’t an ass.
“This kind of gig. It’s either really awesome for a guy like you, or it’s real shitty. What’s it to you?”
I grinned slightly. “I was kind of coerced into it. Still feeling my way around.” That was a good answer, right?
She nodded a few times. “I suppose so. I’m sure it will be hell around the locker room.”
It had been a little bit hellish around the locker room after the first time Sydney and I met. Everyone wanted to know why she was there, who she was, and if they could sign up for the show instead.
Free ass? Some of them had said, saying that was reason enough to do the show.
“Probably.”
She raised her brows, waiting for a better answer. I was going to have to work on my short responses. When I didn’t give her a better one, she just smiled. “Well, I’ll see you shortly.”
Noelle walked further ahead, digging herself deeper into
the group while I stood at the back.
“We need monologues from Brandy, Noelle, and Caleb. Everyone else, go ahead and wait outside by the cars. This should only take a few minutes,” the assistant who called us over stated.
The group peeled off until there was only three of us standing. We were each assigned a camera man and crew person, and were directed to different areas on the boat.
I was ushered to a nearby deck.
“Caleb. I’m Mike,” the small camera man said. The camera looked like it was going to pull the man to the ground. “I need you to stand right along the railing, please.”
I moved to where he wanted me and stood patiently.
“I’m going to count down, and when I get to go, I want you to just talk about your experiences thus far. Girls that stand out, what you’re excited for with today’s date. Ok?”
“Sure.” Right to the point, I was.
“Alright then. Three, two…” Instead of saying ‘one’, or even ‘go’ like he directed he would, he pointed at me.
I clenched my jaw, moved my tightened lips side to side. Where the fuck did I begin? How did I make this sound legit?
“Um…”
I looked around the deck and could see Sydney in my mind, walking the decks with me, hand in hand.
“Well, what can I say. So I’ve never cruised before. This has been a new experience for me and so far, it’s been pretty great.” Yeah. I could gloss over the trip, make it sound better than it was currently, because I had knowledge of what a great trip was like. Besides, they’d edit and take what they wanted anyway, so why was I so concerned? “I was concerned that the regular sailing days were going to be boring, but they haven’t been. There’s almost always something to do. I met the women last night and I’m pretty excited about that.” Hey, that lie didn’t sound half bad. “There are a couple front runners,” I grinned wide, making sure it was just enough to flash my dimple. We Prescott boys had that act down to a science. “But we still have nineteen days to go, so I’ll keep my mind open.” Yes. Nineteen. I had a running countdown.
“Today we’re biking around the island. I like to keep active, so this is a great activity. I’m excited to see how the women react to it all. I’m not saying I need someone in my life who is a fitness buff, but I do want someone in my life who can keep up with me. My days off are a mixture of laying back and moving around.”
I ran out of things to say, so I just stood there. When Mike didn’t make any move to turn off the camera, I huffed a breath and tried to find more. “One of my younger brothers has been in a long-term relationship, and while I’m not completely envious of him, I do wish I had someone by my side like he does. I have no doubt that I will have that by the end of this show.”
That wasn’t a lie. It was probably the most truthful statement I made when it came to this show.
“Ok, good,” Mike said. Apparently I said magic words just then. He dropped the camera down in front of him. “You can head on out.”
I stuffed my hands in my slacks.
That was the other thing. These people had me in slacks and dress shirts all the damn time. I wanted to wear shorts, dammit. T-shirts, muscle shirts. Fuck, I’d even wear one of those shitty blue tanktops with white pineapples all over it, like Jonny liked to wear. Anything to get out of the fucking monkey clothes. I had to wear these enough during the season. I didn’t want to wear them while cruising.
I made my way outside to the remaining girls. When my presence was noted, they flocked to me. Literally flocked to me. I tried to make nice, talking to each of them, grinning and winking when someone would pet my thigh a little too high, a little too much on the inside.
This was going to be a long, exhausting day. Being someone I wasn’t was not on my list of fun activities.
When filming wrapped for the day, I headed back to my suite.
What a fucking shit day.
And I still had eighteen full days to go.
The bike riding hadn’t been bad. I actually enjoyed learning about the island while riding against the wind. It was the fucking girls. All the talking, the needing to hold hands. I had to fake smiles and laughs. Sure, there were a few authentic smiles and laughs but I wasn’t fully enjoying myself. By the middle of the day, I had to convince myself to treat the women like my sisters.
Granted, my sisters didn’t have sly hands, but at least I could talk to them.
I had to kiss more cheeks than I cared for and a few of those girls had tried the head-turn trick, but I wasn’t a rookie at that game. Side hugs I gave became full bodied ones. My dick had been grabbed almost more than my ass had been.
These women were ruthless.
By the end of the day, I sent home everyone but Noelle. She was the least handsy and I figured because I spoke with her the most, it made sense from a television standpoint to keep her around.
Just don’t get too comfortable, sweetheart.
I collapsed on the couch, arms thrown over the back. I closed my eyes and rather than my mind going to the women who wanted my attention, it went to the pretty smile of Sydney.
Her dancing amber eyes.
Her laugh.
Her sweet ways, her sassy ways. Now her roaming hands I’d kill to have on me right now.
Even though she hadn’t answered a single one of my texts or answered my call, I still lifted my ass from the couch to pull my phone from my back pocket, needing some sort of connection with her. I opened up the screen so I could look at the wallpaper. I allowed my eyes to take in her happy look mixed in the goofy face. Her eyes were crossed and her tongue sticking out, but it was so damn fun and so damn Sydney.
I opened up my gallery to look at the rest of the images. The first one on the screen was another favorite of mine; a more serious one to compliment the goofy one I loved.
This particular picture was another selfie-style of the two of us. Sydney had insisted on taking it, so it was a decent close up—which made me smile. She was laughing in the picture and I was looking at her.
Damn, I missed her.
Before I could open up the string of unanswered texts, there was a pounding at my door. I pocketed my phone again and went to answer it.
Tony was on the other side.
Fucking douche.
I really was beginning to dislike this man.
“What’s up, Tony?” I said as I pulled the door open fully.
He bounded into the room and turned to face me. “What the fuck is wrong with these girls? I was under the impression that they were picked based off of characteristics you asked for.”
“There’s nothing wrong with the girls.” I shrugged. They were honestly all what I had once thought was ‘my type’. Sydney did great with what I gave her.
But it was what she gave me that had me changing exactly what I thought ‘my type’ was.
“Please tell me at least one of them has ‘front runner’ on your mind.”
Again I shrugged. If I had to choose…
“Grace.” The blonde was quiet and an observer. I only talked with her briefly the night prior, but I could handle keeping her around.
“Ok, ok,” Tony nodded, a faraway look in his eye. “I can work with that. Talk nice about her; it can be edited to reflect the others.” But after moment, he exclaimed, “Fuck!”
I raised my brows.
“I told that wench if she messed with my plans, I’d come after her.”
“Her?” I frowned.
“That…” He waved his hand in the air. “That woman you wanted to be around.”
He did not just call Sydney a wench.
I crossed my arms. I didn’t care if I was giving off a highly defensive vibe. “You’re a smart man, Tony. When a guy asks you to seek out a member of your crew to take a vacation with him, it’s probably going to lead to more than just chats over coffee.”
“You’re an athlete! You have women all the time; what was one woman going to do to my show? Men like you have flings all the time. I fucking didn’t thin
k she’d take your attention off of twenty gorgeous women who want to fuck you sideways to Sunday.”
“I may be an athlete, but I was taught to be discrete with my affairs. I’m not a man-whore.” I ran my tongue over my molars, trying to figure out how to work this conversation. “Look. I’ll work on my camera presence, but I swear to fucking God, if you do anything to hurt Sydney’s future, my family will go after you. Or did you forget the Prescott name is full of seven figure athletes?” Slight exaggeration, but… It was just Jonny and I these days, but my dad had a tight hand on his finances and was a coach with just as many awards under his belt as he did as a player. Add to that, my mom was a highly sought after photographer.
Tony may fight, but I wasn’t going to roll over and not fight back.
Tony pointed his finger at me and I raised a brow. He had nothing to say, I could see it in his eyes. I also saw when something in his eyes shifted.
“I have a plan.”
I waited, assuming he’d share.
Tony turned and slammed out of my room as fast as he entered it.
Apparently I assumed wrong.
Whatever. He could have his plans and his manipulation and editing processes. I just needed to get to the end of this trip.

Day 3 of 21
Hilo, Hawaii.
I’m sure it was a beautiful place, but the more I dodged hands and lips, the less beauty I was seeing in the scenery. This morning I had a trio date where all three went home, and tonight they had me on a duo date that included a girl named DeeDee but also Rachel. After the first night, when I corrected Rachel to stop calling me Noah, she did but I think she wanted to prove a point with DeeDee today.
Again and again, she called me Noah and, again and again, I forced myself to grit my teeth and laugh, like she and I had some sort of fucking inside joke.
After our tour of a botanical garden, the two women and I had dinner on the beach.
The people behind the show weren’t very exciting in their food and excursions. Not that I wanted to do anything with these girls that I did with Syd, but at least Sydney and I did fun things and tried out new restaurants. These nightly so-called intimate dinners on the beach were getting old, fast.
