Soon the entire area in front of Nero’s Estate was desolate and Nero too returned to his mansion.

Since the responsibility of the Grandura branch of the Heaven Sundering Family Clan was on his shoulder, he couldn’t slack off. He went to the basement of his Estate, and started creating charms. Each one had a powerful attack of a Late Immortal Saint Realm Martial Artist sealed in it. He was making these charms to defend against a surprise attack from the Calamity Sect or any other faction that had joined hands with Nebula Sect.

The Galactic Mental-message transmission orb was also lying in this basement not far from him.

The news regarding the attack on the Main branches of both Family Clans and the information regarding Solomon quickly spread throughout the entirety of their Grandura branches.

These two pieces of news caused a big uproar and became the hottest topics of discussion. Everyone was discussing them right from the youngsters to old fogies hundreds of thousands of years old. Ryan’s family was no different. Ryan, on the other hand, was inside the Cultivation chamber allotted to him by Alexis, and his family members didn’t disturb him as there was no imminent threat to either of the Grandura branches of both Family Clans.

After about two days of Ryan starting his Closed-door Cultivation session, he was suddenly woken from his deep meditative state by the vibration of his Mental-message transmission orb lying by his side. As he vaguely surmised it was from his grandfather or brothers, he immediately switched it on.

“Ryan, Ancestor Danr has successfully removed the poison from Shana’s body,” a Mental-message came from Oscar, which immediately brought a smile onto Ryan’s face. He felt relieved on hearing these words of Oscar’s.

“So, did things go in the way we wanted?” Ryan asked.

“Yes, the Poison Martial Artist came along with two more of his companions, who were also Existences Beyond Immortals, and half a million Immortals. They had come with a lot of confidence that they could easily take Shana away, but Grandpa Danr and the other grandpas from the Main branch killed the Poison Martial Artist and his two companions, but let go the Immortals, that had come with them,” Oscar answered Ryan.

“They told us that we couldn’t create more trouble for the Main branches of both Family Clans as they are currently embroiled in a war with a powerful faction in the Divine Universe,” Oscar added bitterly.

“The current times are not good for taking revenge. We will strike, once the situation regarding the Main branches improves,” Oscar said in an agitated manner, and Ryan could feel his grandfather’s Killing intent through his Mental-message transmission.

Ryan was taken aback on hearing his grandfather’s words, as he himself knew the importance of the Main branches for the existence of the Grandura branches.

“Are the Main branches faring well in the war?” Ryan asked in a concerned manner.

“Grandpa Sheldon has sent a Mental-message to someone to confirm it, but that person has yet to respond. So, we still don’t know anything about the condition of the Main branches,” Oscar said. Ryan could feel the tension in his tone, and he finally understood why all the Immortals in Heavenly City had been called by Nero.

“Grandfather, Head Nero called all the Immortals present in Heavenly City including the ones from Eternity Family Clan for some meeting about two days ago. It was most likely to discuss this matter. You should contact Mother or Grandmother as I don’t know what transpired in that meeting,” Ryan said.

“What?” Oscar said a stunned manner. Then his nervousness increased manyfold, as he knew that such gatherings were not called for small matters.

“I will inform Grandpa Sheldon and the rest about this matter. Bye, and take care,” Oscar said in a frantic manner.

“Grandfather, which faction is eyeing Shana?” Ryan asked hurriedly, just before Oscar cut the connection between their Mental-message transmission orbs.

“Calamity Sect,” Oscar said in anger before he disconnected the connection between them. Ryan was stunned for a second on hearing the name of the faction that was eyeing Shana, as it was the same one that he had heard about previously from Isa.

“Isn’t that the same Sect whose Grand Elder sealed Isa?” Ryan thought to himself. Soon a cruel smile appeared on his face as Baleful aura was emitted by his body and swirled around him.

“The Grandura branch of Calamity Sect has just brought forward the date of their destruction,” Ryan said to himself. He had previously promised Isa that he would help him in taking revenge on the Grandura branch of the Calamity Sect, but he’d been delaying as he wanted Isa to gain a certain amount of strength before they dealt with them.

Ryan knew that with the existences of the Main branches of both Family clans being in peril, Shana wouldn’t be safe as long as the Martial Artist from the Calamity Sect that possessed Undying Fire Beast Martial Spirit was still alive.

“Isa, can you do me a favor?” Ryan immediately sent a Mental-message transmission to Isa via the Soul link between them.

“Master, just command and I will try to fulfill your request to the best of my capabilities,” Isa immediately responded in a respectful manner.

“Can you find the identity of the Calamity Sect’s disciple that possesses Undying Beast Martial Spirit?” Ryan asked as the amount of Baleful aura coming out of his body went up by a notch. Isa naturally felt these changes, but he didn’t question Ryan as he was already quite familiar with Ryan’s personality. He could tell that that disciple from the Calamity Sect must have done something to anger Ryan, and he was extremely happy knowing that fact.

“Yes, Master. I will try my best to find the identity of that disciple at the earliest,” Isa said.

“Try gathering information without letting Calamity Sect know about your existence. Use Immortal Saint Realm wraiths or ghosts to gather information,” Ryan said as he cautioned Isa.

  “Yes, Master,” Isa said.

“Contact me immediately you find out something about that disciple,” Ryan said.

“Yes, Master,” Isa replied. Isa and Ryan then chatted for some time before they ended their talk.

Ryan exited the Cultivation chamber as he had already advanced his Poison Attribute Soul Core to Mid Mortal Lord Realm some time ago. He’d just continued to cultivate Poison Elemental Laws while he’d been waiting for Oscar’s Mental-message transmission.

He directly headed towards the Living room as he could feel the presence of a large number of his family members there. Ryan could already tell the reason: it was most likely related to Oscar’s Mental-message transmission. Everyone had been worried about Shana’s wellbeing since the day she’d left with Oscar. So, it was natural that everyone would assemble in the Living room after coming to know that there was a Mental-message transmission from Oscar.

Ryan could already hear the joyful laughter of his family members from a distance, and a smile appeared on his face too as he entered.

“Brother!!” Yun and rest of Ryan’s cousins that were above the age of five years shouted in an excited manner as they ran towards him and hugged him. Some hugged his legs, others his arms and chest. Ryan laughed on seeing their actions, and that attracted the attention of everyone in the Living room.

“Thanks a lot, Ryan,” Sheen and Alwin said simultaneously as they looked at Ryan with moist eyes. Their hearts used to pain every time they looked at their young daughter’s suffering, as they’d been unable to help ease it. Ryan had solved their biggest problem with a blink of an eye.

“There is no need for that; Shana is also my sister, so it is but natural that I would help my sister,” Ryan said as his cousins released him from their hugs. He could tell how desperate his uncle and aunt must have been after every doctor they’d visited had been unable to help. Everyone else of the Senior generation gave Ryan an appreciative nod except for Julia who was still engrossed in a serious conversation with someone via her Mental-message transmission orb.

She was actually talking to Danr who was using Oscar’s Ment
al-message transmission orb to talk with her while the other inhabitants of the Estate in the Forest of Darkness were also connected to it.

Sheldon and his four companions wanted to know the reason for which Nero had gathered all the Immortals, after Oscar had informed everyone about the meeting called by Nero. They knew the importance of such gatherings after having lived in Grandura for so long. They’d asked Oscar to contact someone who’d attended the gathering so that they could ask that person some questions. Oscar then contacted his wife.

When he called Julia, the first thing Oscar did was to inform her about Shana’s successful recovery, after which Danr took over as he wanted answers from Julia quickly. She was nervous when Oscar informed her about Danr, but the nervousness reduced with each passing second. Danr talked with her in a manner which made her feel at ease.

Julia quickly told them about what had transpired in Nero’s meeting. The information from Julia reduced the worry and nervousness of every inhabitant of the Estate in the Forest of Darkness, especially Sheldon and his four companions from the Main branch. They had been feeling guilty since they’d come to know that Nebula Sect had attacked Radiant Divine World as they were the reason why such a thing had occurred in the first place.

The thing that really stunned them was Nero’s mention of the so-called Supreme Ancestor in the meeting, that person being Heron and Herman’s father. It took some time for them to digest this new information.

Danr returned the Mental-message transmission orb to Oscar after he was done asking Julia questions.

Sheldon immediately sent a Mental-message to Raizel via his Galactic Mental-message transmission orb when Danr was finished talking with Julia. His Mental-message comprised all the information that Julia had told them. They didn’t want Raizel to be worried unnecessarily, because the Main branches of both Family Clans were safe.

The fact that they had not received any reply from Raizel meant that he had most likely not checked their first Mental-message - or that they were already late.

So Sheldon had to hurry, otherwise Raizel might do something dangerous.

Unknown to Sheldon and his four companions, Raizel along with the other members of the Main branches of both Family Clans that had been banished over the years were moving towards Radiant Divine World at high speed. The first thing Raizel had done was to contact all the banished members of the Main branches of both Family Clans. They numbered in the millions, and all of them were infuriated when they came to know about the Nebula Sect’s attack on Radiant Divine World.

Raizel also told all the banished members of the Main branches of both Family Clans the reason for which Nebula Sect had attacked Radiant Divine World. This made all the banished members of the Main branches of both Family Clans hate Sheldon and his four companions from the bottoms of their hearts.

All of them decided to go to Radiant Divine World to assist the Main branches in the war against the Nebula Sect.

Raizel was so angry with Sheldon and his four companions, that he ignored all their new Mental-message transmissions, and didn’t reply to them.

That was something that he would definitely regret in the future.

Ryan’s family, on the other hand, was holding a feast to celebrate Shana’s recovery from illness. They were holding it without Shana as she would be staying in the Forest of Darkness for some time as the Calamity Sect might still target her. Sheena and the rest didn’t try to force Oscar to bring her back as they understood the gravity of the situation. They could tell that the Calamity Sect wanted her at any cost, so there was a high chance that they might make a move on her if she was back in the Family Clan.

Ryan’s expression changed during the feast. He had received a Mental-message from the Law Enforcement Officials regarding the Divine Trials, as had all the participants present in Heavenly City.

“The Divine Trials will start from tomorrow morning,” Ryan said with a serious expression.

This news caught many by surprise as they’d expected the Divine Trials to be postponed for the time being. Everyone except for Emilia, looked at Ryan with concern, as he was one of the youngest participants in this year’s Divine Trials which made his Cultivation Level quite low compared to that of the other participants.

In this year’s Divine Trials, there was no lack of geniuses. Many of them had Cultivation Levels of Late Mortal King Realm and possessed terrifying Combat prowess just like Anzo. If Anzo had had a Cultivation Level of Late Mortal King Realm, then the result of the duel between him and Ryan would have been completely different. Anzo could then have easily taken out Ryan with a single move.

So, the difficulty that Ryan would be facing in the Divine Trials can be imagined.

“Don’t worry about me. It’s very rare for someone to die during Divine Trials,” Ryan said with a laugh, but his words didn’t put his family at ease.

The Treasure Space ejects a participant the moment he or she receives a life threatening injury, and injured participants are attended to by doctors immediately after they get ejected, but sometimes the injuries to the soul and mind are extremely difficult to treat and can have lasting consequences. So, it was natural that they were worried about Ryan, though he didn’t have such worries as his soul was exceptionally strong compared to those of fellow Mid Mortal Lord Realm Martial Artists.

“I have a few trump cards up my sleeves. So, I will be alright,” Ryan said as he tried to reduce the worries of his family members, but that didn’t have much effect on them either.

Ryan returned to his Cultivation chamber once the feast was over. The first thing he did was to take out the Hell Mantis egg from his Spatial pouch.

A sly smile appeared on his face as he gently caressed it. He wanted to create his Hell Mantis Evil Fire Spirit before the Divine Trials started, as he would require it if he wanted to retrieve a particular Heavenly Treasure, seeing as he would be unable to take Isa, Thorn and Caius along with him.

It was the only Heavenly Treasure whose location was known, but it was extremely difficult to retrieve. The Hell Mantis would become a part of his Hell’s Fire flame after its rebirth as an Evil Fire Spirit which would allow Ryan to take it along with him into the Treasure Space, unlike his Soul beings. Ryan had around ten hours, which according to him was sufficient for creating his Evil Fire Spirit.

The Hell Mantis already possessed a Cultivation Level of Early Mortal Emperor Realm even though it had yet to hatch out of its egg. That would have been its Cultivation Level for the rest of its life, if Ryan hadn’t decided to turn it into his Evil Fire Spirit. Its strength would go up exponentially after it transformed into an Evil Fire Spirit, and it would be strong enough to protect Ryan inside the Treasure Space as well retrieve that particular Heavenly Treasure.

The amount of resources required by a Hell Mantis just to breakthrough to the next Sub-realm was astronomical. Ryan knew this problem would exist even after the Hell Mantis was reborn as his Evil Fire Spirit. Most Undead creatures possessed similar requirements for cultivation that used to be required by their previous living selves. Ryan didn’t have to worry about this problem, though, as he had a limitless source of extremely pure Death Elemental Energy.

He wouldn’t have a problem, even if he were to have hundreds of Hell Mantises.

  Ch.14

The process of creating an Evil Fire Spirit is exceptionally complicated, though it has only one requirement: extremely high control over flames, but that was one of Ryan’s strong points. That was one of the main reasons Sheldon gave him this Evil Fire Spirit Martial Skill, even though Ryan was still a Mortal Realm Martial Artist. Sheldon himself had been stunned when he first saw that Ryan’s control over flames was many times better than his.

Ryan sat on the floor of the Cultivation chamber and started creating runes entirely out of Hell’s Fire flames using the Evil Fire Spirit Martial Skill. The completed runes then fused with the eggshell. The runes didn’t damage the egg in any manner even though they were burning vigorously with Hell’s
Fire flames. The fusion of the runes with the eggshell was the trickiest part of the entire process, as the eggshell would have burnt into nothingness if not for Ryan’s exceptional control over his flames.

A total of ten different types of runes needed to be fused with the eggshell, and they were so complex that even Sheldon was unable to create them without mistakes, but that was not the case with Ryan. Each rune created by him came out perfectly - without a single flaw. Ryan spent around half an hour creating each one, so it took him about five hours in total to create all ten of them and fuse them with the eggshell. Ryan then dropped a few drops of his blood on the eggshell.

The Hell Mantis egg was instantly engulfed in Hell’s Fire flame. On seeing this, Ryan smiled. Now all he had to do was wait for the process to finish. He placed the blazing egg in one corner of the Cultivation chamber as he sat down to cultivate Fire Elemental Laws in order to recover the Spirit Power of his Death Fire Dual Attribute Soul Core that he’d used to create the runes.

The intensity with which the Hell’s Fire flame burned the eggshell increased exponentially with each passing second, as the entire biology of the Hell Mantis was actually changing rapidly inside the eggshell. After a few hours, a rune flew out of the blazing Hell Mantis egg. It too was condensed entirely out Hell’s Fire flame. It looked like a combination of the ten runes that Ryan had formerly fused with the eggshell, and was pentagonal in shape.

The rune flew straight towards Ryan at high speed. He had already stopped cultivating when he sensed the rune’s creation, as he had been paying close attention to the entire process while recovering his Spirit Power. He didn’t dodge it but let it strike his chest. The shirt that he was wearing was immediately burnt into nothingness, and the rune fused with his body within a few seconds. A pitch-black pentagonal tattoo was formed on Ryan’s chest and covered it entirely.
