“I should have walked away. Or at least given you the chance to understand what was going on. Instead I barged into your life, claimed you and never once thought of stopping. I never once questioned my actions. But now…” his voice trailed off as his hands slipped away.
But now what? Daisy wanted to scream at him for leaving the sentence and her hanging. Instead her mouth might as well have been glued shut for all the good it did her. Stupid promise and even stupider her for agreeing to it.
She felt him take another deep breath and watched his hands clench into fists.
“I can’t undo it, Daisy. I doubt I would even if it were possible. You are everything I never knew I was looking for. Sexy, smart, compassionate and sarcastic, you’re the perfect woman for me.”
Daisy felt her heart stop then jump into action, beating triple time. Rami wanted her? The man thought she was sexy? Giving her thigh a quick pinch to ensure her state of consciousness, she wanted to yelp as the pain made her hyperaware that she was indeed awake.
“Please, baby, say something.” His rough voice pleaded against her tangled hair.
“You’re done?”

Tanned arms wrapped themselves tightly around her chest as a shiver raced through Rami. “Yeah, might as well get everything out in the open now.”
As much as she wanted to take her time and get the words just right, Daisy couldn’t do that to Rami. He already thought the worst of himself, no reason to postpone the torture.
“Last night I felt more loved and desired than ever before in my life.” Now Daisy took deep measured breaths to control her nerves and keep her voice even. “I’ve never trusted anyone the way I trusted you. You melt me.” She whispered honestly. “I’ve never had a man look at me with so much need and desire in his eyes. You make me feel like the most important woman in the world.”
