"I don't have all day, Vinny, what the fuck do you want?"

"I don't know if you heard or not. There was a massacre and a lot of my men were murdered, including my brother Marco. Some weeks back, my niece Sabrina was murdered in her home. I had her setting Thug's operation up for us to take him down. I needed her to get any info on him that I could. I had no idea he was our son until Sabrina came home discussing you.

In the past we had did business with him. My father refused to pay him and I have reason to believe that he is behind all the killing. It is out of my hands. The commission has placed a price on his head."

"What the fuck do you mean it's out of your hands? He's your son. After all these years the least you could do is save your own flesh and blood." I had tears in my eyes not only for my son, but because his father was telling me he couldn't help him.

"What you fail to understand is that the men he killed were Made Men. You can't just go around killing Made Men without it being some type of consequences. Here's my number, I'll see what I can do." Vinny handed me a card and I exited the vehicle. I was so upset I went straight to the storefront to tell them what was going on. Out of the people in the world to start a beef with he went and started with the damn Italians. What was worse was that he was out killing his own family.

"Everybody get the fuck out now except Malik and Sarge."

"What's wrong, Ma’?" Thug asked as he closed his office door after all his flunkies exited.

"Please tell me that you did not start a war with the Santerelli's."

"They started and I finished it. Is there a problem, Peaches?"

"As matter of fact it is a problem, they have a fucking price on your head. They don't mind killing this whole family, so I need you to figure out how the fuck you're going to protect this family." Thug sat in his chair with a real smug ass look on his face.

"In case you forgot, I have been protecting this family. My family means everything to me. I would lay down my life and die for my family. What's done is done. If they're at my head; then I'm at theirs. Fuck the Santerelli’s!"

"How do you even know about the beef, Ma’?" Malik asked looking like a deer in headlights, which let me know his ass was in on it.

  "I'm friends with Vinny Santerelli."

"Friends, huh? That's bullshit and you know it."

"Thug, you better watch the who the fuck you're talking to. You're not too grown for me to fuck your smart mouth ass up!"

"Chill Big Bro. You're being real disrespectful right now."

"I'm the disrespectful one, but your mother has sneaky pussy. Vinny isn't her damn friend, he's our fucking father." The words cut like a knife and they cut me real deep. Before I knew it, I had reached over the table and smacked his ass. Hitting him hurt me even more because I loved my kids. What really hurt was the fact that being sneaky was what got all my kids in fucked up situations. The look in Malik's eyes showed me that he was hurt. Thug sat there with his poker face on as usual. I stormed out of the room and slammed the door. All I heard was the glass shattering.

  Chapter 26- Thug

Regrets of a Thug (Part 2)

It was my birthday and I wasn’t in the mood for anything. I felt like shit for saying what I said to my mother. On the other hand, it was the truth. All Peaches had to do was come clean about our father from the jump; there would have never been bloodshed. Knowing Peaches she had her reasons for doing it. Whenever we talked, I was going to apologize for disrespecting her. I was wrong for getting down on her like that.

"Say Happy Birthday, Daddy." Tahari came in the room holding the twins. At two months old, they were getting so big. "Happy Birthday baby. I love you. Here hold them while I get your gift." Kash started to cry, as usual, he was spoiled to Tahari. Kaine on the other hand, he fell right to sleep when I held him. Tahari handed me a small bag with three boxes inside. "This shit is hot, Bae." Tahari had purchased me an Audamar Piquet watch with a diamond encrusted pinky ring with the matching chain.

“I'm glad you like it. That's going to look good on you with your custom made Gucci suit and Tom Fords. I hope you have fun at the party tonight.”

"Are you sure you don't want to come? It's going to be boring without you there."

"I'm scared to leave Kash and Kaine. Plus, there will be plenty of female company around. You just don't pull a Malik move." We both laughed because Malik had a weakness for the strippers, but these days he was strictly about Barbie. My phone began to vibrate and I looked down at it and it was a message from my mother.

Happy Birthday Ka'Jaire. I love you more than you know. I'll see you tonight at the party. Kiss my babies for me.

Reading that message made me feel a lot better. I knew that we were cool behind our fallout. One thing about Peaches, she could go months without talking to someone. She could really hold a grudge.

  Later that night

I was dressed and on my way to the party. I really wished my wife could come, but she was overprotective of the twins. She was a new mother, so I totally understand. As I drove, I constantly looked in the rearview mirror. I thought a car was following me, but it ended up turning down a side street. Once I arrived at the club, I hopped out of my Maserati and threw my keys to the valet.

"Don't scratch my shit." Malik and Sarge were pulling up, as well.

"Happy Birthday my nigga," Sarge said as he gave me hug.

"Happy Birthday, Big Bro. Let's go inside, Ta'Jay Peaches, and Barbie already inside waiting on us. Rich Homie Quan's Walk Thru was blasting through the speakers.

"Yooo the motherfucking Money Team is in the building. The birthday boy has arrived. What's up my nigga, Thug. I hear all the strippers on deck just for you. Let's turn the fuck up!" the DJ spoke on the mic.

I entered the area that was reserved for just the family.

"Happy Birthday Ka'Jaire!" Ta'Jay, Barbie, and Peaches all hugged and kissed me. For the rest of the night, I got lap dances from some of the baddest strippers in the game. I felt like the fucking King that I was. The liquor was flowing freely and everybody was having a good ass time. The whole city came out to show ya boy some love. The DJ began to talk on the mic.

"Can I have everybody's attention please? There's a special lady in the house and she is requesting the birthday boy’s presence on the stage. She has a request that no one throw money at her because she will be making it rain on the birthday boy."

I grabbed a bottle of Patron and walked toward the stage and sat in the chair that was on the stage. The lights went out and the music came on with just a spotlight shining on the entertainment. The sounds of Neyo, Trey Songz, and Jamie Foxx's The Way You Move played as the stripper made her way to the stage. She had on a large headdress and a mask with rhinestones all over it. Her top and her G-string were also draped in rhinestones. The light that shined on her made her sparkle like diamonds.

She made her way closer to me and when she stood in front of me she started throwing big faces at me. She was literally making it rain on a nigga. A took a long gulp of the Patron and sat it beside me. I wanted to focus on the vision of loveliness before me. I watched as she climbed the pole and dropped down into a full split; she was definitely a pro on the pole.

I was done once she did a full cartwheel down the pole into another full split. She crawled towards me on all fours and stood in front of me and began to give me a lap dance. The lyrics that were now playing fitted this stripper to the T.

  Shawty's so incredible

  Body language she’s a poet

She's so bad and what's so sad

Is she doesn't even know it

  Little Momma understand

The way you do the things you do

  Nobody else can

And you could probably get whatever from whatever man

So, Shorty do what's in your soul, Still it will be a shame to see you go

  Cause the way you move.

The stripper continued to make it rain on me. I could hear the cheering and the hollering. This chick had
my undivided attention. I was dying to see her when the lights came back on. The song had ended and the stripper pulled me to the back in the private dance area. She straddled me and leaned down and whispered in my ear.

"Happy Birthday, Mr. Kenneth." She removed her mask and her headdress. I couldn't believe my eyes; it was Tahari. "Did you like it?"

"I loved that shit, Ma’. Where you learn them tricks at?'

"I was taking pole dancing classes all those times I said I was at the gym." She bent down and kissed me. This woman never ceased to amaze me. These bitches couldn't hold a candle to Ta-Baby and everyday she showed me that. Tahari unzipped my slacks and pulled out my dick and started giving me the best head ever. The moaning and slurping sounds she was making had me about to bust at any moment. I felt it as my seeds slid down her throat while she sucked me until I was drained. She stood up and straddled me backwards and began to grind on me slow and sensual.

"I love you so much. Thug."

I love you too, Ta-Baby. Always and Forever. Don't ever forget that shit." I had her bouncing up and down on my dick hard as hell until I came all up in them guts. We hugged and kissed each other for what seemed like an eternity. I heard my name being called over the mic to cut my cake.

"Go ahead baby. I'm about to get dressed; I'll meet you out there. I'm not finished with you yet nigga. It's more waiting on you at home. I'm making you tap out tonight." I kissed her once more and left out the private room. About ten minutes later, Tahari joined us in V.I.P.

"We thought you wasn't coming, Ta?" Malik asked.

"I had a gift to give the birthday boy." We looked at each other and started laughing.

"That was you bitch!" Barbie screamed.

"Oh, my God, Ta. You have to teach us them moves," Ta'Jay said.

"I got y’all." After we partied the night away, it was time to head home. I was feeling real good that Patron had a nigga harder than a motherfucker. I couldn't wait to get home and fuck Tahari's brains out. We exited the club and I waited for the valet to bring my car around. I didn't even notice that he wasn't the valet whom I gave my car keys to when I arrived. He looked familiar, but I couldn't put a name with the face.

Tahari had turned away and was saying goodbye to my mother and sister. Once he pulled up and hopped out, I went to grab my keys and that's when I saw the gun. I never had a chance to react; I was caught slipping. The power of the bullets had me jerking each time one entered my body. I fell on the hood of the car and finally on the ground. All I could hear was my wife screaming, but her voice was getting harder and harder for me to hear her.

I looked up and I saw my mother and sister saying something. I couldn't understand them. At that moment, I had regretted a lot of decisions I had made. Not because my life was ending, but because I hurt the people I loved the most. My wife was a widow and my kids were fatherless. That's the biggest regret coming from a Thug.

  Chapter 27- Tahari

  I'm Lost Without You

"Is the family of Ka'Jaire Kenneth here?" We all rushed towards the tall doctor. He had that look in his eyes that wasn't right. "The injuries that Mr. Kenneth was too much for his body to sustain. I'm sorry to inform you, but he didn't make it." Those were the words I kept hearing in my head. It'd been a week without him and it felt like an eternity. I hadn't been out of our bedroom since I came home from the hospital that night. I couldn't look at my kids. How could I possibly look my babies in the face and tell them that their father was never coming home? I just kept playing the same song over and over again.

It's been too long and I'm lost without you

  What am I gonna do?

I been wanting you and needing you

Wondering if you’re safe and whose been with you

Is your heart still mine I want to cry sometime.

Aaliyah's angelic voice played in my ear. I cried, I kicked, and I screamed. "God why? Please God tell me why him? He was all I had. Please give him back to me! Please give him back to me! What have I done to deserve this God?" I was crying so hard and so loud that I never heard Peaches come in. She cradled me in her arms and rocked me back and forth.

"It's okay, Ta-Baby. Let it out baby. I miss him, too, but you have to get out this bed and plan his funeral. The kids need you so bad right now.''

"I can't do it, Momma Peaches."

"You're the wife, you have to make the arrangements."

"If I plan his funeral that means he's dead. Thug is not dead I don't care what anyone says. You make the arrangements." Momma Peaches got up and left me alone and I stayed in that spot until they forced me up and out of the bed.

  ***

His funeral had finally come. I couldn't believe me and our kids were sitting on the front pew. I felt sorry for Ka’Jairea and Ka'Jaire Jr. Both of their parents were deceased. I felt even worse for Kaine and Kash, they would never know how wonderful their father was. The only thing that made me smile was when I thought of the first time we ever met. That intoxicating smile, those tattoos, and that swag that made me want to marry him right then and there. He was my Knight in Shining Armor then and that's what he will forever be. I looked at the projection screen and watched as the slide show of pictures of the family played. I took in the lyrics of 2pac rap song Life Goes On.

Have a party at my funeral, Let every rapper rap

And let the hoes that I used to know from way before

Kiss me from my head to my toe

Give me a paper and pen so I can write about my life of sin.

A couple bottles of Gin in case I don't get in

Tell all my people I'm a Ridah

Nobody cries when we die, you outlaws let me ride

Until I get free I live my life in the fast lane got police chasing me

To all my niggas from old blocks to old crews

Niggas that got me through back in the old school

Pour out some liquor have a toast for the homies

See we both got to die but you chose to go before me and nigga's miss ya while you're gone.

How long we mourn life goes on.

2Pac 's words were hitting home because I knew Thug lived by that shit he rapped about. I looked around the church and it was packed to capacity and that said a lot about the person. I was glad to see that Khia had came to show her love and support, in spite of the fact that I cursed her out every chance I got.

The doors to the church opened up making a lot of noise, which caused everyone to turn around and stare. I watched as about ten white guys marched in wearing all black. I could tell the guy in front was someone important with status and commanded attention. He had boss written all over him. He approached Thug's casket and just stood there staring at him. He turned around and kneeled in front of me.

"I'm Thug's father Vinny Santerelli. You and my grandchildren will be well taken care of. Never hesitate to call me for anything." He handed me his card and one by one he kissed the kids on their foreheads. He also talked and comforted Malik for a minute. He tried to approach Peaches, but she dismissed his ass real quick. It was crazy because Thug had never mentioned anything to me about his father or the fact that he was a Santerelli.

I dreaded seeing Thug in his casket. I finally got the courage and I slowly walked up to his casket. He looked like he was in a deep sleep. His casket was white with fourteen Karat gold trimmings. My baby was dressed in Gucci down to his socks with custom made Gucci Air Force Ones. We draped him in his diamonds. I made sure to put him on an all white Chicago Bulls Snapback. He was flier than any nigga in the room as always. I had security at his head and at his feet. I didn't want anyone touching him or kissing him. My lips were the last to touch him and I wanted to keep it like that.

My heart broke to see Malik crying like a newborn baby on the floor in front of his brother's casket. Momma Peaches and Ta'Jay had to be carried out due to them being so distraught. Sarge wouldn't even come inside; it was too much on him. I had cried so much since he died I had no tears left. After the eulogy was given, we all headed
back to the house for the repast. Thug was going to be cremated. I wanted him with me every day.

Our bedroom felt so cold and empty. I went inside of our closet and sat on the floor. I needed to inhale his scent. I grabbed his basketball shorts off the floor and held on tight to them. I smiled because I always loved to see him in them. It was like a work of art the way his manhood hung low in them.

"Mommy, are you okay?" I looked up and Ka’Jaire Jr was standing their holding Kash and Ka’Jairea was holding Kaine. They walked in and sat down on the floor with me. I took the babies out of their hands and held them so tight.

"I want Daddy," Ka'Jairea said as tears streamed down her eyes.

"I know baby I want him, too. Don't worry. We'll be okay." We all sat on the floor and held each other and cried. I was heartbroken and distraught. However, I knew I had to get it together. I had four kids I needed to take care of. As we sat on the floor, I vowed to be strong for them.

  ***

It'd been a year without Thug and it had been hard as hell on me. Raising five kids was hard as hell. Yes, I said five kids. The night Thug got killed, he popped my ass off. I had been sick as dog and was throwing up everywhere. I went to the doctor for a check up and found out that I was pregnant. That shit hurt me even more because Thug would never get to meet our baby

I had to put my dreams of going to school on hold to raise the kids. Kaine and Kash recently turned one. I tried to give them the best party ever, but it wasn't the same without their father. Malik and Sarge helped out all that they could. They were now running the family business along with Peaches, Barbie, and Ta'Jay. I wanted nothing to do with the business. I wasn’t shit in the streets without my Clyde. I had lost all of my spunk. Life just wasn’t fun for me these days. If I didn't have kids to live for, I would have been killed myself.
