I’m trying to tread carefully, but I’m at the end of my tether. “What the fuck are you talking about?” I take a few steps forwards while making sure I keep a safe distance so that I don’t send any mixed signals her way. That said, I hope the proximity will force both of us to lower our voices. “You’ve always known what this was about,” I say, waving between us. “I don’t know what the hell’s gotten into you.”
“Please, Hunter, don’t tell me that teenager can give you what I can. You think fucking her is going to satisfy your carnal appetite? Don’t be delusional. She’s just a child. Seems like you’re the one showing her the ropes. Is she a virgin? You’re looking to mark her?” Brianna lets out an evil laugh that sends chills down my back. I knew she could be eccentric, but this is downright mental.
“Stop it, Brianna.” My voice is calculated. It’s quite deceptive considering how angry I am.
She ignores me and continues with her tirade. “Is that her selling point, Hunter? Are you turned on by the idea of popping her cherry? Is that why she’s following you around like a little lost puppy? Was this the night for her to bloody your sheets?” Brianna smirks. What a skanky bitch.
“Shut the fuck up,” I grunt.
“Let’s just talk for a few minutes inside your house,” she retorts as if we’re playing a game of table tennis.
She really doesn’t get it. “I’m going to say this one last time. I’m not alone. You’ve overstayed your visit here. It’s high time for you to find your way home, Brianna.”
She flashes me a wide, triumphant smile. I’m confused. Either she’s gone deaf or she’s got something up her sleeve. “Looks like I might have put a little wrinkle in your evening. We can talk after all. Seems like your prepubescent friend got the message and she’s going home.”
What? I flip my head around to catch a glimpse of Miranda as she closes the door to a cab. When the hell did she have time to hire one? Fuck. She must’ve texted one while I was arguing with this slut.
I turn on my heel and start running towards the street, waving my hands in front of me, hoping to catch Miranda’s attention. “Wait. Don’t go,” I yell.
It’s too late. The cab is speeding away. Miranda doesn’t even bother turning around to look at me.
Fucking shit. This is not how my evening was supposed to end.
