In The Midst Of Chaos: An MC Romance

He steadied himself and then held on to me so I wouldn’t fall.
I gasped when I saw him. The left side of his face was red from where he had gotten burned. My stomach coiled upon seeing the hardness in his eyes that didn’t use to be there before.
“Hux,” I whispered as I tried to reach and touch his face. He stopped me from getting anywhere near his cheek. His hand gripped my wrist.
“Don’t,” he pleaded. “Don’t feel sorry for me.”
I didn’t feel sorry for him, at least not for this.
“Are you okay?” I cocked my head to the side and tried to get a feel about his state of mind.
Huxley took a step forward, his hand coming to grab a piece of my hair, and I froze, wondering what he would do next. I knew that if Nash walked back here, he would lose it, and I didn’t want that to happen.
Huxley deserved to know but not like this.
“You haven’t changed your mind, have you?” he asked in a whisper.
I smiled sadly at him.
“I’m sorry.”
His jaw got hard, but he nodded. “I would have given you anything you wanted, Finnie.”
“That’s the thing, Huxley—the thing I wanted the most you wouldn’t have been able to give to me. You can’t give anyone anything until you decide if you’re in or you’re out. “
He glared at me and then walked away. Before opening the door, I took a deep breath in, shaking off the encounter. It wasn’t coming clean, but at least he knew that I was never a possibility.
When I walked into the garage, Nash was already there. He was wiping his bike with a rag. He looked up as soon as my footsteps echoed in the room.
He threw the rag to the side and looked at me as he bit his lip. My stomach dipped at the appreciation in his gaze. Nash walked to the side of his bike and sat there as he waited for me.
When I made it to him, I wrapped my arms around his shoulders, got on my tiptoes, and kissed him. He groaned in my mouth, and I smiled.
“You’re fucking killing me,” he growled.
“Come on, take me home,” I told him as I made a move to get on the back of his bike.
Nash lifted me on the seat and sat me down and then handed me a helmet.
“You are home, baby.” He kissed the tip of my nose. “Crull Manor, wherever the fuck I am, that’s home.”
My smile was so wide and cheesy as he put the helmet on me.
Nash started his bike, and we took off to my old house. I kept squirming in the back from excitement and nervousness. We were passing the backwoods of the clearing when Nash stopped his bike.
“Is everything okay?” I asked as he got off.
Nash didn’t say anything. He threw his helmet on the ground, then proceeded to take mine off and throw it away.
He pulled me by my nape and started to devour me. He kissed me as if I was a lifeline. His hands came to my waist, moving leisurely down my hips, feeling every dip of my body.
When his hands made it to the hem of my skirt, he pulled back and stared at me intensely. I bit my lip so I wouldn’t laugh.
“You’re getting fucked, baby,” he said in a final tone as he put one of his hands under my skirt.
At his words, all I could do was nod. Laughter was the last thing on my mind when I wanted the same thing he did. I spread my legs wider as he started to move his hand up my thighs. His fingers reached the top of my panties.
He growled when he felt my wetness.
I whimpered when he moved the cloth aside and stroked me. He inserted two fingers, gently parting my wet folds and then softly rubbing my clit.
“I need you,” I whined.
Nash pulled me off his bike, then turned me around and bent me over the seat. I laid there for a second as he pulled down his pants.
He pushed up my skirt, pulled my panties down, then thrust into me.
“Fuck,” I moaned in ecstasy.
Nash’s response was to fuck me harder and faster. My moans were all that could be heard for miles, and I didn’t care.
When I was getting close, I didn’t even have to tell him. He started to kiss the back of my neck, his pace changing and his strokes coming deeper and slower until I came with a low scream.
“Fucking perfect,” he whispered against the shell of my ear. “I wanted to bend you over since the moment you stepped foot in Crull Manor.”
“Why didn’t you?”
“Because I didn’t think your forever would include me.”
Chapter Twenty-Six
Finley turned around, and damn, she was fucking sexy. Her hair was tousled from where I had gripped it, her lips plump from my kisses and her eyes still glazed from the orgasm I had just given her. And her pussy was filled with my cum.
Now that was the meaning of fucking bliss. My girl, my bike, and the wide-open road.
“But now it does, so what are you going to do about that?” she smirked at me.
I pulled up my pants, and then I grabbed onto her cheeks and forced her to look up at me.
“We’re going to take over the world,” I vowed. With her at my side, I could take over the world; our empire was going to grow. My lips were about to meet hers when we got interrupted by the last person I would have thought would find us.
“So, it’s true.” My brother’s angry voice broke through my post-orgasm haze.
Both Finley and I turned around with shock on our faces as he stood there. My chest constricted when I looked at my perfect little brother. His face was harsh. There was an angry red burn on the side, and I knew more markings covered his body. His eyes though—fuck, I knew right then and there that he already hated me.
“You couldn’t consider marriage to me because you were too busy being Nashton’s whore!” he screamed at Finley.
She squared her jaw but didn’t say more.
“Don’t,” I said, stepping in front of Finley, coming between her and my brother.
Huxley took another step forward.
“Don’t what?” he spat. “Call her a whore? She was engaged to me, and she was fucking you the whole time. Did everyone know it, just not me?”
My body was vibrating with anger, but I didn’t want to hurt him more than he already was hurting. Pride was the worst sting of all; his burns were nothing to how he was feeling now.
“Tell me? Did Dad know?” His nostrils flared when we didn’t say anything. “Duncan?” He took another step forward until we were face-to-face. “The precious club.” He mocked the words, and when I didn’t deny it, he fucking lost it.
“Where the fuck is the loyalty!” he roared. His chest was heaving. He looked like he had just run a marathon.
My eyes were trained on him, and his on me, because it doesn’t matter that Finley didn’t want him. I’d still betrayed him. Huxley lunged at me. I could taste the anger that was rolling off him. It was lethal, and I staggered back when he threw the first punch.
The second one hurt like a bitch, and by the third one, all I did was defensive moves to minimize the blows. Huxley was so enraged he didn’t notice I wasn’t fighting back, or he just didn’t care.
Finley yelled at us to stop.
We didn’t.
He punched my gut, and I spat the blood that had pooled in my mouth from where he busted my lip.
“She was my girl!” he spat in my face as he punched me in the ribs.
“I love her,” I seethed as I pushed him back.
Huxley glared at me. He had so much anger and hate inside of him, and I was the easiest target.
“Please stop!” Finley screeched, but we ignored her.
“You love her?” Huxley mocked. I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand as I watched to see what he would do next. “So do I!” he roared. “I was going to marry her!” He grabbed me by the collar and punched my face.
I let my brother hit me again and again while Finley kept screaming at us to stop.
“Stop!” she yelled when Huxley had thrown me on the floor.
My chest was risin
g and falling. It felt like I was on fire from all the punches I had taken.
Huxley was breathing erratically.
Finley stepped in front of me.
“It was never going to be you,” she said, sounding enraged. “You want to know why? Because you’re weak, Huxley. Because you could never do what is asked of you without questioning it.”
I closed my eyes for a second.
She had just hurt Huxley worse than any blow I could have ever landed.
“The reason I picked you was because, even at ten, I knew I would never fall in love with you.”
My brother looked at me with so much hate in his gaze and then at Finley the same way.
He then turned around without another word and started to walk back the way he came from.
I got up and started to run after him.
“Hux,” I said, but he turned around and growled at me.
“I see where everyone’s loyalties lie. If it weren’t for that text message, I would have never known.”
I stood back a little dumbfounded, but then he ran into the woods. I figured I would give him time to cool off before I tried to talk to him again. What he felt for Finley didn’t come close to what I felt for her. If it had, I would have backed away, no questions asked.
Finley ran up to me as her gaze moved between both sides of the clearing.
“Nash,” she said, looking across the clearing where you could barely make out her mansion.
“Are you okay?” I said, taking a step toward her.
“Yeah,” she assured me as I wrapped her in my arms. She looked up at me and asked the question I hadn’t been able to ask myself yet. “What message?”
As soon as she said that, I looked across the clearing to where her house was supposed to be.
“Stay here,” I said, all but pushing her behind me.
“No.” She glared at me for even suggesting that.
She got on the back of my bike, and I took off for her parents’ house. It was on the other side of the clearing. Not as big as the manor, but it was still something. It was gorgeous, opulent, big, and forgotten.
The bike was barely parked when both of us jumped off and ran to the front door. It was locked, but that didn’t mean shit, so while Finley worked the keypad, I looked around but couldn’t find anything.
I sent a text to the guys just in case.
We ran inside the house. It was like her parents had never left. Finley stopped in the foyer, looking around the house.
It smelled like dust and old books—like a fallen empire.
I looked at my girl as she took it all in, and I was about to tell her that it wasn’t too late to keep the house, but she spoke before I could offer.
“All the happiest memories I have, I carry inside of me,” she said, touching her heart. “This house can stand, or it can break, but it won’t take away the memories.”
“I fucking love you, you know that, right?” I rubbed my thumb against her cheek.
She looked at my busted face and then at my ribs and nodded.
“Do you want to separa—”
“Fuck no,” I yelled at her. “I’m not risking it.”
She nodded, and together we took the stairs, going to check for the one person who could have told Huxley.
We searched the guest rooms, but there was nothing. They looked like they hadn’t been used in years—the same with the master bedroom.
We both stopped when we were at the entrance to her father’s office. I took a step in front of her and pushed her behind me as I opened the door.
At first, everything looked fine. I pulled out my gun just in case. I went to the bathroom while Finley made her way across the room.
When I opened the room, I noticed that this room didn’t look like it had been locked for ages. There were toilet paper and other toiletries.
“Nash,” Finley said. I turned around, but she was pointing to the space behind her father’s desk.
There was a small sleeping bag ruffled with a few blankets.
Anger flared through my veins.
“That son of a bitch,” I spat.
Then my eyes made it to the window in Micah’s office. It led to an outside balcony, and there was a state-of-the-art telescope.
I ran outside, and my chest heaved with what I saw.
“What better place to hide than our own backyard,” Finley said as she saw the telescope and binoculars.
Leon had been spying on us. I felt like a damn idiot for not thinking of looking here before today.
No one at the club had told Huxley about Finley and me because they cared too much about him to hurt him when he was recovering, but Leon wanted to push him over the edge.
I heard the roar of Harleys, but I ignored it as I took a look into the telescope, trying to see the last thing Leon saw.
It was a perfect view into the clearing, and I bet the fucker had seen me fuck Finley and then told Huxley all about it.
“He couldn’t have gotten far,” I said as I turned around, but Finley shook her head at me.
She was standing next to her father’s chess game, and there was a paper covered in droplets of blood.
Checkmate.
You may have won the battle, but after chaos comes a war.
Can you go against your own brother?
The door to the study opened, and my father, Gunner, and Nate walked in.
“Where’s Huxley?” I asked with fear setting in my gut.
“At the Manor?” my father said, taking the paper out of my hands. He didn’t understand, and he didn’t know what had gone down.
Nate saw something in my face, and he pulled his phone out and started to bark out orders.
“How did we fucking miss this?” my father said, ignoring the message but asking about Leon hiding under our own noses.
“He knows everything about us,” Finley said. “He’s our shadow. Our own nightmare.”
“He’s fucking gone,” Nate said. “Chops and Andre saw him leaving the house in one of his cars.”
“Fuck,” I screamed, angry at how it all had gone down. I grabbed the glass chess queen and slammed it against the wall.
“He knows. Huxley knows we all lied to him,” I said, and my father dropped the paper he held in his hands. It all made sense to him now.
I walked to Finley and pulled her close to me because I didn’t want her to feel like this was her fault.
Leon was close to Huxley, and he knew what he craved, what he wanted, and then waited until the last moment to play his biggest card of all.
We won the battle, but with Huxley at his side, he could win the war.
Finley
A Few Months Later
Do you know what happens after the dust from chaos settles? Peace. At least temporary peace because it’s hard to be at peace when you keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
“Baby.” Nash walked out of the shower with just a towel wrapped around his waist. Water droplets dripped down from his head and chest, making the V glisten and my mouth water.
He smirked when he saw me.
“Close your mouth, Fin, or I’ll put it to good use.”
I stuck my tongue out at him.
He shook his head and started to change. There was no time to fuck because we had a party to attend to.
Duncan took his vow today, and there would be a celebration here since the new clubhouse wasn’t ready yet.
Andre managed to track down one of the men who kidnapped us, and well, Duncan was all too happy to take the vow.
“We don’t have to go,” Nash said as he looked out the window to where I was staring.
After leaving my father’s office, we all looked for Huxley, but he was gone. There was no sign of him, and we knew that he would not be found until he was ready to come back or resurface again.
Sure enough, a few weeks ago, he was spotted in Mexico with Leon. By that point, we just didn’t speak of it, but we all knew we would cross that bridge when we came to it.
r /> Nash and I moved our things to the top floor, taking over my tower and the surrounding rooms, making it into a little penthouse. Something more private for when we didn’t want to go downstairs.
It looked like it would storm later tonight, and bad, but I wasn’t scared anymore.
“A little rain doesn’t scare me,” I told him.
His eyes went soft. He had his pants on and was strapping on the Glock. Damn, was my man sexy!
“Did you know Riley was moving in?” he questioned me as he went for his shirt.
“Yeah, I heard Ax threw a fit.”
He gave me a look that said I should have told him to have been prepared for WW3.
I got up, and his eyes raked all over me, from my curly brown hair with the now purple tips to the tiny black dress I wore and my combat boots.
“I swear to God, baby, you better not bend over.”
I rolled my eyes.
“Or what?”
Nash grinned, and it was dark, his eyes heated. “I’ll fuck you right then and there.”
I got shivers because I knew he wasn’t joking. The clubhouse was sometimes a step up from an orgy.
“Sounds good to me,” I said, making my way to him. He looked turned on by the idea. When I was close to him, I raised on my tiptoes and kissed his chin.
“Imagine how many of the brothers are going to imagine fucking me when they see me come.”
I bit my lip to stop myself from laughing. He did not like that at all. His hand snaked from my waist down to between my legs and cupped my pussy.
“I waited my whole life for this,” he whispered hoarsely. “You bet your ass I’d die before I let anyone else imagine how fucking sweet it is.”
Fucking swoon. And people said romance was dead.
“I love you, Nash,” I whispered against his lips.
He lifted me by my hips and threw me on the bed.
“The party can wait,” he said as he spread my legs and started to undo his belt. “I need to fuck.”
“Then take me,” I told him as I spread my legs even more.
I didn’t think I’d ever get used to having him and loving him so freely. The best type of love was the forbidden one because, in stolen moments, you knew the worth of that love. In stolen moments, you get a taste of a lifetime, and it was hard to compare anything after that.
