Chapter 15 Amara Reigns
Delilah felt the change in the walls. She had transformed what was once a beautiful family place to something else; it was now an ugly place to stay. The walls made every single thing in the house look tacky. As the changes continue, the wall began to uncover history. Delilah found the chronicles that documented what happened to her mother and read them. She learned about the final days of her mother's life and learned that because of Demelza, she lived today. Delilah did not feel a bit of remorse. She was more concerned about Sinister, and all the pain he could bring to the lands. In a way, she believes she could take on Sinister. After all, he was the one person who took her mother from her. She wondered if the tale was true. Sinister lived on land and when called transformed into an evil creature. Delilah felt it was her mission to discover who Sinister was. Delilah felt it was her duty, to avenge her death. Delilah came upon many discoveries. She was shocked to learn who Amara's father was. He was a true fairy and leader of the fairy army. Delilah felt even more envious of Amara. The more jealous she was, it never would explain her love for Amara. She had taken everything from her, and still she wanted more. Delilah went the huge castle, and she decided it needed changes. The more changes she made, the more history, was unveiled. She learned the source of all the magic was in a chest. Delilah remembered that her mother had given her a chest that was very small years ago. She remembers that same chest disappeared when her mother died. Delilah began to feel like she has unfinished business. Amara was still in the woods living freely, and she had not heard from Hale or Abbandon. Delilah quickly put herself together and left the huge dreadful castle. As she walked, she noticed the woods were becoming darker and darker like in the Chronicles. Delilah continued to walk, never for a second believing in daylight that Sinister would come for her. Delilah had an ego. She felt that she could kill Sinister. Delilah continued to walk, and it became darker and darker. Delilah stopped to look around in the darkness. She stared into the dark murky sky that was half lit with sunlight. Delilah turned around staring into the night turn to look over her shoulders. Delilah will not let this scare her. She knew that Sinister got is power from fear. "Sinister, I know you are here. Come out darling; I would love to chat with you" Delilah believed she had the upper hand. Sinister did not appear. Delilah walked around circles, pacing the area that was half lit with sunlight and darkness. Delilah walked around in circles until she grew tired. She felt that Sinister could feel he had no chance with her. So felt she reigned over him. She was the stronger, and he was the weaker. Delilah felt easy opponents were met and stronger opponents were not approached. Why wouldn't it come out, unless it felt it would meet its doom? Delilah walked into the darkness. It became darker and darker. She felt this crazy haze come over her. It was like she was paralyzed. As she looks in the night, she sees a tall figure in the dark. It was the ugliest thing to Delilah, and it scared her to death. It was like nothing she had ever seen before. It was not a beast like Amara or what Abbandon. It was not a werewolf. It was a creature that walked on its feet with long arms; it terrorized Delilah. Out of the darkness, a loud growl came from the deeper part of the woods. It seemed to have warned the creature away. The darkness faded, and so did the being. Delilah was out of breath; she could hardly stand. She was about to meet her end, but something in the woods saved her. Could it be Amara? Did Amara just save her from her from death? Delilah was in complete shock. She hurried back to the castle. Delilah approached the final path. She saw the darkness across the sky covering the castle. The darkness covered the building. She could not bring herself to go inside. She felt it was waiting for her, and she may have been safer in the woods. Delilah hears the screams of a woman and a man. She was paralyzed in fear. She once felt as powerful but knew that she was no match for Sinister. Delilah turned around and walked back into the woods. Leaving the horrid screams behind her. She was no hero. She was not meant to save anyone. Even if it was her father, that she loved so dearly. She knew she had to leave him. Delilah came up with an idea in her head. Delilah knew what she must do. She needed to make an alliance with Amara. Delilah felt it was Amara's screams that prevented Sinister from attacking. She was going to try to win Amara on her side. Hopefully, it wasn't too late.
Deeper into the Woods…..
Delilah walked as fast as she could. She did not care that those screams could have been her father. Her only worry was her own. As Delilah walked, She noticed had returned, and the darkness glides over her face. She turns around to see a flash of Sinister in the far part of the forest. He looks as if he were chasing her, but he was not running. Delilah went into her battle mode and fought her terror. She was no longer going to run like a weakling. As she turned, Amara comes fearlessly out of the woods. She pushes Delilah aside and lets out this huge roar. The roar was powerful it and true. She had learned that no matter who you are, you must stand up for what is right. Amara was taking her stand against Sinister. Delilah wondered, how did Amara know about Sinister? Delilah laid on the ground with her eyes on Sinister, as it walked its tall, lanky, snake-like body, closer and closer. Amara let out another huge roar of a growl. Sinister continues to walk closer and closer. Amara turns to look at Delilah as if she was thinking of leaving her helpless to Sinister. Amara could not do Delilah as Delilah had done her. Amara roared her final roar that was full of terror and strength. The darkness faded, but Delilah had closed her eyes and could not see. Amara turned and saw a terrified Delilah on the ground with her eyes closed. Amara walks off into the well-lit forest, back to the pond. Delilah opens her eyes and stands to brush the dirt and grass from her clothes. She looks around, and no sign of Amara or Sinister. Delilah was very curious as to why Amara decided to save her. Delilah was even more curious to know how Amara knew that Sinister had arrived. Delilah believed something was up, but she could not place her finger on it at that second.
Chapter 16: Amara discovered
Delilah followed the footsteps Amara left. Each step after step Delilah followed. She did not know what she would say to Amara. How would she explain? She was the cause of this all. She had brought the same evil as her mother. Delilah was stopped when she saw two colossal wolves. Delilah knew one had to be Abbandon. "Abbandon, are you here?" Delilah utters as if she was preparing to give orders. The two wolves both stood there gazing at Delilah. Delilah walks closer to the wolves, and one by one they start to growl. "Abbandon, you better find your manners" Delilah tries to command. It did not work; the wolves stood their ground. Delilah was upset and disappointed. She looked at each wolf carefully. She decided to respond "You can have your way. I mean Amara no harm. I am here to make a deal. If you help me, destroy that creature in the woods. I will return Amara into her old self. Goodness and all" Delilah yells out to the wolves as if they can hear her. In a flash of an eye, Amara appears as if she had never been turned into a beast. She walks in between the two wolves and stops. Amara was different; it was the water in the lake. "Amara!" Delilah was surprised. Amara had eaten from it before, but she was now one with the land. When Delilah killed Demelza, she did not know Amara would take her place. "How are you, Delilah? I have not seen you in many years" Amara replies. Delilah could not answer. The beauty of Amara was more than it had ever been. "I heard you want to make a deal with me. You believe you can help. I don't need your help." Amara says to Delilah. Delilah was embarrassed. She stood for a minute and thought over her next few words "Amara, I am sorry for all the pain I caused you." Delilah was interrupted. "Delilah you are not sorry. You are worried. You are concerned about Sinister. He is a trickster, so I have heard. Then again so are. You two deserve each other, but I was not going to allow him to cheat as he did before, when he killed your mother and my father" Amara had tears in the eyes of anger. Amara now knew why her father was killed. He died protection the ones he loved. Amara believed that she was to do the same thing. "Cheat? What do you mean?" Delilah says as she walks closer to Amara. "Please stop there, you are not welcome in this part of the woods. If you come
any closer I cannot protect you" Amara pauses wiping the tears from her face. The memory of her father was in her mind; now she knew so much more. Amara continued "Sinister arrived early that day. He came in to prevent your mother, Peeva from signing the treaty. He was so angry that someone would defy and abuse knowing the consequences, which he did not fear his own. He was created by our ancestors to establish order; he made his orders. He kills as he pleases breaking all the rules. When you killed Demelza, I was awarded her powers and her memory. I can see what she saw, and so what she did. The other half of her went into Sinister. He and I are connected" Amara was holding something back. Delilah knew she had no upper hand over Amara anymore. All this time, she tried to take away from her, and all she was doing was giving her more to be blessed. "I forgive you Delilah, and even if you deserve doom. I will not allow what is not fair" Amara spoke in a way a wise woman would, so mature and centered. Delilah could not stand the fact that Amara was so beautiful and strong. "You speak as if you are Queen over these lands. I am Queen! I decide what is fair." Delilah had a big ego, and she did not see herself losing to Amara. She felt Amara was under her, not above her. "Amara do you hear me. I am Queen; no one is above me. Especially one who is crawling and digging around in the forest. You will obey me, or I will turn you into dust as I did with Demelza" Delilah spoke firmly and rude. Giving out her commands as if she deserved to have Amara as her slave. Amara looked at Delilah and smiled. She turned around to walk away, as the two wolves stayed put. "Do not walk away from me!" Delilah continued. Amara stopped. She was granted Demelza powers by the elders to protect the lands, not Delilah. Amara was no longer in fear of losing anyone she loved. She was one with her inner beast. Amara turned around and walked back to stand back next to the wolves. "Delilah, you have brought this all on yourself. I will help protect the land, but you have granted Sinister access to take your flesh because you wanted to be in control. You wanted all that I had, my life, my love, the man I loved. You took it, not to fault you completely. Most of which I would have given you. You were my friend and most of all my sister. Blood or not I loved you. You used magic on your father, my mother, and sister. You went too far. I say these words to you, Delilah because I know you will not understand it any other way. Sinister is your problem now. I take orders from no one, especially a made up Queen!" Delilah wiped her face; she was covered in sweat. She was all alone. Sinister would come for her, just as he did her mother. Delilah felt if you was going to go out. She was taking others with her, including Amara. Delilah left Amara standing in between the two giant wolves. Delilah had another plan. She knew she needed to figure out a way to kill Amara. If Amara would not help her, she did not deserve to live in Delilah's mind. Amara changed back into the Ogre; she was so depressed to be before. Amara knew that who she did not change based on her outer appearance. Who Amara is, and was is the inside. As Amara was standing in the lake preparing to fight a large wolf. She was driven by the fear of hurting someone. Amara has such a beautiful soul that she was awarded by the Elders an extraordinary power. She discovered Demelza's powers did not cause this change. Amara felt she was her own strength, and she was right. Amara was sent half of Demelza's powers; sadly the other half was sent to Sinister. The Elders saw the predicted images that Demelza would be killed. They knew that Amara could be a protector. Hale was sent to help Amara, but he was sent by the Elders to protect her. Loki's bite turned him into a wolf and made him a beta in Hale's pack. They were all meant to be in each other's path. When Abbandon bit Loki, it was all part of the elder's plan. They knew what would happen once Loki found Amara in the pond. They knew he would sense who she was, and learn more about who he was. The elders predicted many things, but they could not predict Sinister. Sinister had become unpredictable. Something they had created from a series of dark magical practices, is now their worst nightmare. He would come and go as he pleased. Killing the abusers with no warning, trying to kill the whole family, including some who were innocent. The elders knew that something had to be done. They knew Amara had not used magic; she was pure and good at heart. They needed someone who was pure at heart to fight. She was the last of her kind; pure at heart, pure to the soul, and magical to the woods. Amara had the power in her all along, but she needed a teacher. Demelza felt she could fight this endless battle; she had grown tired of the battles with Sinister. She just could not fight him anymore. Before Demelza came to her untimely end, she asked the elders if she were to depart, that her powers be sent to the one who had been chosen to lead and protect after her death. Supreme was the chosen before Amara from his family. Now Amara was selected from her family. Who Amara was, did not matter. She was the Queen of the fairies that was all that mattered now.
Chapter 17: Where is Abbandon?
Delilah felt she had nowhere to go. She did not feel the palace was safe since it was surrounded by darkness, and screams of her stepmother and father. Delilah, who once never feared a human being, was terrified of her demise. A death she brought upon herself. Delilah knew that if she headed to town and convinced the people of the common lands that there was a Huge Ogre ready to prey on their wives and children. She knew that King George would be happy to assist. Delilah was convinced that her treacherous behavior would not be spotted. Delilah head to the town, as she walks in with no horse, no carriage, and no one to escort her. She notices the angry stares of all of the town's people. She wondered if they all remembered when she tried to kill them. She knew using magic would not help under this condition, and she had just witnessed Amara changing from beast to human. Delilah felt using magic would only shorten her advantage list, she was like her mother, charming and sweet. Not many were fond of Delilah, because of the reputation she made for herself. Delilah was known by the people of the common lands as rude, self-centered, and deceitful. They were right about her, but Delilah felt she could magically persuade any man she approached. Delilah had her mind set on King George, and she was about the walk into victory against Amara. Delilah decided to cause a scene in the middle of the streets. She screamed "There is a beast in the woods! It had killed my stepmother and my father!" The people of the common lands stood in shock, some coming to the aid of Delilah. "What happened?" screaming common landers. They all could not seem to find a more calming tone. Delilah knew now was her chance to request for King George. She was granted her request by a guard standing in monitoring the people. He walked the seemingly devastated Delilah into the palace. She was weeping and making these loud noises. Delilah knew her dramatics would get her into to see the King. The guard was annoyed he rushed her into the meeting area, where Delilah was greeted by an old friend of her mother's. "Hello, Darling, what troubles you?" the gentle voice asked Delilah. Delilah who had her head down lifts up her head to begin her story. "My name is Delilah Bash, daughter of Abbe and Peeva Bash." The room was silenced. Delilah looked at the woman with a gentle voice and saw her eyes fill with grief. Delilah wondered if it were for herself. Delilah sees King George seated in front of her, and she, who was overly conceded bowed in front of him. The king notices his mother's Georgianna's grief. "Mother would you so kindly stand here by me" pleased King George. His mother who was still suffering the loss of her King walked to be next to her song. Queen Milla was seated next to her husband with a very awkward smile. Queen Milla was an exquisite dark beauty, who could not show her politeness toward everyone. King George stands to his feet and walks to Delilah, "You say, you are Delilah Bash. The same bloodline of Peeva Bash, right? Peeva Bash, who was slaughtered to death by a creature or some legends insist a beast in the woods. Your mother was an evil soul. She deserved her death, not the innocent. She took so much from the people of the common lands. You stand here wanting to protect them from a beast, a beast which I believe killed the worst thing that walked these lands, and how dare you come here pleading? You have been creating your kingdom in the woods, go back there and die!" Delilah was beaten to her soul, how could King George disgrace her like that? She was Delilah, and she was to be respected. Delilah
knew that using magic on the King would more trouble than she can handle. Considering her mother had killed his father many years ago, she knew it would not make her standing with the royal family any better. Delilah decided to leave the meeting area of the royal palace and retreat to her palace. As she walked through the woods, she could feel a familiar presence. She could smell a familiar smell. She knew it was Abbandon, but she wanted to continue on her journey. She walked and walked. The sky around her became darker and darker. No lit sky of blue with the sun. There was only darkness. Delilah continued to walk and walk. She hoped if Sinister appeared again, Abbandon would come to her rescue. As the smell got even stronger, she recognized it as a scent reminded her of Abbandon, but also reminded her of Sinister. She had not noticed it before, but now it was apparently clear. When Delilah turned around, she was face to face with Abbandon, as he was before she turned him into a half man half beast. Delilah could not believe it with her own eyes. Abbandon was slowly transforming to the Sinister in her eyes, and she felt betrayed. "Abbandon, why? Don't you love me?" she cries as she watches her one true friend turn into the very creature that was sent to kill her. Abbandon stops and looks at Delilah in her eyes. "I do love you, Delilah, but you did this to me. The real Sinister is I. I would be summoned if there was human blood or fairy blood harmed by magic. You made me enjoy the pleasures of misbehaving. Until you changed me into something, I had no control over. I was your slave. I did whatever you wished. When I went to meet Demelza in her little cabin, I knew who she was. I wanted to know more, but Amara's protector changed me into a werewolf. Do you know how he had the power to change from human to dog? Your mother. She ruled these lands with magic. I had to kill her. I need to kill you, but I loved you. I needed you to be my friend, but you betrayed me!" Abbandon conflicted with his thoughts. Sinister is glaring at Delilah. Delilah immediately has a feeling of turpitude. Delilah was speechless. She felt betrayed, but now she was aware the only reason Abbadon was in her life. He was there to watch her so that he could kill her. "All this time Abbandon, you were with me. You were here to kill me. You feel betrayed. I am the one who is betrayed." screaming Delilah. Her screams fill the woods with echoes. She knew her fate had come, but she was not willing to go without a fight. Delilah tears her clothes, preparing for battle. She feels there is no magic in her. She is overwhelmed by fear, so she dashes off into the darkness. Abbandon fully transformed into Sinister behind her, walking but keeping up with her every step.
