Finding Hope (Satan's Sinners MC Book 7)
Page 10
"I found the fucking rat." Drifter drops the unconscious body on the floor.
I look down, and my stomach jumps into my throat. "How do you know?" I hiss.
Drifter pulls a burner phone out of his pocket and throws it down on the table. "I heard him on this phone with Deuce."
"Goddamnit!" Gunner slams his fist on the table.
Drifter tips his head toward the phone. "Check the phone."
Bear grabs it from the table and opens the flip phone. He looks at the caller id. "Same number for every call. The area code is in Texas."
I tell Bear, "Go and get Hacker to track the number. Tell Hunter he's making a trip to Texas."
Gunner asks, "What do you want to do with him, Hanger?"
"Let's take him to the shed, wait for him to wake up, and see what he has to say." Walking over, I take one of his arms and Drifter takes the other as we drag him outside of the clubhouse and into the shed.
He begins to wake and tries to fight against our hold on him. "Let me go!" He shouts.
But he's not strong enough to break free. We sit him in the chair, the same chair we had Tinsley in.
"Your name always meant you could hide in the shadows. But to be a fucking traitor?!" I scream in his face as spit flies from my mouth. “You let us sit a fucking woman in this chair and accuse her! You would have let us kill her. You had my best fucking friend, you’re fucking vice president, and his ol’ lady gunned down! You set that bomb and blew my fucking clubhouse to goddamn ashes.” My fist rears back, and it lands against his jaw.
He spits blood from his mouth. "You being President of this club has made it go to shit. All you pussy whipped motherfuckers only want to protect those cunts you call ol' ladies. We stopped being a club long ago," He spews his bullshit.
My fist lands against his jaw again, and I reach up to grab the chains that are hanging. I wrap one around each of his wrists and hook them into the links. Stepping toward the crank, I begin lifting him into the air. I don’t even flinch or have a second thought as the sound of snapping bones fills the quiet shed. He screams out in pain as his arms hang behind his back and his body slumps forward.
"We loved you as a brother, Ghost, but now you'll die by our hands. You'll meet with Satan himself soon." Drifter and I walk out of the shed leaving our traitorous brother hanging.
"What now?" Drifter questions.
"Now we gather our brothers, and you see what the Satan’s Sinners are made of. If you can handle it, then you’ll gain your patch. Good job, brother." I slap him on the back and go to find Bear.
I storm into the Reaper's clubhouse and find Gritt at the bar. "I need your help."
“Sure." His brows knit, but he downs the last of his whiskey and slams the glass on the counter before standing. He leads the way to their chapel. "What do you need?" He asks after the door is shut behind us.
"Last night we found where they're keeping all of the babies. It's an underground orphanage at the St. James Catholic Church. Sister Abigail, one of the nuns who was helping us, told me to bring Tinsley back today. When we got there, the orphanage was cleared out and Sister Abigail was dead. Someone cut her fucking tongue out and left a note."
"Christ." He blows out a breath and sits down in one of the chairs. "What do you need from me?"
"I need you to get some of your guys and see if you can find out where they would have taken the children."
Gritt shakes his head, running a hand down his face. "Will do. Why are they trying to keep this little girl away from your woman so bad?"
"I don't know, but I need to go pay Richie another visit."
"I'll call if I have any leads for you."
"Thanks, Gritt."
"No problem. I hope she gets her little girl."
"She will. I'll make damn sure of it." I hit my knuckles on the table and leave.
Gathering with my brothers, I give them an update on what happened, and we ride back to Richie's. With no luck at his apartment, we ride to the hospital.
We find Samantha sitting behind the nurses’ desk on the fifth floor. "You're coming with us," I demand as I charge toward her. Grasping one of her arms in my tight hold, I forcefully lead Samantha out to the van and throw her into the back. We ride out to the middle of nowhere surrounded by desert, a place no one will hear her screams for miles.
I open the back of the van, and she scrambles to her knees. "Please, let me go!" She begs as tears fall down her cheeks.
"I can't do that. Tell me, Samantha, who did you call?"
She shakes her head frantically. "I didn't call anyone, I swear."
I pull my gun and point it at her. "How old is your son?"
She cries harder. "He would have been in his twenties now, but he died."
"You've been part of this ring for the last ten years or so, and you continued after your son died? Taking babies from their mothers, how did you feel when your son was taken from you?" She doesn't need to answer because I can see the grimace on her face. "We found the orphanage, but someone found out we were there. They cleared it out, and now we have to start all fucking over looking for Tinsley's little girl! Who did you tell?"
"No one!" She screams.
"Okay." I nod. "I believe you. Tell you what, Samantha, I'm going to let you go."
Her tears dry up, and she appears hopeful. “You are?”
I give her a grin. "Yeah. You can go. Get out of the van and run." She scurries out and takes off as fast as she can, but I pull my gun and take aim. The bullet hits her in the back of the head, and blood sprays out. She falls to the ground. She lied and wasn't going to tell the truth. It was only fair that I lie too.
Demon laughs while quoting one of his favorite songs, “Let the bodies hit the floor.”
"Let's get her buried, and then we’ll wait for Richie," I tell my brothers as I step into the back of the van and grab the shovels we brought with us.
A few hours later, we’re sitting outside of the apartment building waiting for Richie to arrive, but he never does. Pulling my phone out of my pocket, I send a text to Hacker.
Me: I need you to look into Richie. We had to pay him another visit, but it looks like he’s disappeared.
Hacker: On it.
Putting my phone away, I sigh in disappointment at not being able to kill the son of a bitch. All in due time. “I think we should do round the clock surveillance until he either returns or Hacker finds him. We can each take shifts.”
“You got it.” Demon gives me a simple nod and the others give their nod of agreement.
“Let’s ride.” We head back to the compound.
When we pull into the gate, Gritt comes out of the clubhouse. After parking my bike, I walk over to meet with him. “You got news for me?”
“Not yet. I need more information because my guys are coming up empty. I’m thinking this is some fucking organized shit going on. It doesn’t sit well with me that it’s happening in my city.”
“It’s definitely organized.” I look up at the night sky and feel defeated right now. We have no place to go from here unless I hear back from Hacker or Richie turns up. I tell him everything we know, and he appears even less thrilled than before.
Leaving Gritt still in the dark, I trek over to the apartment, and when I get inside, Tinsley’s already asleep. I quietly go into the bathroom and wash away the day.
"He's here," Demon announces. It’s been almost a month since we arrived in Arizona and two weeks since we first started looking for Richie. The sneaky bastard was hiding out, but I guess he felt like he was in the clear. Opening the back of the van, I run for him. "Richie, I was really hoping I wouldn't have to see your face again. And since you’ve been hiding, you’ve made me very unhappy having to wait for you to show up." My brothers come up and flank me. "Let's go inside the van and have a nice little chat. You were real clever leaving no trace for us to find you, but not clever enough. And I’m a patient man, as you can see."
Gripping his arm tightly, I drag him over to the van and pu
sh him inside before the rest of us get in.
"What do you want?" He asks from his laid-out position.
I glare at him. "I want answers, Richie."
"I told you everything I know."
"I don't think you did." The van pulls away. "Who found out we were at the orphanage?"
He shakes his head frantically. "I swear, I don't know."
"Why are they trying to hide the children?"
"I don't know."
I sigh heavily. "I'm about tired of hearing that." I pull my blade out of its sheath. "Why did the nun get killed for talking?"
"Please, let me go! I told you everything I know," He begins to beg.
I lean in closely. My eyes searching his. "You're lying to me, Richie."
The van pulls over at the same spot we used before. The same spot where we buried Samantha a couple weeks ago. Opening the back of the van, I pull Richie along with me, and we walk to the extra hole we dug. “Grab the shovels,” I yell to my brothers because the hole is no longer deep enough from the wind blowing the sand back in. It doesn’t take long for Chayser and Bam Bam to get it the size we need once again.
I start to push him inside, but he begins fighting against my hold. With Demon’s help, we are finally able to throw him down into his grave. Chayser and Bam, who were still holding onto the shovels, begin hurling the sand and dirt back into the hole, covering Richie until only his head is sticking out. "You have one last chance, Richie. Tell me what you know."
"Will you unbury me?" His breaths are heavy from the weight on his chest.
"Yeah, sure we will. Tell you what, we'll even drive you home and let you move on with your life. None of this will have ever happened." I give him a false sense of security.
"Ok. Fine." He grimaces in pain. "It's all part of the Cortez Cartel. Ronaldo was only a part of the operation. The children that haven't been sold are being taken care of until they are old enough to be groomed."
My stomach rolls. "Groomed for what?"
His eyes close. "Sex trafficking."
"Christ!" I grit through my teeth, "Your daughter and all of those other kids?"
He nods slightly.
Demon charges and his leg rears back. “You, motherfucker!” Demon roars, his steel-toed boot connecting with Richie's jaw. Blood spurts out of Richie’s mouth.
"Where are they?"
Richie spits out the blood from his mouth. His jaw is already swelling. "I don't know how they found out you were looking for the girl. I swear, I didn't tell them, but I got a call a couple weeks ago, and we started moving them. They're at the old schoolhouse outside of town. Head west and it’s a few miles past the city limits."
Taking the shovel from Chayser, I begin to cover his head.
"You said you'd let me go!" He screams.
"I lied." I dump more of the dirt and sand mixture on top of him he begins to spit as his mouth fills. He continues to scream until he can no longer be heard. Completely buried under, it won't take long until his airway closes and his lungs can no longer get the air they crave, and he will die a slow, suffocating, painful death.
"This is bigger and more fucked up than we thought," Bam Bam grunts.
I nod in agreement. "Yeah, I'll give Hanger the update. I can't put my head around what kind of sick bastards would do this to kids."
"I have an idea." Demon turns and walks away, leaving us standing there. We’re still stunned by the revelation as to why they are keeping the children hidden.
It's well into the night, and we decide it’s time to call it a wrap for today. We ride back to the compound, and when I walk inside the apartment, I head straight for the shower. I’m not prepared to explain to Tinsley what we found out. How do you tell someone their two-year-old daughter is being kept for sick disgusting men to have sex with her?
Outlaws are supposed to be the bad guys, right? Why do I feel like we're the only good in this fucking world right now? I place my hands against the shower wall and close my eyes as the water runs over me. Soon, I feel Tinsley's arms wrap around my waist.
Grabbing her soap, I pour some into the palm of my hand and turn to face her. I lay my hands flat over her heavy tits, feeling the tightness of her nipples against my palms. I start to massage her flesh and work my way down to her stomach, coating her naked body with the soapy lather.
Bending my knees, I move down to her pussy, and even further down her legs to her feet. Standing back up, I reach for the removable shower head and rinse the soap off of her. Saving her pussy for last, I press her inner-thighs with my free hand so that she steps out, and use my fingers to spread her lower lips open.
She gasps as the hot water hits her clit, but she opens wider, and my eyes stay glued to her face as her mouth parts, and quiet moans slip free. It only takes a couple of minutes for her orbs to turn hazy and her body to begin shaking until she comes so fucking beautifully.
Replacing the showerhead, I grip her hips and lift her up for her wrap her legs around my waist. I step forward until her back hits the shower wall, and I reach down with one hand to line myself up before driving so fucking deep inside of her. Grabbing her thigh once again, I hold her sturdy as my rhythm begins. Our wet bodies slap against each other with each rough stroke I deliver.
"You feel so good!" She whimpers with her head tilted back, resting on the wall.
"Fuck, yeah!" Setting her back on her feet, I spin her around and bend her forward to impale her once again. Her hands press against the wall, and she uses her strength to push back, meeting me stroke for stroke. I love watching her ass bounce, and I love that she can take everything I give and keeps coming back for more.
My thighs begin to tighten and my spine tingles as my orgasm grows swiftly. "So fucking good!" I roar as my release rips from my body, filling her with my hot seed.
Taking a few deep breaths, I slowly pull out and help her spin around. My lips press against hers in a chaste kiss.
"Let's finish up here and get to the bed. I'm not done with you yet."
Both of us quickly wash off, and she hops out of the shower first. "I'm ready." She smiles and saunters her ass out of the bathroom. Grinning to myself, I wonder if there will ever come a time when I'll have enough of her. Nah, I don't think so.
Romeo hasn't told me where we're going, but he's speeding through the streets of Phoenix like he's racing against time. Wherever it is we’re going, it has to be a big lead because he wouldn’t bring me for nothing. And not only is it us, but it’s all of his brothers and Gritt’s club as well.
We hit the outskirts of the city, and finally, he begins to slow down to turn. About a mile down, what looks like an old schoolhouse comes into view. We park along the side of the road, and the guys surround me as if they are guarding me from something. We continue making our way up the gravel path to the front door. As we enter, I hear the faint sounds of children laughing and babies crying.
We stroll through the first room and into the second, and it's filled with nuns and children.
"Romeo?" I question as tears instantly sting my eyes.
"Hey, Sisters," Romeo shouts above the noise to get their attention. Everyone quiets down except for the babies. "We're here looking for a little girl."
"No!" One of the Sisters stands with a newborn in her arms, her glare directed at Romeo. “I remember you. You are the reason we had to move. Where is Sister Abigail? Those men, they took her while the rest moved us and the children into vans."
"She's dead," He announces and the gasps are loud throughout the space. The nuns cover their mouths. "You are all Sisters of God, yes?"
They nod. "Then do you know what you are doing with these children?"
"Yes." Another nun steps forward, nodding her covered head. "We are taking care of them until families come for them."
Gritt’s deep voice resonates over the commotion, "That’s what you've been told, but you've been lied to. The men that brought these children to you are bad men. Evil men."
"You are evil yourself, correct?"
She glances at their cuts.
He smirks at the young woman. "We do what we have to in order protect our own. They killed Sister Abigail because she was helping my brothers here.” His thumb roams around each of the Sinners. “These men who brought you here, who supplied you with food, water, and beds to sleep in have no intention of placing these babies with families.”
The young nun steps closer. “What do you mean?”
His hard eyes stare into her innocent ones. “They’re going to be used for sex."
My own gasp falls from my lips, and my stomach rolls with nausea. Romeo takes my hand, grasping it tightly in silent comfort before raising our joined hands in the air. "This is Tinsley, and her daughter was taken from her two years ago. We need to know if you have her."
A third nun stands. "We do. Sister Abigail confided in me before the men came and moved us. She walks over to a little dark-haired girl, picks her up, and approaches us. "We have named her Rebecca."
I look at my daughter as tears blur my vision. She has the same eyes as me, and long, dark brown hair. She's beautiful. I hold my shaking arms out as my heart races and my pulse pounds. She comes to me willingly. Sobs rack my body as I kiss her cheek over and over. Her eyes meet mine, and she looks at me quizzically. "Hi. I'm your mommy." She lays her head on my shoulder and tightens her hold on me. It’s as if she knows. My heart is instantly filled and complete. "Thank you," I tell the nun as I cry harder. I glance at Romeo. "What about the rest of them? We can't just leave them here."
"I know." He pulls out his phone and is about to make a call, but Gritt interrupts.
“We’ll take care of it.”
Romeo dips his head. "Thank you.”
We hurry out of the schoolhouse, and Romeo helps me climb into the back of the van with Hope in my arms.
"Pretty Boy will take you back to Santa Rosa, and I’ll meet you there."
I nod with a beaming smile. "I'm ready to go home."
“Fuck, me too.” He blows out a breath. I’m sure he’s just as happy as I am that this is over. He fists the back of my hair and smashes his lips against mine. His forehead touches mine. “I’ll see you soon.” His attention goes to my daughter, and he runs his thumb across her cheek. “I’m glad we finally found you, Hope.” Tears pool in my eyes as he gives us both one last lingering look before shutting the van door.
