“Momma is something wrong?” Kathy asked.
“No honey nothing is wrong, why do you ask?” I asked.
“I just don't remember you being so scared before,” she said.
“Scared? Kathy why do you think I'm scared?” I asked.
“I don't know, it just feels like you are,” she said.
I hadn't heard from their father in over a week and the last report General Talbot gave was his whole company was lost. If he was dead I would know, we had a link that went well beyond anything anyone else could understand and I knew he was alive.
“I'm just worried, not scared. I hoped to hear from dad by now,” I said.
“He needs your help doesn't he?” Nicole asked.
“I don't know Nicole, all I know right now is he is alive,” I said.
