Made For Each Other

  "You see, Harmony is my fiancee and she's been feeling sick, so I want to stay closer to her." He replied and the teacher went to take his seat. "Fiancee?" I gave him a look. "Don't worry baby girl, I'll give you a ring pop." He replied while wiggling his eyebrows. I couldn't help but laugh.

  "I love you, fiancé." I placed a soft kiss on his lips. "That actually sounds nice." He smiled while interlacing our fingers, I laid my head on his shoulder. After lunch was over we went to the bridge of sighs. Venice is so beautiful.

  "Couples believe that if they kiss while drifting under the bridge at sunset, as the bells of St Mark's Campanile ring out, they will enjoy eternal love and happiness." He said while wrapping his arms around my waist as we enjoyed the beautiful sight.

  "Really? Maybe we should try that tomorrow." I turned around and crashed my lips against his. "How about I show you how much I love you." He said in a husky voice. "I say yes, let's go while the group is distracted." I grabbed his hand and rushed to the hotel, we made love like crazy, which was the perks of having your boyfriend as a chaperone. We went for another round and then he went to his room so no one would caught us.

  The next day we got ready and grabbed breakfast with the group. After that we went our separate ways. Donna and her boyfriend joined us in our escape from the group.

  "Finally, can't wait to graduate." She sighed. “I agree. Now how about we go ride the gondolas." I suggested. "Ohh, I'm on board, but let's do it at sunset. I want to do what couples used to do to make their love eternal." She said excited.

  "I agree. So how about we go check the St Mark's Basilica." Matt suggested and we all nodded. Venice was truly beautiful. After checking out some places, we went to ride the gondolas, it was sunset and just like the story he told me, we kissed under the bridge.

  "I never thought I would find a love like this, then you came into my life and showed me what love truly is. I'm so in love with you, baby girl." He said while caressing my face. "I love you more, you're my world and I'm beyond happy to have you in my life, babe." I pulled him into a sweet kiss. "you and me forever." I said while giving him an Eskimo kiss.

  "You and I forever,” he smiled. The rest of the trip was good. After Venice we went to Rome. One word, gorgeous. This was a great trip, I had my boyfriend and my best friend with me. We also got in trouble for sneaking out of the tour. We didn't care, in Matt's words, We were making memories. And we did. Exploring the city by ourselves was so much better. This is what happens when Shawn and Donna get together and drag you to their crazy ways. It was a trip we would always remember.

  Chapter 22

  Disney

  Time went by and I was finally free from high school. Next year I'm going to study to become a kindergarten teacher. And I also got a scholarship, I was over the moon when they gave it to me. I was still working at the bakery, gotta pay for bills. Shawn was working in a pet clinic. I would spend the weekends at his place, or he would spend it at my place. We gave each other keys to our houses.

  It was ten pm now, I was in his room watching TV. He had a late class today. I ended up falling asleep. I had to wake up early for work. I woke up the next morning and saw him sleeping. I pecked his lips and went to do my daily routine and then made breakfast. I left him a note saying I went to work and that breakfast was on the table. It feels so great knowing I don't have to deal with high school and the queen bee and her minions.

  "Aww, you can't even enjoy your free time cause you have to work, such a sad pathetic life." Queen Bee said while laughing. You would think I’m back in high school.

  "Grow up, we're not in high school anymore. This attitude of yours will only cause you to have a lonely life, I mean your minions are going to move to another city. And then it's just you, all by yourself with no one by your side." I replied leaving her speechless. It so happens her minions are twins and are moving far away. "Do you think anyone will tolerate your attitude in bossing them. No, this is the real world. Start changing." She didn't say anything, she just stormed out. "You two, why do you keep letting her boss you around?" They just look at each other. "Just a friendly advice, be nice to people, you'd be surprised what that can do to you." I smiled.

  "Thanks." They smiled, and then ordered some cupcakes and went to take a seat. They needed to get away from that crazy bee, she was nothing but a toxic person. She will find out that the real world won't be her high school.

  After my shift was over I went home. Took a shower and laid on my bed. Lucky it was Friday. I ended up falling asleep. I also had to buy the airplane tickets to fly to Florida to celebrate Emma's fifth birthday in Disney. I was also excited, I've never been to Disney.

  Two weeks later

  "Sissyyyyy, wake up today because we're flying to Disney, eeiikkk,” She squealed and I had no choice but pulled her into a big Bear hug. "Munchkin, Disney is tomorrow. Today we're jut gonna fly and get settled." I pinched her cheeks. "I know, but I'm going to fly on a plane, I'm so excited." She giggled.

  "True, now let's get your suitcase and mine ready." I said while getting up. Our flight was at five pm, and right now It was only nine am. We went to grab breakfast, dad got his suitcase ready. Emma invited Victoria, Trisha, Donna and Shawn to her birthday. They said yes, well Donna couldn't come cause she was going on a romantic trip with Matt. But she made sure to send Emma a birthday present. After breakfast there was knock on the door I went to open it and it was a big box. I took it to the living room and it had Emma's name, I called her and told her this was a present from Donna. It was a Barbie doll house. She was squealing like crazy.

  It was now four pm and we were waiting for our flight. Emma was singing that she was going to meet Mickey. After another hour we started to board the plane. Emma sat with me and Shawn. Victoria sat with dad. After our flight, we landed in Orlando. We rented a car and made our way to the house. Renting a house was cheaper than staying at a hotel. It was a house with three rooms. Victoria was gonna sleep with Emma and Shawn and I would sleep in another one. Tomorrow was Emma's birthday. That's why we decided to fly a day before.

  "I miss Trisha, why did she had to go to Europe?" Victoria plopped on the couch. "Cause her sister is getting married." I chuckled, she just sighed.

  "There's always FaceTime, Plus we're gonna be here for five days filled with so much fun." Shawn chimed in. One park wasn't enough, so I suggested maybe five. It will be a while before we come back, so we might as well add more while we're here.

  Night came and everyone went to sleep. It was gonna be a long day tomorrow. "Are you tired?" Shawn asked while kissing my neck. "A little,” I giggled.

  "Are you up for some little fun." He said while removing my top. "A little fun won't hurt anyone." And before we knew it, clothes were off and we went at it like crazy. I seriously hope the walls are soundproofed cause if not, It will be very awkward.

  The next day we got ready, grabbed breakfast. We sang happy birthday to Emma and she was very happy. After that we made our way to Magic Kingdom. As soon as we entered the park, Emma started to cry. "What's wrong, munchkin?" I asked while picking her up.

  "This has always been my dream, and now it came true. I though I was gonna die and never come here." She was a crying mess. Dad grabbed her and hugged her till she calmed down. It was normal for her to be very emotional, She went through hell to get here. And I ended up crying too, dad also pulled me into a hug. The three of us have been through hell. But we're in a better place now. After our emotional moment, we got better and went to the rides.

  Shawn dragged me to get on the big rides. I was scared at first, but they were actually pretty great. We went to the kiddies rides too. She was squealing when she saw Belle. This is a big park, I was extremely tired. I just wanted to go back to the house and sleep. Victoria dad and Emma went to the carousel. Shawn and I went to eat cupcakes, we needed a break from the rides. We sat on a bench and started to eat.

  "I love you." He said before placing a kiss on my lips. "I love you too." I smiled against his lips. "So,
I figured a cool place like Disney would be the perfect place to give you this." He showed me a black box and told me to open it. As soon as I did that I was shocked.

  "Shawn?"

  "It's not an engagement ring. It's a promise ring. Baby girl. I've never felt this way about anyone. And this ring is a promise that when the time is right I'll replace it with an engagement one. I want you forever, you drive me crazy and I’m so glad you're in my life. And you're someone I don't want to let go. So, do you accept it?"

  "Of course." I smiled as tears of joy were falling. "I love you so much." I pulled him into a kiss. He slid the ring on my finger, It was so beautiful, this felt like a dream. So I pinched him.

  "Ouch, what was that for?"

  "Making sure this was real." I chuckled.

  "Try the other way around." He replied while rubbing his arm. "I don't feel like pinching myself." I laughed. He just shook his head.

  "When we go back to LA I want to talk to you about something. Don't worry is not bad.” He said while interlacing our fingers.

  "Okay, then how about we go to splash mountain again." I smiled. "I'm on board." He said while getting up and interlaced our fingers as we walked to the ride. It turned out to be a great day. I was just curious what Shawn wanted to talk to me about. Guess I'll find out next week. Hopefully nothing bad happens.

  Chapter 23

  Good News, Bad News

  After our days in Disney, we returned home. I was happy I could make Emma's wish come true. Shawn was on his way to talk to me. I really hope it's not something bad. The doorbell rang and I went to open it. He gave me a kiss and made his way inside the house. We went to my room to talk.

  "So, you have me on the edge, what's this you want to talk about?”

  "Well, I just got the chance of a lifetime , one of my best friends lives in Spain and told me about this vet school. It's only for a year, but baby girl, this school is amazing it's so big and it's a dream come true."

  "So you're leaving for a year." I said as my voice started to break. "You can come with me. You don't start college till next year."

  "I can't leave, Emma is still little, I still got my job And-" I paused.

  "What?" He asked confused.

  “It’s nothing. I want you to have a great year in Spain,” I said while fighting the tears. "This is a great opportunity for me, baby girl. I want you to be there with me."

  "I still have to work, and I don't want to leave Emma and dad,” I replied. "So that's it, you don't support me in something I'm passionate about?" He said with crossed arms.

  "I'm happy for you. I hope you're very happy there and you might meet someone new. Cause that's what's gonna happen, you'll meet someone who's interested in the same as you, and I'll be chopped liver." I said as tears started to fall. I told him to leave, I didn't want to deal with this right now. I cried myself to sleep. This day bites.

  Two weeks later

  It's been two weeks since our fight. I'm pretty sure we broke up, it wasn't said, but it feels like we did. I looked at my promise ring and cried. I didn't take it off.

  "Princess, I know is hard when you're loves ones go away. But keep in mind it's just a year, he wants to be come a veterinarian and in Spain they have one of the best schools. This is his dream. I'm sure if it was the other way around he would tag along just so you could have your dream too." He said as he gave me a side hug.

  "But dad, it's a whole year without him. It hurts just thinking about it. A year without him kissing me or hugging me, a year without him,” I cried in my dad’s arms. "Talk to him, it will help a lot." He wiped my tears. I knew dad was right, but right now I just needed a little more time for what was to come.

  It was work and home. The girls tried to get me out to have fun, but I declined Every time. I didn't want to go out, I wasn't in the mood. My date nights was Emma and junk food. I'm not gonna lie, I missed Shawn like crazy. I'll call him tomorrow and talk everything.

  The next morning I woke up and did my routine. I called Shawn and he said he would come today after his last class. I was so nervous, I haven't seen him in two weeks and I also have to talk to him about something very important. Three pm came and he was at my door, I went to open it and motioned him to come inside, we went to sit on the couch and then he started to talk.

  "I miss you, and I'll finish College here." He said while interlacing our fingers. "You need to go, I don't want you to be mad at me and then say that it was my fault." I sighed.

  "I would never blame you. I love you and I was just thinking about myself and didn't think about your feelings. I just got so excited. I’m sorry baby girl." He caressed my face.

  "Well, once you learn something about me, you will leave cause it's a very big responsibility." Tears were falling. "That won't happen." He wiped my tears. "Shawn, I'm a month pregnant." His jaw dropped.

  "I know we're still young. Especially myself, I mean I haven't even started college and now I'm pregnant. I'm such a mess." I cried. He pulled me to him and wrapped his arms around me. "I'll be here in every step of your pregnancy."

  "You'll resent us. You won't miss a lot. Except morning sickness, crazy cravings and mood swings. I know a year will go fast and before you know it, you'll be here. Well, you'll have to be here before the year to witness the birth of our child." I smiled. "Our child, it sounds so surreal, But I'm very excited." He said before pulling me into a kiss. How much I've missed his lips. "thank you for supporting me to make my dream come true. And the only girl who makes me happy is you, my baby girl." He caressed my face, I just smiled at his words.

  "It's you and me forever."

  "You and I forever,” I rested my forehead against his. Since the house was empty, we took advantage of it. After our hot time, we just laid on my bed enjoying each other. He told me he was leaving in a month, it's gonna suck not having him here, but he needs to follow his dream. I was happy for him.

  "I'll miss you so much." I sobbed. "I'll miss you more, baby girl. But I'll call you everyday. I want to see your belly every month." He replied before placing a kiss on my belly. I smiled.

  "I still can't believe there's a little person growing inside you, one that was made with so much love."

  "In eight more months he or she will be here in my arms. Can't wait to meet you, baby King. Daddy will change all your diapers." I giggled.

  "Only the pee ones, mommy gets the poop ones." I couldn't help but laugh. He's something else. We talked for a little more and then fell asleep. I need to tell dad about me being pregnant. Hopefully he won't get mad.

  Chapter 24

  First Day Of College

  A week went by and I still haven't told dad about my pregnancy. I so need to tell him. But the good news, Shawn and I were doing great, I was so happy he didn't go crazy over me being pregnant. I waited for dad in the living room, hopefully he won't be disappointed. As he was walking loser my heart stared to beat fast. How do I say, dad I'm pregnant and haven't even started college?

  "Hey, princess,” he smiled. I breathe in and out and blurted it out, "I'm pregnant,” I croaked out as tears started to fall. "I was wondering when were you gonna tell me." He chuckled. I looked at him surprised. "You knew?"

  "Yeah, I already went through this twice with your mother. I was just waiting for you to tell me. I will support you." He said before pulling me into a hug. I needed this hug from my dad.

  A month went by so fast. I still couldn't believe he was leaving tomorrow. I was not ready for that. I was on my balcony lost in thought. "Baby girl." Shawn said while wrapping his arms around my waist as I cried. "I don't want you to go." I buried my face on his chest.

  "I know, but this a great opportunity for me. And we will keep in touch, you won't lose me and I will not look at any girl." He caressed my face, "I just love you and I don't want to let go of you." I sobbed. We stayed in silence for a few minutes, then he crashed his lips against mine and we landed on my bed with me on top of him. "I want to make love to you all night."

  "Per
mission granted, babe." I said while removing his tee shirt. We made love all night. I wanted to savor him before his long trip to Spain. I was gonna miss him like crazy. The next day I woke up and he was taking a shower, which I joined and we made love again. After our shower and getting dressed. We said goodbye. I was already missing him.

  Four months went by and today I was starting my first day of college, Shawn told me to drive his car while he was away, he didn't want me in public transportation since I'm pregnant, he became that person that worries a lot, but since he was miles away, it was understandable. I was also six months pregnant. Three more month and I'll get to meet you my little princess. I'm having a little girl, I was over the moon when I got the news. I called Shawn and he was on cloud nine. He told me he would be here before her due date. I couldn't wait to see him. We still haven't decided a name for our baby. I decided to FaceTime him.

  "Baby girl, I miss you. I was gonna call you after dinner. How was college?"

  "It was really great. And I couldn't wait to hear and see your face. I also miss you like crazy, and look." I said while showing him my belly. "Yesterday she kicked for the first time. Wish you could’ve been here to feel it."

  "I'll be there in two months, and then I get to meet our daughter, sing to her. Daddy can't wait to meet his little princess." He smiled and then it happened again. "She kicked, I think she wants daddy home." I chuckled as tears were falling. "I'll be home soon with my girls. I love you so much, Harmony."

  "I love you more. Come home fast." I sobbed. "I will soon, and by the way, there's a surprise in my house, go check it out tomorrow. I have to go. I'll call you tomorrow."

  "Okay I'll go there tomorrow with dad and Emma. I love you babe." I blew a kiss then hung up. "Wonder what surprise your daddy has for us. Guess I'll find out tomorrow." I rubbed my belly and she started to kick again.
