“Yes,” I said anxiously after she departed.

He licked his lips delectably and I got excited. Far too excited but I’d go with the flow. Having him back in my life was a dream come true, but I only had two days until I was travelling again. There was no time for overthinking. I’d done enough of that while he was away. Probably enough for an entire long-haul flight.

After we got up, I had no choice but to follow him. The rain was pouring down in sheets now and he grabbed hold of my wrist. We ran down a cobbled street and then he pulled me under a large tree where we had a little bit of shelter from the rain.

Carter pushed me against the tree and kissed me senseless. I was helpless and felt a need unlike any other. I grabbed both sides of his face, and as rain soaked us, I kept his lips close to mine, tasting, exploring, and letting him know how I felt without uttering any words.

His mouth moved with mine as a passionate kiss became rougher. He bit my bottom lip and I moaned as he pulled me to him and bent down to hold my ass. When we separated, he leaned his forehead on mine and pushed his hands through my wet hair, almost cradling me in such a gentle moment.

“When I was away, I couldn’t stop thinking about …well, us, and all I knew was that I needed to touch you and taste you.”

The rain still poured down and I turned him to lean on the tree, kissing him deeply. I poured as much passion into the kiss as I could muster as I moaned into his mouth.

Then he pulled me towards the train station. Carter’s spontaneity was contagious. I followed with a huge grin on my face. A giggle burst from my mouth without a care in the world. We jumped on the Piccadilly line and I realized I had no idea what we were doing and that we had no change of clothes.

Shivering, he pulled me in close, partly wrapping his jacket around me. He murmured something into my ear that sounded like “a day to remember.”

We got off the train and I followed Carter’s lead.

  “Where …” I started.

He put his hands over my eyes. “No, it’s a surprise.” Continuing after him, we arrived at a beach. We hadn’t been on the train that long, but the weather was like night and day. Beautiful white sand and blue water greeted us. I saw a sign that said we were at Ruislip Beach. I’d heard about it but never ventured there.

“Uh, we didn’t bring anything with us,” I said.

Carter gave me a big side eye. “Way to ruin the moment. Now, shoo—go and decide where we’ll sit and I’ll be right there.

The beach didn’t go too far but had a charm about it. It wasn’t super packed, probably due to everyone in London assuming it was rainy and cold. If anyone based their days on the weather, it would be Londoners.

I followed the curve of the beach and found a place we could sit that was secluded enough and had a log to lean on. Much too late after the fact, I wondered how Carter would find me. Oh well, I was getting to spend time with only Carter, and nothing was better than that.

Ten minutes later, he arrived with two towels and some snacks. I watched as he spread them out for us. “Now, we go for a swim.” He started to strip down right before my eyes.

“Isn’t it, ah, probably a bit cold,” I hedged.

“Take off your clothes, Jamie. You’re coming in with me.” I didn’t move quick enough for him because then he’d pulled me up and started to try and undo my jeans.

“No,” I pulled back and attempted to sit down again. The clouds parted and the sun came out a little bit.

“Look we can do this the hard way or the easy way. You come of your own volition or …” He dragged out the word or before continuing, “I’m gonna dump you in that water fully clothed.”

I let out a gasp. “You wouldn’t dare.”

He moved in closer to me, kissing along my neck and making goosebumps appear. Then he lifted my hooded sweatshirt off and wrapped his arms round me. “Come on.” His hands moved up under my T-shirt.

When I looked up at him, his eyes were so full of mischief and fun, how could I resist. “Okay,” I quickly finished stripping down to my tighty-whities and ran out ahead of him. “Last one in has to buy lunch,” I called behind me.

In the slight breeze, I thought I heard him yell, “You wanker.”

“Ai, ai, ai,” I said, reaching the water’s edge. It wasn’t too cold but definitely not warm at all. Carter caught up to me and he took my hand in his as we traipsed farther into the water. Trying not to analyze it, I squeezed his hand back and we continued.

When we were about chest deep, he dropped back into the water and floated. The water surrounding him and sun glistening on his golden skin made me think of a stunning statue.

“This is the life, isn’t it?”

As I ducked under the water, I came back up and replied, “Can’t say I ever saw myself out here in the water with only my underwear on, but yes, it’s refreshing.”

Carter stood up and pulled me into him, wrapping his arms round me. Then he gave me a wet kiss.

I moved my arms up on his back to his shoulders and leaned my head on his chest. Then he splashed water on me and swam off.

I quickly caught the waistband of his boxer shorts. “Oh, I see your little game.” Kissing his wet lips, I had to lean up a bit. We were still covered by the water and not many people were out swimming in it; whether it was us or them who were the idiots, I wasn’t entirely sure. I continued to kiss him and at the same time, slipped his boxers down.

While one of my hands pushed through his hair, the other stroked his cock under the water. Then I bit his nipple and his moan was music to my ears.

It felt naughty and like a little piece of heaven. I sighed and stroked one more time before tucking him back into his shorts.

“Teasing me like that,” he said into my ear, “will get you—”

  I waited for his “nowhere.”

“Everywhere.” He promptly picked me up under his arm as if I weighed nothing and walked back to our towels. I squirmed and yelled and kicked, to no avail.

Everything happened so quickly, I could barely catch up. He moved a huge log to block us from everyone else’s view. No one was paying attention anyway, but rather looking out at the water, and placed me flat on one of the towels, pushing all our stuff to the side.

Carter straddled me and then took the other towel and started to dry my body. In between, he’d lick or bite my nipples, making me horny.

“Jack yourself off, Jamie. Show me how you make yourself come.” The way he stared at me was such a turn on.

“I’m wet and cold …” I trailed off when he cupped my balls, warming them up. Biting my lip, I tried not to yell out. I pulled my legs up but not too high to make sure he could view my hard cock.

While I stroked myself, just the thought of someone finding us was turning me on more than I ever would have dreamed. I reveled in the feeling of it, imagining someone could come by at any moment. Would I freeze or give them a show?

“That’s it. That’s it.” Carter got down between my legs and pushed in three of his large fingers. I didn’t get time to process that they were coated in something. My ass lifted off the towel and fell back down as I pumped. “What if someone caught us? Would you love it?”

I merely nodded, chasing the high. “Oh god.” He pulled out and batted my hand away.

“There’s a family just over there, but I don’t think they’ll notice. You’re going to come in my mouth. This huge cock is all mine now.”

I couldn’t help it. I panted, sounding like a dog gasping for water. And all at once, he entered me again as he sucked on my cock. Squeezing around him, I breathed in the sea air and embraced the feeling as I came and came. It only took a few thrusts for me to release.

Carter licked around my girth and I heard a pop as he lifted off at the same time his fingers left my ass. He crawled up to lean beside me and rubbed my side. After kissing me, he arranged our clothes to try and dry them I presumed. Me, on the other hand, lay there like a limp noodle, barely able to move. I threw my hand ove
r my face, relishing the beautiful day.

“Sleepy head, sit up.” Carter draped a towel across both our laps and handled me a bottle of Vimto.

I took it happily. “Thanks.” I took a sip.

“All that protein tasted pretty damn good.” He laughed.

“You did not just say that,” I told him.

“It’s grrrreat!” he exclaimed, doing his best Tony-the-Tiger impression. “Don’t tell me you didn’t enjoy it.”

“Well, there was this one time in Greece.” Even as it slipped out of my mouth, I didn’t know what had possessed me. I was trying to deflect from the fact that I wanted Carter for myself every day, all boyfriendy-like, when he wanted … who knew what. And I couldn’t deny I was loving our time together, but I wouldn’t rock the boat. I had to leave soon anyway and he did too. I’d enjoy today in the moment with him.

“Ha-ha, very funny.” He poked me in the ribs.

Leaning over, I gave him a quick kiss and stretched my legs out. “Just messing with you. It was one of the hottest things ever.”

“Oh yeah, are you an exhibitionist?” he enquired, playing with his hair.

“Never thought about it much, but when you mentioned people finding us, that just amped me up. Unbelievably.”

“You are so fucking hot. And watching you come undone. Yeah, so good.”

  I crossed my arms.

“And I loved it too,” Carter added. “Don’t go in a huff.”

“That’s better and I’m not in a huff.”

  CARTER

Going to meet Jamieson had me in a mix of so many emotions: lust, happiness, nervousness, and a helpful dose of fear. After talking to Marshall and Stuart, my thoughts were all over the place. Sure, he was hot. We had cleared the past. But what the fuck did I know about anything like what Marshall and Stuart had? Taking care of someone, being in a relationship, I didn’t even know if I wanted that, and yet my brain seemed to respond—but it was Jamie. My Jamie.

All these years I’d just gone with the flow. No one lasted that long, and I never thought they would. And what if it was a complete disaster? Then I’d lose him forever.

And so, with trepidation I went to breakfast. A huge weight had been lifted when we cleared the air, and since I’d been away, I’d had time to think over a lot of things. And I still had no idea what to do.

Now we sat together, looking out at the water after our wonderful spur-of-the-moment trip to the beach.

I chuckled at Jamie’s little tantrum. He was so adorable. Leaning over, I kissed the top of his head. “Sure, you’re not in a huff.” I rubbed him and pulled his shirt off the log. “Here. Don’t want you catching a cold.” He cuddled in closer to me and I let out a heavenly sigh.

“What’s next on the spontaneous agenda?” Jamie asked quietly, as if we’d be heard. A few people chatted on the beach, but otherwise it was just us and the relaxing sound of the waves lapping.

“Can’t have an agenda if it’s spontaneous”—I kissed his nose—“but I’ll think of something.” Just then my stomach growled. “And it’ll probably involve food.” Jamie grabbed my hand and the warmth enveloped me. A moment later, we stood up and got our things together, then we dropped off the towels and strolled along the edge of the beach before hopping back on the train.

Sitting close together, Jamieson leaned his head on my shoulder. After a few moments, I glanced over to see if he was asleep and he smiled up at me.

Pulling him behind me, we got off at a stop that I knew had the best fish and chips ever.

“Where … no don’t answer that. I can’t wait.” And when he patted me on the ass, I couldn’t help but push it out towards him.

As soon as we got to the street, someone tapped me on the shoulder. “Hey, Carter.” He was another model but also happened to be a one-night stand. That was one hot night. I shook my head to remove that thought.

“Shit,” I said under my breath before looking at him. “Oh, hey, Marc. How’s things?” I felt Jamie nudge me. Even though I focused on trying not to make it awkward, I felt my cheeks heat.

Jamie put his hand out. “Jamieson.” Was I imagining it, or had his voice gained an angry edge?

“Nice to meet you,” Marc replied.

“Yeah, so we’re just grabbing something to eat at Seas The Day. It’s one of my favourite places.”

“Oh, is it? I’m going there too. I’ll walk with you,” Marc said. He chatted to me about his latest trip to South Africa.

“Oh, yeah, I think I’m scheduled for Canada next. Should be a good time.”

Then Jamie tugged on my sleeve. “Hey, maybe I’ll just go home. You know, you have your friend here to catch up with. The word dripped in so much sarcasm, it might as well have been an ice cream on a scorching hot day.

I turned to him, questioningly, and then leaned into his ear to bite it, and whispered, “Don’t you dare.”

We all walked down the street and talked about this and that. At the fish and chips’ restaurant, we found a table outside, and I pointed for Jamie to sit down. “Beer?”

He merely nodded and tapped his fingers on the table. I went inside to get a menu and a couple of beers. Marc was picking up his takeout order. “Oh, guess what? I’ve moved in with Jeremiah.”

I hugged him. “So happy for you guys. That’s awesome.”

“Thanks, man.” He chuckled. “I’m getting daggers from your boyfriend out there, so I’m gonna go. But great to see you.”

“He’s not my …” I started, not sure how to answer without it becoming verbal diarrhea. Feeling my cheeks heat again, I glanced over at Jamie and gave him a one-finger wave—his face lit up—and then looked back to Marc. “We’re not … I mean, he is …We’re just having fun.”

Marc patted me on the arm. “It’s complicated?” His question couldn’t have been more trifold.

I sighed. “Ah, you could say that.”

“Can I give you some advice?”

I merely nodded, having absolutely no idea what he was about to say, positive or negative.

“When someone looks at you like that, my guess is, it’s more than just fun to them.” With that, he gave me a quick hug and left.

I glanced over to Jamie and he just smiled sweetly. I went back out to the table with a menu and two beers. “This place is the best. Have you been before?” I tried to push to the back of my mind what Marc had said and just enjoy the moment for now. I knew from so many things that were happening right now that it was more. I just wasn’t sure what more meant. I would have to dwell on that later.

“Ahh, that’s good.” Jamie licked the foam off his lips before answering, “No, I’ve not. Looking forward to it. Is Mason not joining us?”

“It’s Marc. And no.” I pretended to study the menu though I knew exactly what I’d get. My turn to make him squirm. “What do you fancy? Now wipe that jealousy right off your face.”

He put his hands up in a “who me?” gesture and shrugged his shoulders. Then he acted like he was very focused on the menu. “I think I’ll get the two-piece halibut and chips.”

I tipped the menu down. “Come on. Admit it, will ya? Actually Marc wanted to wind you up some more. Me? I let ya off easy.”

He let out a little huff and then bit his lip. “Fine. I was maybe a little bit. Happy now?” Jamie swatted me with the menu and I jumped out of his way and got up to go place our order.

“Too slow.” I jogged back to the counter and then returned to sit down, knowing they’d bring it out to us. “This place has the best ever.” I patted my belly like Tarzan. “Can’t wait.”

He took a small sip of his beer and gave me a strange look, his forehead creased.

Leaning over, I stroked his hair. I could feel the air change. Some clouds rolled in and it became cooler. Looking up at the sky, I wondered if we were going to get rained on again.

“Might need to …” we said in unison.

“It’s looking like rain.” We laughed together and I pointed t
o the tables inside. I jumped up and called behind, “Last one in has to pay” and laughed since I’d already paid for us.

Inside was packed already, with everyone else obviously sensing the rain, but I found a table for two tucked away in the back corner. I took a moment to track Jamie as he zigzagged through the crowd: the way his body moved so flawlessly, his shape of his perfectly formed lips, and that gorgeous hair.

He waved his hands in front of my face. “Earth to Carter.” Then he sat down across from me.

I shook my head and mumbled a vague apology. I’d nearly darted out my hand to pull his to mine. I really wanted to. It didn’t mean anything, right? It didn’t mean more. Fuck, now I was overanalyzing everything. I had to stop this. “Sorry, I was daydreaming.”

“At night,” was his quick retort.

Thankfully, the food arrived. I needed to get myself back to enjoy living in the moment. I proceeded to sprinkle cheese on my fries, and then added the maple syrup I’d ordered.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Jamie asked, rather too loudly, I thought.

“What do you mean?” I smiled and picked up my concoction, then dangled it under his nose before I took a huge bite.

Jamie made loud gagging noises like a mad person while he ate his fish and chips with no condiments. “That looks disgusting.” Then he pointed a finger at me and leaned across the table. “And you’ve got something right …” My breath hitched as he licked it off and then moved to kiss me.

Leaning into him, my finger brushed over his cheek, and I kissed him, too, before sitting back in the chair. I blinked then cleared my throat. That kiss was overwhelming. I let out a deep breath and concentrated on my food—my delicious food. Yes.

I heard a chair banging and looked up to find Jamieson moving to sit right next to me. “You aren’t getting any of my tasty dips.” I joked, trying to sound unaffected by that kiss.

“Hey, Car, what happened just then? Was it not okay that I kissed you”—he moved closer—“in public?” he asked in a lowered voice. “Because I’d still do it again.”
